@Red Boah Sutherland It is theoretically possible, given how _The Addams Family Values_ was a legitimate sequel to the 1991 film, with the 2nd animated series (which saw John Astin reprise patriarch Gomez in cartoon form & had Debbi Drewberry as Wednesday, whose voice-over portrayal was an animated amalgamation of both the sweeter Lisa Loring [1964 live-action sitcom]/Cindy Henderson [1972 _New Scooby-Doo Movies_ episodic crossover subtitled "Wednesday's Missing" & the 1st animated series in 1973] & sardonic Christina Ricci [the two early 90's live-action films] previous adaptations in terms of how her animated counterpart was characterized [the 2019 CGI film with Cloe as Wednesday tried to replicate this, just as it also did a dead-on shot-for-shot recreation of the classic sitcom's intro with composer Vic Mizzy's iconic vocals intact using the CGI version of the Family as a bonus scene before the final credits rolled]) spanning just 2 seasons airing in late 1992 to early 1993 situated between the two live-action films in 1991 & 1993, respectively.

@The Early Kit Inn Ok. Are you playing by asking about the comic strip? If not, look up Charles Addams and you will find the comic strip that started everything else.
@The Early Kit Inn I hope you have fun reading them. It will give you an insight as to why they made the characters in the film so much darker. While Raul Julia was not the right type physically he was just so Wonderful in every other way you really didn't care. Carolyn Jones was an amazing Morticia and quite sultry for the time but Angelica Houston was so perfect. Also both Julia & Houston were taller. Astin & Jones were perfect for each other size-wise.
@The Early Kit Inn When I was young. Many, many, MANY moons ago. I didn't like it as much. The reboot where Astin showed up as the Grandfather was kind of fun. A mix of the homage to the old series while trying out some new stories.
@The Early Kit Inn I don't know. Personally, I've found things that didn't appeal to me in my youth ( but close enough to adulthood when tried ) rarely appeals to me later. My opinions were reasonably fixed by 18 or so. I grew up more, certainly, but likes & dislikes were pretty much set. I couldn't say for you although knowing about the comic strip now, the way it's drawn will likely make more sense to you. I always got a kick out of the family on the Flintstones that moved in next door. Gruesome & Creepela? 👻They were a mock of the Addams Family without using the name and going just far enough afield to not get sued. 😁
I think the character of Wednesday represents a lot of us, her character starts off as an innocent and a optimistic child, but as the years go on, her character becomes more mature, with absolutely no optimistic, emotionless and completely dour. Most of us start our lives as happy children, but we then grow up and so become more hate-filled and negative to a world ran by idiots. I believe that's one of the reasons why Wednesday is a favourite to many. 😑
And then Mommy kissed Daddy, and the angels told the stork, and the stork flew down from heaven, and left a diamond under a leaf, in the cabbage patch, and the diamond turned into a baby! Our parents are having a baby too. They had sex.
While I do prefer Christina Ricci and her deadpan personality, you have to admit that Lisa Loring has her own separate brand of charm where she's cheerful about her morbidness. I liked this moment from the episode of the original series when Rocky the biker was in their house. Wednesday: "We have a surprise for you!" Rocky: "I know. Satan's coming to dinner." Wednesday: "Oh, no. That was last week!"
The Addams Family was a major influence on the whole Goth trip. Charles Addams based Wednesday on his evidently a bit creepy step-daughter. I see Lydia as basically Wednesday as a teenager after being adopted by a normal family following Gomez being put in an insane asylum over some cheez whiz incident and Morticia abandoning her children to become a jewel thief in Gotham City.
"Why are you dressed like that?" "Like what?" "Like you're going to a funeral. Why are dressed like somebody died?" "WAIT" LMAO!! Nobody plays Wednesday better than Christina Ricci lol. Gosh I love Wednesday Addams.

3:37... Actually, they would hit the ground at the same time. Weight doesn't change the speed at which things accelerate and fall. The only thing that does that is air resistance. So, say a feather is going to drop a lot slower than a penny; however, that is only due to the air resistance. If you took two bowling balls of the same size, no matter the weights, they would hit at the same time. One ball could be 50 pounds, and one could be 1 pound. If they were the exact same size and shape, they would hit the ground at exactly the same time. All things accelerate at 9.8m/s/s with no air resistance; only shape changes falling speed.
Thank you, LISA LORING for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift and talent. For me your character portrayal of Wednesday Addams is how you'll always be membered. May GOD bless your legacy and surviving family.
I keep hoping they'll do an Addams Family sequel with Christina Ricci reprising her role as Wednesday, now married to David Krumholtz's Joel. But for her to still be stoic, not like a reboot of Morticia.
They also soften her characteristic and stray from source material to avoid censorship. Despite of their limitation they still shown her darkness a little bit.
One thing that's been almost consistent (until the recent CG movies) is that the Addamses are the 'good' family, and the outsiders are usually monsters. Less so in the TV series, but even then normal people like visiting Tupperware ladies or government officials were accepted as long as they behaved.
"Children, what are you doing in there?"

