What I even enjoy more than the content itself, is all the effort put on the design and art of this channel. Every video feels unique! Admirable work, Jack.
I love the POV, but I do find myself finding compositions in my head which are different to yours. It's interesting how two photogs might see the same scene differently.
@@PhotoCinematica I dunno about that. I would always come back late from work on the bus and get off in Brixton for the short walk home. Always a weird but good vibe in Brixton at night or in the rain I find aha.
I need to buy some of this film and shoot it for myself just to see what I can do with it! I think this film stock makes red images pop and feel cinematic with the rest of the images look grungy green or something like you would see in the movie ‘The Matrics’. Great job!
Looks interesting! I dunno how much of the look has been edited in post, but it looks like expired 500t stock I shot once. Great video as always, always look forward to your stuff.
Cool video, the pov thing is awesome. I like your ratio of photos to video. I hate a 15 minute video about film photos, where most of it is not photos. Love it.
I have some 120 but have yet to run it through my camera. From my experience with Lomochrome Purple, I think for this I will rate at 200 and probably over expose a little. From conversations with my lab, they think the base ISO is 200, mid range, so exposing either side of this means you will be pulling or pushing a stop. Hence at 400 the grain and contrast are more pronounced. That was certainly the feel I got from shooting Lomochrome Purple and I imagine this is very similar. Just waiting for the sun to make an appearance so I can try it on a shoot.
i bought some of this in 120 as well as FPP Chrome in 35mm, havent seen the results yet. Not sure what to rate film like this when the suggestion is 100-400. Great vid as always!
Stumbled across your video as I randomly bought a roll of this to stick in an old rangefinder my other half bought. Although I used to shoot film 30 years ago, I've not done so recently, and the concept of a film not having a specific ISO is confusing- if I set the camera to ISO 200, say, and shoot how the meter says, how do the developers know what to do? Do you just tell them what you shot at? (I'd assume that if the film "should" be 400, then having the camera set to 200 will be underexposing for example, and it'll need that correcting in development...)
Yeah it can get confusing sometimes. But if it says 200 on the canister then that’s the iso for you and the lab to follow. Up to you if you wish to push it to 400 but then make sure you tell them to Push +1 👍🏼
hi.. ive been coming back to this video time after time.. if i may ask, how many percent was the POV slowed-down? its so cinematic, and please do more POV because its so calming :)
@@PhotoCinematica thank you for your generosity.. some day i hope i can create a good photography channel too. i wish to get back to photography again. and so i bought myself my own Nikon D100 before the year ends ..its old, but it will be enough and it will allow/encourage me to be creative with what i have. :) thank you again brother.. i wish to see more of your videos.
Almost looks like bleach bypass. Would be interested to see a series of bracketed shots of a test set up - macbeth chart with perhaps a few other objects and a person it...
How did you scan it? I shot one roll of Metropolis and sent it to a lab and the mutation of colour was very very strong, but I was hoping to get those blue tones
Not at all. The Leica’s are built to withstand a little wet weather but I wouldn’t take it out in a storm. But I’ve only taken it out a few times in wet weather 👍🏼
No, rated it at 400 within the 100-400 iso range the film suggests and developed at 400. Blue tones are part of the film but maybe there was some added colour changes when scanning
@@PhotoCinematica Yes I noted the Cyan on the building site fence in the first images and there was quite a difference on the video to what you got on the Leica. I quite liked it, presumably due to overcast weather? Thanks.
The colour tone to the image and the music made this feel like a dystopian movie
Definitely has that vibe!
That's the same emotion I got from Metropolis

Ah David!! Thank you! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nice video! POV is a great way to see the moment, always love this style
Ah great to know. I think I need to move it higher but happy with it for a first attempt
@@PhotoCinematica I think a head adapter would be more "immersive" But the chest adapter is a great way too. I like the results of both
The blue tint gives it such a dramatic look and it goes so well with gloomy London...Love it!
Yeah it really suits the setting!
I love the POV, but I do find myself finding compositions in my head which are different to yours. It's interesting how two photogs might see the same scene differently.
Yes me too! Even watching it back I found myself noticing other things and wondering why I shot what I did 🤷🏻♂️
Great movie with the moody BGM ✨
Ah Brixton is where I live, always great colours to be found and such good shots across the video
Iv been a fan of yours on instagram and to recently find out, you also have a UA-cam page is incredible, love your work man🙏
Cheers Sador!! Really appreciate the kind words! Hope you enjoy what is coming up!
Love the moody tones! Made me excited to use my roll 😆
I like your videos. Great photos. Nice work. I will use it taking photos to buildings in a sunny day.
Thanks a lot! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Love it 👏🏼 thank you for sharing
Ah thanks for watching friend!
Beautiful images
And another one! Just as I discovered your channel!😍😍
Perfect timing!
Really enjoy your videos, style and how you see. Big Thumbs up! keep going
Cheers Lukáš!! Thanks for the support
this is awesome and inspiring, just got this film and i will try it in my local downtown, greetings from mexico
Amazing! Good luck and have fun!
beautiful
those were such pretty shots.
Made me miss living in Brixton. Loving the channel.
Cheers Matt, need to get back there in the summer, the rain did me in haha

I did very little editing, small exposure and contrast adjustments, that’s about it 👌🏼
That blue cast almost looks like it's tungsten balanced. Would love to see some night photography on this with a pro mist filter.
I shot some of the 120 at night so when that video comes out, it should give you an indication 👌🏼
2:56 favourite shot

If you can afford to, I’d go as low as possible
Nice! I personally like it. Seems to look alike Fuji Industrial 100.
Some similarities but I think Fuji Ind has a lot more saturation
Nice video and pics...do you think this film stock works better for moody exposure or does it work well in bright sunlight?
Unfortunately I didn’t get to test the 35mm in sunlight but the 120 looked great in sunlight. Give it a go 👍🏼
Thanks i have a roll of medium format 6x6 ima shoot in sunlight...thanks again

Hey! All of the POV is slowed, I think it was shot at 60fps and slowed to 25fps
@@PhotoCinematica thank you for your generosity.. some day i hope i can create a good photography channel too. i wish to get back to photography again. and so i bought myself my own Nikon D100 before the year ends ..its old, but it will be enough and it will allow/encourage me to be creative with what i have. :)

This tone like Kodak vision 500T shoot in cloudy weather
Yeah some similarities but I think 500T holds up some of the colours better 👌🏼
Wonder what it’s like when it’s sunny 🌞
@@MarsKvaratskhelia Yeah I wonder too, I shot some 120 recently in sunlight so maybe that will be an indication
@@PhotoCinematica where is video of 120 version 🎞 ?
@@MarsKvaratskhelia Coming soon, waiting for the film to come back from the lab :)
Im curious, did you use the flash for the outdoor shots?
No flash used here ✌🏼
How did you scan it? I shot one roll of Metropolis and sent it to a lab and the mutation of colour was very very strong, but I was hoping to get those blue tones
I have a video coming soon about the scanning process 👍🏼
Anybody know what song was used in this video? I really like it.
Day sleepers - Cuby
Has shooting in the light rain like that ever caused the camera/lens any problems?
Not at all. The Leica’s are built to withstand a little wet weather but I wouldn’t take it out in a storm. But I’ve only taken it out a few times in wet weather 👍🏼
Make a video about scanning please! (If you scan yourself of course)
That’s coming up!!
@@PhotoCinematica just saw it 👌🏻

Man I'd love to collab with you on a project!
It really shines under artificial lighting.
Did you push this film? Why is there blue-ish tone?

The music was wack. I liked the POV, and not that much the film.
