Hi guys Guillaume here :) When I go through the chords I meant to say D minor and not Major! Sorry about that I only realised after the edit hehe... Thanks for checking out the video anyways, stay safe and have a killer Monday!:)

Are you sure about the D Minor chord? With that much push, minor chord will sound strange. To my ears it is either Dsus2 or straight D power chord (without high E string).

It's important to mention that Rory had his Strat recabled with a single tone for the three pickups (important because your usual strat won't have a tone control for the bridge pickup). VERY nice song choice.

Thank you for this lesson about a song of my favorite guitarist. To be underlined, Rory was not only an incredible guitarist, but also singer, composer, writer, showman, live performer (Irish Tour 74 Live in Europe 72), acoustic finger picking, slide, mandolin, saxophone. Too bad he passed away in z995 from liver surgery complications. ROP Rory.

I was talking to a chap wbo runs a guitar shop in Parsons Green. He had a collection of Ex Rory Gallagher Amps. Yes a Vox AC30 with a Dallas RangeMaster Treble booster. (more like upper Mid boost) A certain Brian May approached Gallagher when packing up at a gig... He didn't keep this tone a secret, May went out and replicated the set up for what would be Queen... Slash also says RG is a key influence too.

Nice playing Rory Gulliaume , vox ac 30 top boost was his thing until his last couple of tours when he used a marshall also for crunch.
Ive seen an interview where he talked about his guitars saying the strat was his desert island guitar But he preferred the Telecaster Lead sound hence he used rhythm position 2 of the strat mainly.
His acoustic playing was also incredible, hear Ragtime Mama for an example that will probably make you give up😂 playing..❤

Irish version and correct way to pronounce his name is Rory Galla-Her not GallaGer use the H not the hard G in the middle of his last name. thats just FYI and the correct way...Rory is the most underated guitarist in the history if humanity. Jimi had it right.