@@_Spy_ A true inspiration
tiny little Wednesday is so cute though! Wednesday and Lurch dancing together is even more heartwarming.
All things accelerate at 9.8m/s/s with no air resistance; only shape changes falling speed.
thanks professor!
Does it matter?
Earthling1984 thank you sir Issac Newton
What if one is made of plastic and filled with helium?
Well there's only one way to find out 🤷♀️

They had sex.
These are the people who loves Addams family

I preferred Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams because of her darker, stoic psychotic personality.
same
Christina is the ONLY Wednesday in my book.
Yea. Same..
Same. I just can´t stand Lisa Loring´s ridiculous bad acting.
+rE zN Well She was very young

Puggsy: "Our parents are having a baby, too."
Wednesday: "They had _sex."_
I like the movie version of wednesday better than the black and white version. she sounds more done with life rather than a naive little girl.
I prefer this version. Wednesday is better dark 😈❤️
I can see that. Black and white Wednesday and Lurch together are totes adorbs

Thank you, LISA LORING for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift and talent. For me your character portrayal of Wednesday Addams is how you'll always be membered. May GOD bless your legacy and surviving family.
Wednesday Addams looks like the inner version of me...
They have therapists for that.
Jiggins
they have goth for that
JigginsTV same
hi
Growing up watching this family has to be why I now have such a dark fucked up sense of humour
aww. add me on instagram, maybe you will like what you see :)
and ontop of that the director of this was behind the men in black series too no less, which opens some interesting possibilities lol
ya sure.. everyone thinks they're like wednesday addams but Im even darker than her and many people are scared of me
You say that whilst your username is that of a harmlessly devout religious folk legend known for planting apple orchards cross-country?
scarlett8895 same
2:04
“I only like all natural lemons, organically grown, and no preservatives”
This scene was ahead of its time
9:45 Pugsley: "are they dead?"
Wednesday: "Does it matter?"
Such a low key schrodinger cat reference.
"Our parents are having a baby too."
"They had sex."
DUN DUN DUN
I keep hoping they'll do an Addams Family sequel with Christina Ricci reprising her role as Wednesday, now married to David Krumholtz's Joel. But for her to still be stoic, not like a reboot of Morticia.
You should watch the musical
It has a diffrent cast but its so perfect! I bet you'd love it
Wednesday is pretty defined outside Morticia, plus Christina Ricci still looks that age 😂
Brilliant
That would be cool
Oh well
Watching this growing up changed me a little because apparently when I was 5 someone fell down the stairs and I laughed and said are they dead yet
XD
😂😂😂
WHAT 🤣
Lol
The older version of Wednesday is kinda softer
Maybe the actress was younger
She was cute though 😊
They also soften her characteristic and stray from source material to avoid censorship. Despite of their limitation they still shown her darkness a little bit.
More innocent.
' what kind of powder does your mommy use ?' baking powder ' no , i mean on her face ' baking powder . she's so cute
"but you might find a nice girl to be miserable WITH!"
Misery loves company, after all.
3:16
“Our parents are having a baby too”
“They had sex”
Honestly me too Wednesday, me too.
Morticia Addams1964 that’s why it’s amazing
I love Lurch. He simply goes along with practically anything, because the Addams is the only one to accept him.
*"I Like being miserable"*
'You might find a nice girl to be miserable with!'
Wednesday is my spirit animal.
New XD
+Turtle_Talen Gamer So basically Wednesday is your Patronus ?
yAS
c;
no its not funny😡😴
The best part...😂😂😂😂
Dear mother and father
I hate you
Love Wednesday
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jenna cemented herself in this legacy quite beautifully.
Fr
oh yeah
-"Which one?"
-"Well they only need one boy"
-(Starts sewing the wood faster)
Lol 🤣🤣🤣
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how nice the Adams parents are. Especially the dad.
One thing that's been almost consistent (until the recent CG movies) is that the Addamses are the 'good' family, and the outsiders are usually monsters.
Less so in the TV series, but even then normal people like visiting Tupperware ladies or government officials were accepted as long as they behaved.
"Nice knife, can I play "Autopsy" with it?" This was on a 60s family sitcom!
Next year on USTV: 'Celebrity Autopsies!'
