RIP FRED...if i had one band i could get with me on a lonely island,it would always chose Dead Moon, this band had so great big variety of music styles the played..never would get bored of them..
Must've seen them in old Doornroosje as well, tho somehow mems faded. Never forget tho how Andrew showed me how to open a bottle of beer using the door lock slot in Villa 65 VPRO radio studios :D
Mg favourite band ever. Saw and hung out in New Zealand, got missed with em, they were such incredibly awesome individuals. The best never truly dies. ❤
Pure rock and roll. My favourite band ever. Seen them a few times live in Greece and met them and had a few drinks backstage. What a experience. Love them.
Legendary, saw them in Groningen The Netherlands, beer got spoiled on the drums and gave a massive effect while they kept playing. Next day huge hangover hehe.
One of my bands opened for Dead Moon at the 7th Street Entry around this time. Sweet people. They made it upstairs to watch the openers. Fred, after our set: "I want that guitar (a 1959 Les Paul reissue)." Me: "It's got too many knobs for you, Fred."
Still kick myself for missing them on this tour at my former residence in Weed, Ca. That set list is amazing! All the songs I’d want to hear except for “The 99’s”. Thanks whoever recorded this! I dunno how I could hold a camera and not dance during this! RIP Fred and Andrew Love you Toody!
I drinked a bottle of champagne with Toody, Fred and Andrew after their gig in Paris 2004 to celebrate the birth of my first son. They were rockers and just nice, nice, nice persons. Love to you Toody, RIP the boys.
did a tribute to MoonDead FRED on my radio show, archive.kvmrx.org Come Up Screaming! (check it out at 1:48:30 into the show). Safe Passage dear brother FRED COLE!
@@tehrybite HA HA!! There are 4 of us. 3 with Fred and Toody and one with Fred and someone else! Toody is my step mom. Guess you are not really a fan. You Didn't know Fred Cole or Dead Moon at all! You fail! 😂
@@Violet-vp1vf Dead Moon headlined that show. The backline (drums and amps) was provided by the venue for all of the bands that night, but Dead Moon had a policy of using their own banged-up gear, so all of the amps and drums were set up in front of the house gear. Also, Dead Moon's stage set-up included the drums being set up right up front, mainly to emphasize that the whole band was part of the experience, not just the "front person". The concept of band-as-family and as a gang was very important to Fred, and he tried to incorporate that ethos into every aspect of the band. 1000% non-rockstar, DIY, rough-and-tumble attitude from beginning to end.
One of the greatest bands that most people have never heard of..

Yes, that is true

Still about the fire in the western world. Nothing has changed
POGO MFS
Not only did they rock the fuck out of every place they played, they were(are) the coolest people
the filming...the performance...the sound. And Fred and Toody were in their mid-60s by this point. Just gorgeous.
I can't thank the person who uploaded this enough. I love Dead Moon. Until the day I die.
Real rock n roll straight from the soul
Damn this is good ! 2-17-23 and I just found this band.

11/25/23 was my first time watching this vid. Watched it 5 times since then. So dope! Wish I would’ve known about them earlier.
RIP Fred. Thanks for all the years of amazing tunes.
Only recently discovered these guys on a random spotify playlist - instantly hooked
Skate 3 for me. Favorite track on the whole game soundtrack.
