Indonesian Mie Goreng Recipe (wok-fried egg noodles) - Pai's Kitchen
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 сер 2024
- A classic indonesian dish that will please just about everyone in the family! Chewy egg noodles stir-fried in a sweet-salty sauce, with lot of crunchy veggies and juicy tomatoes. The sauce is the heart of this dish, but beyond that, you can add whatever meat or veggies you like! Omit the chilies if you're making it for kids, obviously, but you may want to add a bit of black pepper instead.

Hi Pai ....Love your presentations and the little tips ! Congrats on baba !
I know im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Orion Jaxton instablaster ;)
"Baby needs vegetables" is much better without context
Ah. As an Indonesian, I am so happy to see this. This is pretty authentic (except the kale, it's more common to use choy sum). The toasty egg is signature. And as long as you put garlic, shallot, chilies, and the sweet soy sauce, you're good to go. We usually eat that with a shrimp crackers and pickled cucumber too.
And oh, usually, we put MSG. Lots of it. Indonesians love MSG.
Krupuk for days!
That's why in Indonesia had term 'generasi micin' 😂😂
Do you also use tomatoes in traditional mie goreng?
Ayo makan..salam dr Australia
Iya dia bilang bisa pake sayuran lain cuman yg dia punya saat itu hanya kale 😊
Oh my gosh! Congratulations to you Pai on having a baby!!
Thank you :)
I am from Indonesia.. thank you so much for this video.
Wow congrats on your new bub, Pai! I’ve been following you for the longest time and I’m super excited for you! Also can’t wait to try this recipe haha.
I'm so happy I found this video. I've been buying the instant noodle version for awhile (adding egg and roma tomatoes too) and I've been looking to make it from scratch. This looks delicious!!!!
I shouldn't have watched this near midnight.... now I want some mee goreng!!! I love mine with bean sprouts (taugeh) 🤤

❤️your cooking and a belated congrat on the new new member addition to your family ! 😉
Thank you for appreciating Indonesian food. I love Thai food, too: Tom Yam Kung, Pad Thai, the curries, mango sticky rice, etc. Hope you explore more Indonesian food such as rendang, sop buntut (oxtail soup), soto, sate, gulai (curries), the peanut sauce for gado gado/karedok/pecel, etc. Good luck with you, Pai!
Love the "weee" sound you made when threw in the shrimps! :)
So cute.
The moisture is in the tail.. So if you wanna avoid splattering you cut the tail in half and use a kitchen tower to squeeze the moisture out of the shrimp
Congrats on the little sous chef!
Thank you!
Love this 💕💕 great video I love your channel :)
Congratulations!!! Glad to know you are going to have a little one soon💕
Oh my goodness I must have missed your big announcement video.. congratulations to you on your pregnancy Pailin I’m so excited for you, god bless 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️
Looks yummy!! Congrats!! Can’t wait to see your new little bundle of joy!!
thank you for another great video. happy holidays!!!
Woww.. looks so tasty and tempting!!! I wanna suggest you to eat with "Acar" and "Kerupuk". The Acar will netralized the greasy on the mie goreng and the Kerupuk wilk enhance the flavour. Give it try!! 🙏

Thank you for the amazing recipe! I'll definitely try it ka P'Pai!!
the most important thing about fried noodles is candlenut. Candlenut makes the taste of fried noodles become nutty
the only thing better than this beautiful mi goreng is your smile.
Made this tonight... tasted amazing! Thank you for sharing this recipe ☺️ x
OMG!!!Congrats Pai on the little sous chef!
That is looking like a great dish and must be so delicious. I have to pull my wok out more often and cook some of my favorite dishes like fried rice which I got hooked on while in Bangkok during the Vietnam War.
In the Singapore version, add cooked potato cubes, replace samal oelek with tomato ketchup, and also coriander and cumin powder. Love Mee goreng.
Great recipe!! I will try it.
Congratulations on mini pi ! Looking forward to seeing him/her . All the best for you new journey!
Thank you!
Im from Indonesia, i love pailin, so kind and smart
Hi Pai!
Congrats on the baby and your channel! They are great!!!
A question: Where did you get that bamboo spatula/turner?
Thank you!
U r having a babyyyy 😍😍😍😍😍 congrats ❤
Love u pailin great recipe looks delicious
Hi .... Um from Indonesia 😄 so glad when watching this 😘
Light seasoning of protein is a must in great cooking, regardless if you’re mixing it with rich sauce. It helps define each ingredient..
Lightly salt your shrimp then also the eggs.
Another thing to try, many have mentioned they eat theirs with shrimp crackers. Try it with crushed pork rinds or chicharones. It’s actually really good. We also eat ours with “crunchy” eggs - it’s how my kids call them, sunny side up but cooked separately on hot skillet and oil, in high heat, splatter top with hot oil, season lightly. When done, put on top of the noodles.
I promise you, it’s heaven!
Congratulations Pai!
WOW!!! Those egg noodles look so delish!!! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗🤗😘
Congratulation about the baby! 😊
Loved it! Now i know what to cook this weekend.. 😁
that looks wonderful
thank you so much for sharing I cannot wait to try this..
Congratulations to you both on your exciting news!
I made exactly how you made it, it taste so delicious . Thank you.. 💕😋
This is a staple food in my home. Easy, delicious and can never, ever go wrong! My mom always pound the garlic, shallot and a few pieces of raw shrimps into a fine paste for extra flavor, add meatballs or fish balls for the protein, plus a lot of that fried shallot on top. For those who haven't try this, you should! :)
Can u tell me ur mom full recipe ? Sauce ?
Paste ?
Wow i am excited to make this too. But it seems that its dry noodles
Congrats pai n Adam!! So excited to hear about your baby!!

So lovely., in Indonesia, my mom loves to add smoked pork, mushroom and or grilled chicken. Soooo nice. Thank u Pai... uou may try to make Opor Ayam.
OMGoodness, Congratulations! I was wondering where you got that angled wok spatula? Thanks
Oh man, Indomie is my favourite brand of Mie Goreng, but it's _so_ salty. Thanks for this recipe!
I'm new to your channel, really loving it
Thank you!
I love my mie goreng in wet version. It's kind of a version with gravy, added with choy sum, pork lean meat, eggs, and wood ear mushrooms. Some hawker adds pork liver, intestines and blood tofu to give it a variety of texture and flavours into their noodle dishes AND seriously, the added organs really bring up a different level of deliciousness to the dishes.
Congratulations on your little one! :-) Could you please share another thai duck recipe? greetings from Austria
Yummy as always~ 😍😍
Congratulation to you and your husband! ❤️❤️
Sweet soy souce the most pupular brand in indonesia is BANGO brand and more tasty
Every region in Indonesia has their own number one soy sauce. For Jakarta maybe Bango brand. It's tasted saltier than ABC. ABC brand is easier to find anywhere here in USA and Canada and good enough.
you have a good pronunciation when you say mie goreng 👍
and congratulations, god bless you and your baby ❤
