The Triton is designed to be vertically agile as it could descend quickly through clouds to take a picture of a ship.
It’s also bigger than the Global Hawk with a larger wingspan.
The Triton is equipped with a Multi-Function Active Sensor (MFAS) radar which provides 360 degrees coverage of the area below.
The Triton is also equipped with a Due Regard Radar (DRR) that will allow the unmanned aircraft to fly alongside manned aircrafts.
For US, Space has X-37B Umanned Space Fighter (it's officially called Orbital Test Vehicle) & TR-3B Aurora Spacecraft to take care of.

This is the worlds largest. Surveillance drones are usually a lot smaller, this is unusually large.
Normal drones like the "Predator" have a wingspan of 27'. This drone is 66' (20m)
Australia is getting some of these by the sound of it.

What advantage does having the engine so high provide?
At altitude, fan blades don't reflect radar. Also, ground debris(FOD) doesn't go in to the engine.

This is not what Iran shot down. It was a Navy conversion of the RQ-4A originally called Global Hawk Maritime Demonstrator (GHMD) and now called the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Demonstrator (BAMS-D). GHMD/BAMS -D has been operating for over 10 years out of Signonella and a base on southwest Asia. There is only one operational squadron of Tritons and it is based at Pt Mugu on the California coast. Tritons have not been operationally deployed overseas yet.I worked on Global Hawk for nearly 20 years before retiring.
