Just watched the documentary about your mom and dad. Your mother is the exact same person we met in Bermuda 40+ years ago. What a great person! The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. “Wind Hippy” fits you and honors your parents, living free was frowned upon back then.

Know people from Malaysia they travel the world usually on cargo ships.
Everything grows fast with the tropical temperature.
Good you have someone to share the sailing.
Mentoring is an art with travel. Always stopping people boarding & trading from seperate boats. Stops conflict.
Lots of reefs so engine needs goos service & all the other parts checked.
Not that you don't already know this.
Fishing should be easy.
Always impressed with your sailing knowledge.

The abrolis Islands in Western Australia have turned up may strange items. Elephant tusks.
It was a major hazard to early Chinese sailors.
But Western Australia is famous for 1 thing. The number of sharks. The abrolis especially near Geralton goes 100 of km out to see. Picked up a Cray deck hand about to start work there. Before heading north. Some islands of the West Australian coast were used as nuclear test sites.
Most remote sites south of Darwin are aboriginal reserves & food is expensive to bring in by road.
Always surprised me the government were to stingy to put in a railway.
But sailing is your passion many island in Indonesia with reefs. A good sailor is needed for your many challenges.

They eggs aren't rotten. They have been cured in a solution of salt and lye and tea. You can make them by dipping in melted parafin to coat them to allow them to age after curing (keeps oxygen out). Prior to coating in wax, put them in boiling water for around a minute to make sure they solidify. Good way to store eggs without refrigeration.

It's nice to see your adventures taking a different turn - being on land & with a companion.
I used to own a farm in Arkansas, in the Mississippi delta, where a lot of rice is grown.
It's very profitable, but neighbors hate it when someone converts to growing rice because all that standing water attracts mosquitos which attract frogs which attract water moccasins.

Great episode. When I was overseas I rarely ate any American style food except as a comparison. There was always too much new stuff to try. I did develop a preference for duck with noodles, dry, and a peeled mango for desert.
