Woooohooo! Was a pleasure having you here in Bavaria 🖤
Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park Mr and Mrs Grimm 🙏🙏🌄
This is my favourite film ever and I was born in 1977. Jessica Harper introduced this film at a screening in Pittsburgh several years ago, and I was totally there 🖤
I was also born in 1977 but this is not my favourite film ever. Nor was I at the screening in Pittsburgh several years ago when Jessica Harper was there.
Merry Christmas!
We are the same age. I never heard of this movie till now and will definitely have to watch it now.
I got to know what's up next during your European vacation...i'm IN....SUSPIRIAaAAaAhHHhh!!
@@SpaceCattttt does it matter???
@@IndigoSnake888 Does it have to matter?
Willkommen in Deutschland. Sehr schönes Video!
Fantastic video never saw this movie though 😮
Saw Suspiria when it came out in 1977.I was 13 years old.It changed my life.
Thanks for all you do.
Another good one is Profondo Rosso with a killer Goblin soundtrack. Some hard funk on that one! Great post.
Many cool locations in that one too like that old villa Hemmings investigates at night, I wonder if it's still standing.
@@LarryFleetwood8675 I’m not sure, but you’re right. It’s a beautifully shot film with great locations. I’m also glad all of the film score was finally released. The original soundtrack was missing a lot.
@@LarryFleetwood8675 The villa still exists but unfortunately the owners do not allow it to be visited.
Germany has some wonderful architecture very old and magical looking
Mad bomber Harris, the UK ww2 war criminal who targeted civilians tried to change that
You’re really taking full advantage of your trip to Europe…Germany! Great!
Fun Fact..The vivid colors in the film came from the director liking movies that came from Disney and others using the Technicolor Process of dyes which was going away. He was able to use the last Technicolor Process equipment in Italy to do so for Suspira and its mostly digital a digital process today duplicating the effect. One sweet note about Break Away Glass used in films is its often made with Sugar like how Lollipops are and shatters beautifully as well. Indeed bottles being broken over an actors head are often Sugar Glass and the blue color in a Swimming Pool comes from its coating not the water..🎃
Hey thanks for the cool info/facts! I love learning random things like that!
well done micheal and jessica a great vlog as always happy halloween to u both and of course a happy new year to u grimms forever 👻👻👻👻👻
Germany is beautiful. Thanks for the Suspiria tour ❤
What I loved about suspiria were the use of colors and they're arcitype along with the architecture. With all that in play it makes it so dream like. I love the choice of colors even in the road at the academy. Good stuff. The freakin best. I just wish he would of wrote mother of tears alot closer to the other two films
I discovered West Germany in 1964 when I was a 9 years old kid. I need to rediscover Germany again. Thank you.
Thanks for this tribute to an italian horror movie!
Good stuff guys! One of the few 'films' ever created (based on Thomas de Quincy's opium-induced 'Levana and Our Ladies of Sorrow). Argento was a master at this period (up to mid 80s) and a complete psychopath ;) Always wondered where these scenes were shot. I visited the 'Metropol' and the subway station (from Bava's 'Demons', 1985) in Berlin a while back. He really did like his art deco...
My favourite movie. Darío Argento, Italian film, music by the globin, beautiful picture. This film is pure Art! Regards from Baja California Sur, México 🖤
Thanks for doing this. I first saw Suspiria at the Drive In when I was 13 years old and no car so I walked and sat way in the back to a speaker close to me.. The Fury was also playing. The worst part was having to walk home alone in the dark.
Another great video. Suspiria is one of my favourite Argento films. Cheers 🍻🦇
Fantastic. I lived in Munchen in 1987. Beautiful city brings back fond memories. I worked at BMW in the Olympic Stadium.
One of the best soundtracks ever!
BEST FILM EVER
Very cool! Suspiria is such an interesting movie, partly because of the sets and the amazing use of colors. It’s almost like a painting. It’s great that you got to see all of these filming spots. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed the video.
You’ve inspired me to rewatch the film, forgot what a killer soundtrack this film had.
WOW Germany 🇩🇪 is impressive! I’ve never watched this film 🎥 it’s on my list ✍️ now. Thanks guys 👍 awesome like always 👍 Beverly Hills California
Aside from all those buildings being extremely impressive, I can’t believe how clean the streets are 😳
Simple question of education, do not think that the city hall puts extreme efforts in that. Just the normal. The extra is added by the people respecting their neighbours and neighbourhood....
Speechless. My absolutely fav movie … Thanks sooo much!!!
Thank you…enjoy.
What beautiful architecture. 🎃🖤👻❤️
Michael you`re always the best!!!!
all hail maestro.. this is a favorite movie. all hail argento !
