- Super. Human. Introducing SRAM Eagle Powertrain. // Eagle Powertrain takes the holistic approach we took on the mountain bike drivetrain and adds another player to the equation: a motor. By doing this we have created a system that features better personalization, reliability, and integration than any other E-Bike system in market.

Really like when that dude at the end said guess that's it
Great marketing vid Sram! Informative, professional, and just the right amount of humor.
At the end of the day a derailer is dead for E Bikes with the power they have and the gearbox motor setup just makes sense. A chain the same size as a kid's learner bike is just not going to cut it.
At what point does it just become a motorbike though
Would have loved if you guys did integrated power for the dropper and derailleur so they don’t need separate batteries.
Eagle Transmission derailleur can use the extension cord which draws power from the system battery, or use an AXS battery independently.
Hope you were going for after school special. If so, you nailed it.
Miranda with the cameo appearance!!!
Honestly that's pretty damned cool! Look forward to trying it out soon.
Yay Miranda!
its gonna be a toss up between this and the new Pinion integrated system.....
Miranda with the cameo!
😊👍
Can u use coast shift feature while standing still and changing gears? For example if u are in the highest gear at the end of the downhill can you shit back to lowest gear without pedaling just standing still?
Wowwwww
Outerbike Moab starts tomorrow. Who's got demos? Would absolutely love to test the auto feature on some super steep slickrock climbs. Tried a Shimano set up with Auto shift at Outerbike Duluth on a very techy climb (Stone Age) and had to shut it off as it was too un-nerving auto shifting when you really didn't want/need it to. It was like riding with a rear der. that was out of adjustment. Otherwise the motor and drivetrain were great.
No ebikes in Moab please and thank you!
@@abaseballer88 but dirt bikes everywhere... common, Moab needs to sort there SH%@T out :D
And yet there's still a battery you have to charge for the derailleur and dropper. Why? There's a massive battery in the bike. How did this happen?
have a think on it...
because I think most people would rather have the wireless axs system than something more like Di2… it’s easier to live with. More home mechanics are going to lean towards fully wireless systems and if that means having rechargeable batteries then so be it.
@@jackbecker4866 I'm not saying that I'm saying tie into the the bike battery so you only have to worry about charging the bike.
@@netposerxit does use the the main batt for the RD you only need the axs powerpack for the dropper.
It's literally a non-issue. I would rather have seperate batteries. The AXS batteries last a long time and over the course of a ride you will use much more battery for the motor vs. derailleurs.
Do eMTBs also have integrated power meters?
Is it the "old" Brose S Mag with belt or the new one without?
Old one
I need that hat. $$$$$ take my money
Hmmmm.....I'm gonna go ride my single speed today.
Yep good call. Might go do the same!
What’s the point of single speed? Can you even climb steep stuff? Don’t you spin out on fast descents? I’ve never understood the appeal
@@Montezuma0 good question!
I find a joy in the simplicity of it. No suspension linkages, no gears, shifters and so on.
Of course, the you're never in the roght gear, but i live in a very hilly area and have found my 32×20 setup to be great for climbing. Only time i wish for more power is on the flats, but i don't have many of those.
It's kinda hard to explain just why SS is fun... but i can assure you it is! :)
Arent e bikes just getting lifeless? Just like EVs, Just no engagement but sit there and drive, I have an e bike stopped riding it over a year ago just wasnt getting the sense of been fullfilled after a ride, bought a gravel bike over a year ago its thee only bike i ride now, feel engaged. Changing gear having to work, feels great, now you have e bikes that you just sit on and ride and a computer does everything for you, how boring and lifeless
@@Montezuma0 Azoth pretty much nailed it. On SS, you become one with the trail. Just pedal. No worrying about what gear to be in. I rode SS for a solid year a few years back and I can't tell you the fitness level I obtained from that.
Can this new SRAM motor be used with a mechanical drivetrain and dropper? I don't care for the auto-shifts.
MAke no sense to release cuh product when Pignon developed that crazy good gearbox...
My next e-bike will be without derailleur 😁
A little corny but I would love to demo it on the trails
Please SL motor🙏
I do like it, but I can’t unsee the pinion……
You did not mention the price of replacing that cassette every 1000 km because of 10t cog wear. Shimano at least had guts to make LinkGlide
What’s next? A driveshaft?!
I’ve watched this entire video and I still have no idea what a SRAM is.
Gearbox please
The only thing holding me back is the S Mag motor, I'm not convinced the belt is fit for purpose @ 90nm. That said, if you consider the Brose motor roadmap i.e. their development of the Brose Drive 3 system (releases 2024) which ditches the belt and provides 410% assistance plus 814w battery. That's the game changer for me. So I'm holding back until SRAM adopts the new Brose Drive3 system as their new powertrain.
No mention of how flight attendants fits in here?
Compare to Pinion e1.12 Sram is just outdated 😅
What a mess of a presentation. "We spent years in the making"...? Good grief😣
obnoxious presentation for what seems to be interesting tech
just cut to the chase and buy a Surron
Prefiero mil veces Pinion, aunque no es un gran invento me gustaria una respuesta inmediata a lo que propone pinion E1.12. 😂
Gravel bike gravel bike gravel bike
This looks expensivee
E-MTB's , like birds, are not real.
0:38 .... boomer cringe ad moment
Boomer?? Hey! don't blame us for that garbage!😂
what a load of crap, how bout making a gearbox sram?
Kind of an annoying video tbh. Would have been much better as a simple launch video
This is bullsh has SRAM ever seen anything Shimano produced pretty sure ep8 and di2 did this already but you know everybody's the first. Funny there's 0 tech about the motor or how much power it has
It's probably better than Shimano's auto shift
Nothing new here, just copycat stuff with SRAMs name on it…you’re welcome, saved you 4.5min.
Looks like a product for women based on this commercials, like 99% of sram customers are women.
wired transmission when
Sticking with 10 speed. The gap between the 1st/2nd biggest sprockets by design will always be slow to shift on a 12 speed cassette. And because the upper pulley is further away on all the smaller sprocket's you will ALWAYs get delay and/or ghost shift's.
It's just a shame sram intentionally don't fix the weak b-screw/part that the screw presses against on the 10-speed GX derailleur. Need's a Type 2.2
Tempted to buy a shimano saint
