  • So the Kwak is there now I hope. Fitted the new indicators, swapped the radiator, fitted new downpipe gaskets and fitted a new clevis pin for the rear brake. Nice before and after shot at the end

MOT booked for tomorrow. Hope it makes the trip OK 🤣

You fixing a Zx 6R, you got another bike right next to it.... you got a mountain bike a cycling bike in the wall, right next to a Stratocaster-shaped object.
    Top man

😂 Yeah it's a state. Didn't think anyone would even watch the video until the end anyway. Fence came down in the storm last week. Door was supposed to be used when building a workshop from scratch but I bought a premade one instead. And all the junk of the floor came out the little shed and was in that bin, but I was searching for a part for one of the bikes and never put it back... Too muddy to walk on the grass mixed in with my lazy arse.

There's something so satisfying about tinkering around on 00's bikes. Everything was so easy to take apart on them and access and absolutely no electronic gubbins that'll throw a spanner in the works. But man, those Bike-it / Motrax mount indicators just look a bit gash on all bikes of that vintage. Are you going to rattle can the wheels or take the corroded bits to bare aluminium and take up shares in autosol? There was something about those J1/J2 ZX6Rs or E model ZX9Rs that just hit the spot... other than carb icing. Lug over your panniers and your chain under your seat and you're off to Scotland for a week. Can't say you could do that with a current gen 6R.

Yeah I agree. The indicators are all going very soon. Although not to a lot of tastes, swapping out for all LEDs

Hi, love the videos. watched most of them over the last few weeks and have just bought a lexmoto assault as my first project. it needs a head gasket and has the same engine as your lex. I was just wondering where you bought your parts from and what material the head and base gaskets are? any help would be much appreciated. cheers

The base gasket is paper. And head gasket is steel. Most of the time I'll get parts from CMPO but if they're out of stock I'll get them from Ebay or Amazon. Most of the time they're just generic parts so if you know what you're looking for you'll find them easily

@LowtherSport that's great, thanks. Is there anywhere I can direct message you for some advice? This is my first bike with ohv etc so bieng able to chat with someone more knowledgeable would be brilliant. Cheers
