When I first started roll crimping I didn’t have a hull Vice and my fingers and hand would cramp up when I tried to hold the hulls so I got a hull Vice and I love it. I cut a small piece of rubber to do 20 gauge in the 12 gauge Vice.
Cheddite, Rio, Fiocchi, How about Federal? I have acquired 300 new primed 3” federal hulls, I have been searching for buck shot load recipes using long shot and these federal hulls, which is how I found this. Any reason this load wouldn’t work in these federal hulls
Great job like your work I'm new to reloading but can you help me with wads and hulls I have load data books the question I have is in the books it appears that some wads can be used with both am I correct?example in the book it calls for chaddite hulls which are straight walled and it says you can use wen. Double a hulls with the same wadl078 is the wad isn't Double a hulls tapered hulls how would someone new know the difference what wads go with what hulls sorry to be so long winded thanks for sharing I have learned a lot
If you buy a Lyman 5th edition loading manual it will show you which hulls are taper wall and which are straight wall. Yes, some wads will fit either hull. The Gulandi MG42 wad works in either type hull...but some mica wad slick really helps in seating that wad into the Rem STS or WIN AA hulls.
Roger, have you ever tried the GAEP BN2 or the GAEP deep neck slug Roll crimper? and if so, have you had any success with them? I’m asking because I’ve recently bought both from BP, and neither will actually roll the hull lip over. They’ll put a nice taper onto the hull, but just stop right at the center pin, so all I get is a rounded taper and not an actual roll crimp. I’ve got the BP duel pin crimp and that works fine. Just can’t get the GAEP crimper to actually roll crimp.
I use the bn2 often but I use it as a taper crimp on fold crimp hulls just to taper edges in. I feel like you that it doesn't perform well as a true roll crimp tool.
Thank you sir. Keep the videos coming. Learning a lot. That I thought I knew.
Thanks for the info, no nonsense straight to the point, great data, I’ll be trying the #1 load for sure…
Love the color coordination. Very slick...

What is the best way to powder coat buckshot: using a vibrator like Wade does, using a rotary tumbler, or shaking in a #5 container?
I put a guite thin piece of rubber under the hull when roll chrimping. Gives good friction.
Great videos. Are you cutting the wads if so how far ?
John
Nice!
Bingo chips. I like it.
What size bingo chips do you get ? Seems like 3/4" is too large ?
Cutting 3” Tuprw123 down to 2 3/4 how would that work. What’s your thoughts..
Reason why I asked I don’t have 2 3/4 wads but do have the Tuprw123. Tks
where do i get bingo chips?just asking?
That is a taper wall wad, look how loose it is in the hull, just stick with MG42 wads and some the ones you used for steel shot BB/BBB in taper hulls.

Drop to 28 gr of powder because federal has 209a primers wich are magnum primers hence you need to drop the charge

where did you get the pellets? and the roll crimp?
Cast my own pellets an roll crimp tool I bought off reloaders network
Hey sir, can these loads be regular crimp. Our do they have to be roll crimped.
Yes you can
Roger, has anyone tested that tupr 12 wad in a tapered hull?
I haven't
@@rogeradkins9146 yes, that is what they are made for, they work well in a rem. nitro gold. 2 3/4 inch.
What size bingo chips?
3/4" for 12ga
the rw123 and rw12 are tapered wads, not straight wall, therefore they will not properly fit in a straight wall hull. !!!!!!!!!
You do a great job on your reloads, but your videos are hard to watch.
