New subscriber. Your info on a slow vs fast stream was very insightful. Plus your delivery on your fishing and your actions is just so calming. Tight lines
I feel you shld have fished the power worm regular rigged as well like the mice tail I haven't had nearly as much luck wacky rigged but good video though
I clamp down the barb on my circle hook too and keep pointing the rod to the sky around the bank will keep the fish a bit longer into the net, making it a more solid +1 before letting it go. Tight lines!
Funny story I chased what I thought was a giant of a trout all the way past the bend. Kept throwing an atomic teaser right in front of it. Nada. Turns out it wasn't a trout at all but huge carp. Actually found several of em swimming around even right below the dam or falls. End up catching a citation carp on corn right below the dam/falls on top of my limit of trout. Was a great day! I wonder how those mice tails would work at pandapas pond. I'd like to see you fish pandapas. I skunked the day after they stocked.
Pandapas is a terrible trout stocking location in my opinion. Just bass food. I've caught several 4lb+ bass out of there. You know they love when the stock truck pulls up. DINNER BELLS
Goin to Woodlawn to blue ridge trophy trout for 4 days starting Thursday. Just saw we have to go by Pulaski would be cool meet with and see the man and maybe jus maybe can give us some local holes to fish when we aren’t at the trip fishing lol
Heck yeah man. If you can, come on down and fish our toys4tots charity event on Nov 14th. I bought a pile of 2lbs and up rainbows to be stocked! 100% free to fish with a toy donation. All the info is pinned above in the comments. Thanks for watching
I will use this information when my local lake restocks again in a couple weeks. I've try wacky rigging the power worm in a lake and it caught a 2lb stocker beginning of the year but I will give the mice tail a try , tight lines!!!!
sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Aldo Jamari i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Mice tails work the best when I thread the hook through the top and 1/4 of the way through the tail. You caught some nice fish your way though. Noice video mán.
Another awesome video sir and I have some of them mice tails and heck I'm going to try them on a drop shot for bass and panfish and I mean it is like you have two baits in one and I think that's what you was saying lol. I mean cause you have the mice tails and then you have the little ball at the top you can take the ball off and have a worm and use the ball as a egg bait. Sir thanks for all you do your awesome..
Are you using a sinker below the bobber to keep the floating mice tail below surface? Do you prefer using a bobber vs carolina rig for mice tails? Thank you!
Yes, the weight is positioned above the mice tail to help keep it down. I like both the float rig & the Carolina rig. I just choose the one that best fits the location. Sreams or rivers I'll lean towards the float but ponds and lakes almost always Carolina. Hope this helps!
The worm really is a better bait in probably 75% of all fishing scenarios. The added power egg on that mice tail is just perfect when the fish has time to really study the bait. Thanks for watching!

What kind of #8 circle hook are you using? I looked for them and actually difficult to find.

Hey mate, would you still uses float if it wasnt a deep river but still fast flowing?
Yeap. I would however add some weights to help get it down to the fish

New to fishing, what's the yellow floater thing called on your rig set up
Trout magnet ez float. It's used as a strike indicator/float.

Care to compare a fly? I started using a fly called the seminar bugger.
Sounds awesome
@@NRVOutdoors I'll mail you a couple of black and olive ones.
I have both baits but usually default to the worm. Maybe I need to mix it up some 😅

@@NRVOutdoors love the mousetails for lakes since it is more buoyant. Pink worm for current and riffles = game over 😉😅
Agreed!