I watched this movie for the first time recently and it's such a treat to see these buildings up close. The details in both the architecture and set design are stunning!
great classic movie
Morning, I really enjoyed your suspiria film locations, thanks for sharing and I didn't know they only use outside buildings and clever how they make films sets look so good, I do like watching behind scenes of movies and how they are made, I only watch suspiria not so long ago with my hubby, and Germany looks beautiful as well .
The "Müller'sches Volksbad" is open, but you can only get inside if you buy a ticket and have swimwear.
However, the place looks exactly the same as it did in Suspiria.
The first Argento movie i watched at 14.. it left a deep imprint on my mind.
Thank you for the hard work Grimms*
"Suspiria"(1977) is a supernatural horror movie masterpiece! This is an atmospheric and some moments very scary movie! The Soundtrack of the movie is eerie and very creepy! This movie is one of the 20 best horror movies of all time for sure!
No one does filming locations better than the gruesome Grimms. Thanks!
That area looks like a major inspiration for the Biltmore Mansion.
That Baroque architecture! Hard to get much more Gothic than that I think?
I still highly recommend visiting Villa Diodati in Geneva Switzerland which was where Frankenstein was written at and of course the Castles of interest is Castle Frankenstein in Darmstadt in Germany and Orava Castle in Slovakia where Orlok's castle is. Of course Bran Castle and Poenari Castle is a must visit when visiting Romania for obvious reasons....
Gorgeous architecture! I could stare at these buildings all day! No litter anywhere either like in the States! Thanks for Sharing! My parents spent a lot of time in Germany and loved it!
We were not expecting Germany to be as beautiful as it was.
if you visited it in 1945 it was not the raf bombed it to bits @@grimmlifecollective
The architecture in Germany and these European countries is just so impressive, it's like a time capsule. Wish American building's didn't change their original designs. And I've never even heard of this movie, definitely will be checking it out now.
there's also a remake out now to stream. i like the remake- some people do and some dont.
It's a cool movie, one of my favorites. You'll like it.
Beautiful movie. One of the creepiest I’ve seen in my lifetime. Thank you for filming this!
Street performer is playing 'My Bonnie lies over the ocean, my Bonnie lies over the sea'...now it's stuck in my head. Fun fact: in the Beetlejuice cartoon series, BJ's brother is named Donny,,,so BJ [don't say his name 3X!!!], was singing "...bring back, bring back, oh, bring back my Donny to me, to me."😅
But, that was a stunning tour. I'm not familiar w/the movie. 'Trauma' was the first Argento movie I seen, with Asia.
"Holy heckin's!"🤘🏼
#grimmlifecollective I met Barbara Magnolfi in Suspiria , she is very nice person, I met her at Horror Rama in Toronto, I like to go to Germany someday., it's one of my favorites films, thank you sharing this with me, Happy Halloween, Gothmas, Happy New Year!
Am so happy that the grimms have ventured outside the states, to bring us some great videos of places around the world,..They are the best tour guides you could wish for, great as always my friends ❤😊🇬🇧
I was today years old when i found out I've only seen the remake and thought the remake was the original, I need to change that asap, so ill be watching it tonight!! Great video as always!!
Happy Halloween! 🖤
The original is WAY creepier for some reason 🖤
One of my all-time favorite movies. Love, Dario Argento 🖤
I’m new to this channel & recently started watching your vids. There’s something about your energy, voice, & narration that’s so intense yet relaxing. You should be on the travel channel with your own show 🙌

When The Pianist yells stop it that's a sound bite also on I think a Ministry song
Psalm 69 at the very end

Wow Germany , beautiful! I have never seen the movie but I am searching for it right now! thank you guys for the respect you put in your videos! awesome!
Goblin is in my wheelhouse from dawn of the dead. Safe travels! Thanks for sharing this awesome trip with us.
I had never seen this film until Grimmlifecollective posted this filming locations video..I just finished the film.. So awesome..I probably missed seeing it in 1977 because I was 5..and Germany's architecture looks amazing ❤
I was born in 1979 and I’ve never heard of this film. Merry Christmas
Awesome tour! Jessica is very good in Stardust Memories too!
This was a fantastic locations episode . Would love to see filming locations for Demoni aka Demons directed by Dario Argento . You are the coolest yiutube couple . Looking forward to the next one . 👍
I hope they do a Demons locations video too. There have been a couple of location videos for it but nothing too in depth. Demons 2 locations would be cool as well.
I've been obsessed with this movie since I heard the Goblin soundtrack! This was great, thank you !
I will, love your channel and your personalities!
I always wondered what that dang movie was that scared me when I was a kid when I saw my dad watching it... This is awesome I totally forgot about this movie until you just posted this... Like I said when I was a kid I saw my dad watching it and it scared me.. thank you guys for always showing the stuff that nobody does keep up the great work
I got so excited seeing this video come up! Suspiria is one of my favorite horror movies. It’s so creepy and gorgeous to look at. Enjoy your travels! ☃️🎄🩰
Music by the Italian progressive rock band Goblin.
