Ok now I really want to see more content about your off grid ranch power system.
I’ll try and come up with a good story to tell!
@@LoyalMoses thanks. I do get not wanting to get too off brand with the channel content. It’s a very interesting topic though.
@@0hN0es203 this may be a time for a 2nd channel?
@@0hN0es203 He has a second channel that would be perfect for this.
Can you share more about the fact that you are completely off grid, I'm interested.
I’ve wondered a lot about how I could do that. A lot of people ask and are interested, and I’m trying to think how I could share it and keep it 3D printing related!
@@LoyalMoses
Hi some ideas about your off grid system.
1) Showcase how you use 3D printing to create practical tools, parts, or equipment (if you have any) that help in your off-grid lifestyle.
2) How you power your 3D printer off-grid (solar, wind, etc.) and discuss energy-efficient ways to 3D print when resources are limited
3) 3D Printing for Off-Grid DIY Projects in the near future (?)
4) Share the challenges of 3D printing off-grid, such as limited power, and how you overcome them. This could include power storage, creative ways to regulate printer usage, or designing prints that are efficient for your energy setup.
5) Ask usfor ideas on what off-grid solutions they’d like to see made with 3D printing, and then showcase those builds on your channel
Thats the tough part… we aren’t limited on power, we have far more power than a regular home - the whole ranch is powered, but 3D printing isn’t really a part of it.
I’ll try to think of a good story that doesn’t seem forced.
@@LoyalMosesjust title it appropriately and those who don't want to watch can skip it.
@@LoyalMoses You don't have to keep it 3D printing related. I'd be interested just to see a ranch tour video about your setup including all your tech that makes it operate off grid.
UPs systems are the perfect little insurance to keep a printer going. Surprising how many prints you got til it stopped. Great video!
Lasted way longer than expected!
The A1 has a great power cut off feature so long as your print is still adhered to the bed. I had a power outage of 8 hours printing Gold Silk on my A1 and as soon as the power came back on it asked me to resume print and it finished flawlessly.
Yup! Power loss recovery is pretty good on Bambu machines for sure!
@@LoyalMoses It doesnt always work, one time it started printing 2 centimeters over the print. Or sometimes it doesnt work completly
Have you tried starting the print without power, only with UPS because some models can't deliver enough for the build plate heating
Thanks for the research. Your content is excellent.
Thank you! It’s still August, that code ends in September! Did you try it by chance?
Got two on lightning sale on Amazon. Got 3!
Yo!! We need more content on this ranch. Holy Moses that sounds like a wild place.
I’ll try to come up with a story!
@@LoyalMoses gotta get John Deere to sponsor you 🤣
Heck yeah!
48 of the little boats.
oh wow, I was way off.
That’s a very generous guess!
Haha!
I wanted to love these things. Bought two of them after seeing your video because I’m so tired of sealed lead acid batteries and the short lifespan. But both my golden mate ups back ups were bad. Both smelled terrible and one started acting like it wasn’t plugged into the wall randomly but it was. The other the internal fan went bad causing overheating. Sucks because they have a great idea here. Finally using a good battery!! But they need some work!
Wo! Two bad ones?!? I don’t think mine was cherry picked, I believe it came regular Amazon shipping.
Did they refund or get you taken care of?!
Technically one still worked, just needed a fan. But I just didn’t trust it after that and decided to wait for a V2! Luckily they did give me a full refund and offered to send me another with no charge. So maybe this one will be better! I don’t believe they would cherry pick yours. I just think I was unlucky there. Or maybe even shipping damage who knows. I just have a hard time trusting after errors like that but them giving me my money back and sending another makes me feel better for sure!
Would love for you to do this test with an A1 Mini. Would be good to have an A1 Mini running as a display for market stalls
Yes! That video is coming!
My maths weren't mathing, I expected over 50 benchies
Wo!
I have 5 x1c and 1 a1 how many printers would you recommend i have on each backup
damn, I thought it could only do 3, that's very impressive!
Crazy good! Especially for that price.
The UPS I use for my home server has a USB plug so the server can monitor the UPS status and do an automatic proper shutdown if the UPS is on battery for 3 minutes.
I actually guessed 5 benchys.
Nice guess!!!
Thank you for this. I was searching for some "printing on battery backup" videos within the past two months for possible printing at a craft fair, and could only find one guy with a video on it. I bought an A1 mini in hopes that I could make this work. Goldenmate doesn't have larger than 800watt 1000va UPSs. Do you have any others you could recommend that would be larger but still luggable?
APC, but you’ll pay a lot more! Mini will use far less power too!
Would really like to hear about the off grid system, channel relevant or not.
I'll have to find a good way to tell the story!
I use an APC unit which is good for 10 mins only. I also have a Panamax M5400-PM 11 in which it is plugged into the APC to control my Lazer and ink jet printers and my PC and 50-inch monitor to include the x1 carbon and K1 Max all go into that devise. I need steady voltage that is constant.
Oh, that is cool.
Was the heated bed on ?
Yes!
Hey there, nice content as always. Keep in mind that many of us are from Europe and we also need "your" products to be sold on Amazon Europe. This UPS and specs look nice but I can't find it on Amazon Europe.
I wish I could focus on that! All of Europe is less than 10% of our viewers. Hopefully that changes and we can have more viewers the EU.
Have you checked their website?
@@LoyalMoses Nop, but i will
I lost a voron control board from a power glitch and bought one of these right after. Cheap insurance.
Yikes!
Never heard of this brand. Not a bad price for that VA rating.
Great ups!
Sad that they've already disabled the coupon code.
Ahhh! I’ll have to check and maybe ask if they have another!
5 Benchy’s
Great guess!
CAN YOU PLS PLS PLS MAKE A VIDEO FOR A GOOD FIRST PRINTER TO BUY? Im not exactly rich so I NEED to make the right choice...I wanted to use it for art and miniatures...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I can do that!
Not me expecting over 50 benchys 😂 im not impressed
Haha! Awesome! Made me LOL!
I expected 3 and die on 4. Impressive.
Really good isn’t it?!
1:35 for running power is my guess
Good guess
@@LoyalMoses Hi sorry, what about energy consumption? I wanted a p1s or an A1 but I'm afraid for the energy consumption. Which one uses more?
10 benchy
Nice guess!
9 benchies
Good guess! A lot.
the A1 mini is only 150W max
Pretty cool huh?
8
Good guess!
25 benchies
That would have been awesome
i think 6 benchys
Fantastic guess!
9 benchy
I would have figured the same!
@@LoyalMoses can you make full review on the a1 combo please
I did back in December!
40
20 benchys
Dang! Big guess!
Go big or go home. 😂 The videos was very informative. I need another UPS. Thanks.
Haha! Thank you!
Loyal, Your up Late or Early?!
I am up late! So tired!
5.5
Boom!
13?
That would be cool!
4.5 benchy
Oh, that is so close!!!
Finally I’m pretty early
Awesome!
5 bentcy
Did you cheat?! That’s a great guess! Dang!
Did you cheat?! That’s a great guess! Dang!
@@LoyalMoses Nop, just my guess. But it was 5 and a 1/2 bentcy. I firstly thought that it will print 13 but yea.
Can you share some of your plastic
😆 cuz i see you have a lot
@@LoyalMoses How did you get sponsor from bambo lab i need it for my YT chanel
20
That’s a huge guess!
9
That would be a lot! Nice guess.
