This is easily the best video of its kind available. I want to get a stimsons/childrens in a few months. Thank you so much for the clear and straightforward information
Finally, someone with a simplistic approach and an easy to follow setup. I’m getting a baby tricolored hognose snake. I’m going to be following this set up . Thank you very much. I probably watched 50 videos before I finally found one that gave me the exact information I was looking for. Thank you, new sub 🙌
This is great! I am hoping to get a Darwin from a hatchling within the next 12mo. I have no previous snake handling/owning experience and I don’t know anyone with any but I have loved snakes from a young age and it’s been a dream to get one. Could you make a video outlining how to care for a hatchling as a beginner, tips on handling and ensuring you raise a snake with good temperament if possible :) thanks!
Thanks for the vid. Gets to the point without making things complicated! Only question is, is it fine for the snake not to have UV and what would you recommend for lighting in this kind of setup?
@@muchify I've got her in a naturalistic set up with soil, fake plants, the whole nine. Shes the best. come out every Sunday night to be held, knowing hell get food once she goes back in. best snek ever!
@@Inverts4Introverts can you look at my corn snake I post it on my channel I dont know what gender or age it is people say its a hatchling is this true?
Hey great videos. I was just wanting to know if a container 21cm-21cm-7cm would be ok for a 2 month old pygmy banded stimson python is 7cm deep enough?. Thanks.
What did you do in the end how’s it gone ?I got a spotted python hatchling I had a 20 gal but got a small 9l starter rub he’s been in that a couple of weeks and I’m thinking of moving him in the 20 gal but don’t know if he’s to small and it’s to soon ..
With the thermostat, what do you set it to? (Is it 32-34° ambient?) And does the heat mat ever get too hot on the surface compared to air temp? The Reptile one heat may I have says it doesn’t need a thermostat but the cut off is 50° 😅
Hello Cookie, thankyou for your video. I had done all my research before getting my baby Stimson, she or he, we call her Bindi, has an appetite that i didn't expect. She is 6 months old and I am feeding her fuzzy mice, 1 every Friday night. Come Monday -Tuesday she is back out hunting again. I have 4 more fuzzies for her then will be moving up a size. The fuzzies are leaving a nice little bulge in her tummy. I was told to only feed her once a week, could i please get your advice. Id hate to think im starving her.
Mate my son has a couple month old children's python the guy sold me a dodgy thermostat what can I do to heat him safely untill I get home this coming week pls
If the area you live in is coming into winter I would highly recommend replacing the thermostat ASAP. Unfortunately any source of heat that isn’t regulated can cause heat stroke, dehydration and even burns. Using a hot water bottle that the water is replaced frequently would provide some warmth. Make sure to wrap the bottle with a few towels to reduce the risk of burning the snake. Covering the tank or tub with towels or blankets will retain heat too.

Thanks for the feedback mate. Always happy to help.
Thanks, this is very helpful. Can you provide links to the tub, hides and water dishes? Thanks again

Lighting isn’t required for this setup. Once they move into an upgraded enclosure you can offer overhead heat and uvb.
Thanks for the vid, so you keep this guy in here until it's 1? Then the big inclosure (90cmx60cmx40)style?
Grate video mate 👌
Appreciate it mate. 👍👍
@@CookiesCritters more then welcome mate
Lol, glad im watching this now before i order my first noodle. I spent weeks setting up something i wont be putting him in for months 😅
so did you put him in yet?

would it be possible to do some videos on the breeding side of snakes and build/set up of tub rack systems?
Yes we can definitely do that👍
I got 10L tubs on special on amazon (same sistema brand). I assume these will be ok for my hatchy spotted and woma when they arrive.
Great video, love the simplicity. Will this setup also work for Woma Pythons? I found out that they like to borrow.

It's the yeah awesome for me 😂
Will you be putting out more content?
I have a hatchling corn snake but I have a 20 gal should I remove most of the hides to make it more like this or should I keep all the enrichment

How big does you have to be if I have a full sized snake?😊

Thats a saftey cut out, not a thermostat. Get a themostat so you don't cook your snake :)
The baby looks very similar to some I have but I don't know. What is it please.
Ooops forgot to say. Great video.
Is this ok for baby hognose snakes? I heard they like to borrow.
What about a yearling tank?

Wicked vid. Much appreciate this.
What size are each of the vent holes?
Can too many holes be placed?
Cheers
Too many holes could lead to maybe losing a bit of humidity. If your snake is hardy then it should probably be fine.