They toured live in the United States at metal festivals🤘
Goblin played live to a screening of Demons here in Pittsburgh back in October.
One of my all time favorite movies! Love Goblin! Awesome movie, amazing soundtrack!
Why am I not getting notifications? Gotta play catch up lol
Oh man! Thank you two so so much for this Grimmlife video. Wow. Can’t believe how amazing those locations still are. This is among your very best videos. Hands down.
WOAH my fave horror flick of all time 😮 can't wait to watch this. 🖤🙏🏼
That place is fantastic wow
I just happened to view
The remake last night and now discovered your video. I absolutely love your style and clear delivery. Now having seen the movie, I’m
So glad I did. What a pure treat!
I think the remake must be one of my all-time favorite remakes. Also agree with the Grimms bit, they're always brilliant! Happy Halloween, for even Christmas time is dark and full of terrors when you look close enough.
The Remake was terrible
@@jimmyneck2854 I’ll look into the original
This is great! I consider that Suspiria is within the lifetime, must to watch, 10 best pictures ever. Crazy psychedelic mind thrilling disturbing.... You have touched my heart again guys!
Also, I love when there is a tip included of parallel movies, telling us a bit of history unknown. I run and get the movie.
Keep up guys, you are part of my life now
Whenever I think you guys are the greatest you just out do yourself again! I suggested this to you guys a long time ago glad you are getting around to it
I’ve been lucky enough to see Goblin do a live score to Suspiria (and then Dawn of the Dead) in a church in London. Awesome.
What can I say? Argento..... art, everything art...
This is awesome and to be honest, I've got goosebumps, because Suspiria is my all-time favourite horror movie. I grew up with it and watch it at least once a year. The camera work in this movie is insane and when I look at the sets now, I understand why they were chosen and what you can capture on camera. Thank you both so much. I have to go to the south soon. Best regards from Germany. THE VEGAN SATANIST (Laurent) - P.S.: You said UDO KIER correctly
Laurent!!! So happy you liked the video and thank you for the HD Clips. Yes…you have to visit the sites.
To me the whole Argento filmography between 1970 and 1996 it's an endless collection of masterpieces.
Saw Suspiria when it came out in 1977. I was 13 years old. It changed my life.
Thanks for all you do.
I was excited to see you joining GrimmLifeCollective on the Nosferatu film tour!
Another really interesting video guys. Funnily enough I was watching Argento's 'The Church' last night. However, It's not really of the same quality as his 70's films like Deep Red, Tenebrae etc. Suspiria is still my favourite. Munich looks beautiful, never had any preconceptions of that city.
I look forward to your videos. I watch them on my lunch break at work. I love what you guys do.
I was right after all! 😂
I ❤️❤️❤️ that you covered my favorite movie! The remake was partially filmed in Italy, if you happen to be passing through there in the future.
I'm pretty sure that's the pool where my dad learned how to swim in the 1930es as a little kid. Munich is a great town, glad you managed to visit! The BMW museum is well worth a visit for any car fan too. Funny thing, I walked past city hall many times, never really looked that closely at it, really is a gorgeous building.
Freiburg is also gorgeous, I was only there once for a couple hours, plan to visit again. I grew up near Nürnberg and we try to visit once a year. Will there be more from Germany? Looking forward to it, this entire trip is pretty epic, so glad you share it with all of us!
Your location are awesome.Great contents.
This film is pure art I absolutely love it, the remake was great too
OMG YOU GUYS ROCK !!! THANKS
GRIMM & HERE'S ME ASKING IF YOU KNEW HAHAHA 🤦♀️
I saw this movie in a theater in Kansas City, Missouri back in 1977 by myself, the night that i saw it, a girl was stabbed to death in the very theater i was sitting in! I didnt know about the stabbing until i got home after the movie and saw it on the 10:00 o-clock news! Also, i had the soundtrack album of Suspiria and i tried to listen to it while sitting in total darkness. Well, i couldnt do it! After about five minutes I and jumped up and had to turn the lights on! I wish you two could locate and film the apartment building seen in the movie The Sentinel starring Christina Raines, another favorite creepy movie of mine.
I am impressed that you managed to go find the eact locations of where they shoot the best Horror movies. This is amazing!
👻 Never seen this movie 🎬 B4. Always learn something new with your awsome videos 📹... Your the best Michael and Jessica ✨️👻

Goblin just played live to the movie "Demons" at a screening here in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.
This is amazing ! 😍 this is one of my favorite films of all time as well, I've seen it dozens of times, the funny thing is... i actually work for BMW and i have no idea how i missed the museum in that scene!!! Great video as always guys 👏👏👏
Thank you for that awesome video! Love Suspiria! I have this sound track and the Dawn of the Dead sound track both on vinyl, Goblin is such a cool band!
