I guess, it have to do with RPGs being more calm than most other games aside from strategy and timing... what I mean is that other games have other elements that keep the player hooked, a RPG needs the awesome banging music to keep the player thrilled throught the story and countless battles, that being said. An RPG with well not good enought battle ost will be a pain to complete, digimon world DS being an example often times I mute the game due to its ost.

Day 232 of Kartikeya going on the Big Bridge to have some drinks with his friend Gilgamesh. Man alive my first time playing FFV was so long ago. And honestly out of the originals, this imo was the hardest of the bunch. I almost gave up on my first time through... that is until I came to the Big Bridge, where this theme started to play, and this song THIS SONG gave me the motivation to keep pushing no matter what it took! Comically enough I did get stuck later on, and forgot what I was doing and had to start all over again, but that first time THIS SONG was what pushed me. Comically on my 2nd playthrough I got all the way to Twintania and got stuck and then started over. Which was funny considering how close the final boss was at that point.
