Lol. So true. Indonesian is so diglossic to the point that grammar doesn't really matter in real conversations. Just say the thing you are talking about and what you gonna do about it and then we can converse better.
Olly. Thank you for thinking of Indonesian. Even though it is relatively close to Australia it is remarkable how few Aussies learn this language even though it is relatively accessible, especially compared to other Asian languages. For the last thirty years educators here have spoken about the need to learn Asian languages but with relatively little success. What are we doing wrong?
Speaking as a complete beginner in Indonesian, the language seems to me to have some of the same advantages as Esperanto: The basic grammar is very simple, and a large vocabulary can be learned (or coined?) by adding affixes to a smaller number of root words.
THERE IS grammar in Indonesian (like any other languages), though is simpler than English. But as native speakers, we sometimes don't realize it. It's absolutely impossible for a language having no grammar at all
@Halal Productions ASMR hehehe because we mix our daily language with every person ethnic accents and we have a lot of it, proper bahasa Indonesia is use in formal environment like education and news, semangat belajar bahasa Indonesia, semoga segera lancar berbahasa 😍👍🇮🇩
False. Just a few examples off the top of my head where this is false and the stress in on the last: KetemU: stress on the last syllable KepOnakan: stress on the second syllable
I love this! Indeed indonesian language is easy to learn, especially the spoken form. We tend to use simpler word instead of using the proper pre/suffix or skipping verbs. ex. Aku mau (me)makan nasi goreng; Dia (tampak) cantik sekali; Aku (merasa) lapar banget; Kamu mau (mem)bersih-in ini gak? tr. I want (to) eat nasi goreng; She (looks) really beautiful; I (feel) very hungry; Do you want (to) clean this one, no? But of course proper sentence structure is required to write official documents, but unfortunately, many natives started to simplify the word to much in the text, which often makes confusion.
one tip to learn Indonesian: never start with the grammar just listening to Indonesian news, read their book, watch their movies, and understand a bunch of vocabularies and how to conjugate the words into sentence, then you already can speak Indonesian. one thing that you learn from Indonesian grammar is where you put pronouns, adjective, and verb and done, the rest of grammar is not significant if you just want to speak and communicate with Indonesian. the reason is Indonesian language is not the mother tongue for the most Indonesian, only 65 million people use it as their mother tongue from 270 mill of total Indonesia population. so Indonesian standard grammar is even obscure for the most of them
I’m Asian American but my dad is from Indonesian jakarta but he’s good at English too he just haven’t taught me but he died so I’m tryna learn it to make him proud

Andy Roberts grammar usage ain't common in here, if u want to learn daily sentences, it'll much harder than english

Even for me as Indonesian, Bahasa is a complex language, but I love it 😍🇮🇩

wow.. bahasa indonesia mudah untuk dipelajari
In all Indonesian words with more than two syllables, it is the penultimate (second from last) syllable that is accentuated.

Dada in English : chest not breast, buah dada means breast, so it's not the same between dada and buah dada
More comfortable if we say "Da Dah" with "H" letter in end of word.
You will have no wrong perception again.
