Little note on mixing stuff with ammonia to make it smell better/ using a acidic and then a base product: make SURE you know what you're mixing, and how it reacts! You can make some truly nasty chemicals that can cause serious injury or even death when you start putting even the most common household cleaners together. So read the ingredients and warnings on everything you use, and google if you're not sure.
One thing I typically do is, just before I set the enclosure back up, I add just a little, like the tinniest amount of their old substrate back, I noticed ever since I started doing this, my snakes are really calm and relaxed when they go back in as a little bit of their scent is there so they are sure it's safe Don't know if this helps but I hope it does! My mum is always like that (not including the scared part, just reluctant) so I come up with plans. For my snake, I did nearly a years worth of research and saved up (I waited until Christmas to start saving up because my birthday and Christmas is not too far apart). I also got my mum to watch videos of cute and cool snakes (that might not work if she’s scared). It might seem tedious (and it can be) but it’s worth it!
From what I found out in Microbiology, disenfecting gets rid of live bacteria/ microorganisms and viruses. But bacterias can produce spores which are way harder to get rid off. You can prevent them by cleaning regularly so don't skip cleaning day or you may regret it. The more time you give them to grow, the harder it will be to clean up. But don't exaggerate on clening neither, because there are good bacteria that you need.

Part of my cleaning process is F10 Veterinary Disinfectant. You add a few ml per liter of water(4ml per liter for average strength with F10 SC), and can be used just about anywhere. You can spray it on and let it air dry too, which is neat. Great for any animal enclosure, and you can also spray it on your hands and let it air dry to disinfect your hands. Love the stuff, pretty cheap, and a small bottle can last forever since you need such a small amount per liter.

For the first 24 hours, UA-cam only counts what it calls “real” views. Used to be that a view was counted when 90-something % of the video had been watched, but now they won’t tell creators how a “real” view is determined, they just say that it can take a day for the views to start counting in real time. Great video! Thanks for sharing! Oh, that My cleaning process is similar. I use a shopvac and paper towel to get all of the bedding & debris out of the enclosure. Then, I use a disinfectant depending on the surface. For routine cleaning of plastic & melamine, I use hydrogen peroxide. For routine cleaning of glass, I use vinegar. For deep cleaning of used items for a new animal, I use F10...because I have it already and it kills everything...just rinse well with water. I also have wipes that are basically F10 for wiping down things like scales and holding bins that might be used by multiple snakes. We've used chlorhex before too for enclosures of wildlife that might have parasites. After rinsing, I steam clean anything that needs a deep cleaning.
Learning is a great tool to use in life, even if you feel it doesn't always apply to you at the moment. It is also a great pass time for the shut down.

That's funny you mentioned the setting time with peroxide. I'm a custodian and they told us to do that set time with our peroxide mixture. Granted they said to respray since our surfaces make it dry out, but that's awesome you do that exact thing. ^-^ Love you videos.

PS: don’t mix acids and bases! Let each completely dry before you add the second solution. Bad things will happen if they mix.
But they’ll just turn into water and salt…
Besides! You fail to make it a ph swing if acid and base mix together - you only get from one end of ph scale to about the middle

That's funny you mentioned the setting time with peroxide. I'm a custodian and they told us to do that set time with our peroxide mixture. Granted they said to respray since our surfaces make it dry out, but that's awesome you do that exact thing. ^-^ Love you videos.
i honestly cannot fathom feeding/cleaning that many enclosures every week...having a big reptile collection seems neat in theory, but i know i could never maintain it, practically. major respect to you for the dedication
