Please consider re-reading. A reverential fear of the Lord is very much Biblical... "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Proverbs 9:10 "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28 Just to cite one example from both Old & New Testament, though there are several more.
@Ashh9 why would you feel that you have the right and the authority and the wisdom to directly contradict what scripture says in multiple places that God wants show me one place in scripture where we are told that God does not want us to fear him. You need to be very, very careful about trying to bend scripture to fit what makes you comfortable and what you want it to say.
@@TackRoomBibleTalkScripture is written by MEN! You actually think that's the word of god? no wonder you european settlers still live with fear and hate in your heart. We understand creator to be in everything and feminine. You WYTE men would do well to learn from our NATIVE ways. You still have so much evolving to do. You're on our land!
Excellent message and just what I needed for today. A healthy fear and respect for God is what’s missing in the modern apostate church and in my own life. Thank you Dewayne.
Fearing God is a deep reverence and respect for God. The fear of God is respecting Him, obeying Him, submitting to His discipline, and worshiping Him in awe.
@@DecarloThorntonNo brother! It’s more cowardly to know the truth and be scared to submit to the creator. Don’t let people of the world take you off the path Of Jesus Christ ✝️
I hate my sins so much! There's sins that i keep committing over and over, and i hate it. My flesh is weak, but i won't give up on turning from those sins. I've been praying for strength and forgiveness and deliverance. Please pray for me 😢
Turning from sin to conquer our flesh is not Biblically sound doctrine. Even the thought of foolishness is sin ‘Proverbs 24:9. Believing the Gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is sound doctrine.
The fact that you are penitent is the right path, if you didn't care then I'd start to worry. We will sin till the day we die, talk to our Lord he will guide you, you need to walk up the mountain, not sprint.
Galatians 5:16 "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Believe that the Lord can AND will deliver you out of your struggles. Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." It will be done in accordance for His will for you.
The second wisest man the world has ever known said : "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." ~ Ecclesiastes 12:13
John 16:33 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Much love from South Africa, you are doing alot for me and calming me down I've been through the worst year of my life till this point and I'm hanging on by a thread and your videos have been so calming and helping, thank you sir
Ay man, I just want to say that we can't win through our own efforts. We can't live life at peace by our own power, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We can do ALL things THROUGH Christ. ✝️
Nobody naturally drifts closer to God. Don't be glad that you have power over sin and the devil, but rather be glad and rejoice that your name is written in the Book of Life.
I feel the shifts in the world. The loss of God. Science has taken him away from my mind, for better, or for the worse. We need a new. New meaning drawn from the ether of this world. We need that ether of both God and how much our world matters so much.
Thank you Dewayne. I’m female from Uk and you really speak to me in the way I need it. Started with horse channel (no horses 😂) but I’m here because of Christ having found me irrespective. Don’t stop doing this. In the pure way you do.
I also started with the horses channel,. Just soaking up life advice. And i just could sense there was something special about Uncle. I could tell he had the fear of God even without him preaching. So, it was not too much of a surprise to me when he started a Christian channel. Nice to meet you
For many years I was a Christian, but found myself beyond victory over my sins that I kept on going back to. But all that changed when I became serious, and started reading my Bible every day. I set apart the first of my day to be with God in prayer, and the reading of his word. Before I dedicated myself to that, I really did not like reading very often, sometimes I would read a book, but then I would go a long time without doing so. I don't read very fast, so it takes me a long time to absorb what I read and that might be a reason why I was always hesitant. But after reading the Bible through in a year, and then many times more now through the New Testament, Proverbs, and Psalms. I have noticed a leap in spiritual growth within me and a greater cognizance of the presence of God, also greater faith. I know firsthand God's faithfulness, and I can see how Jesus has always been there in my life chasing after me. Thanks for the lesson on the fear of God. That has always been a confusing thing to get my head around because most people don't even know what that means entirely. Have you ever read The Cost of Discipleship, by Dietrich Bonhoeffer?
After listening to this talk, the verse that kept running through my mind all week was 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love." This is one of those situations where understanding the context and meanings of words is so important as we study the Bible. In this case, it's important that we don't mix up the fear of God with being afraid of God. After all, if God is perfect love and perfect live casts out ALL fear, then it would stand to reason that if God's love is in us, we shouldn't fear Him. But considering that fearing God and living in His love are both clear imperatives for a Christian, in order for both of those commands to be reconciled, we should definitely look to see if we might be misunderstanding what one of the terms means rather than assume the Bible is contradictory. In my study, I came across Matthew Henry's commentary on 1 John 4:14-21. In it he says: "We must distinguish between the fear of God and being afraid of him; the fear of God imports high regard and veneration for God. Obedience and good works, done from the principle of love, are not like the servile toil of one who unwillingly labours from dread of a master’s anger. They are like that of a dutiful child, who does services to a beloved father, which benefit his brethren, and are done willingly. It is a sign that our love is far from perfect, when our doubts, fears, and apprehensions of God, are many. Let heaven and earth stand amazed at his love. He sent his word to invite sinners to partake of this great salvation. Let them take the comfort of the happy change wrought in them, while they give him the glory. The love of God in Christ, in the hearts of Christians from the Spirit of adoption, is the great proof of conversion." Often terms like "the fear of God" or "the wrath of God" come with our own modern interpretations of the meanings that are based on our own personal and current contexts (usually negative). As a result, I know there have been times where I personally had difficulty reconciling the idea that God truly IS love. But the beauty of the fact that God IS love is that when we are filled with His Spirit of love, we don't have to fear Him by being afraid of Him, but instead, we are blessed with the opportunity to fear Him, by living in constant awe, wonder, and amazement of His goodness, beauty and love!
Hey DeWayne, I've had many people argue that to fear God just means to being in awe of him. I tell them they can have awe by seeing Mount Rushmore. But Jesus spoke about fearing God in context of don't forget who can drop you into hell. That's the one you should fear.
I am super new to Christianity and submitting to god. Within the past week. I have done so much work diligently and obsessively on myself to be the best man I can be for myself but more importantly for others. I’ve felt so much pain in the last 3 years at the same time. It’s been a fight for survival to be quite frank. I came to a point in which despite all of my efforts I lost my optimism and hope a week ago. I felt myself slipping from what I had built myself up to be. I’ve been met with a lot of rejection and betrayal through an ex lover and with people in general throughout my life but I never chose to be jaded. I always chose to love more and to keep on trying to keep on giving everything I had. Well in the past week I chose to submit myself to god in private. I know that the Bible mentions to not be ashamed of faith. I want to keep it to myself while I nourish it though. I truly believe that faith is exactly what I need and quite possibly the only thing I need to free myself of the above after 33 years of life. So with all of this being said I truly appreciate your videos as they are not embellished. It’s taken straight from scripture. I have watched all of your videos within this week and I am so grateful for them. Thank you 🙏🏼
Awesome. Please don’t be discouraged. Discouragement is a big weapon of the enemy and he will attack you at some point. If you feel discouraged remember it is not from God and pray fiery destruction over the hand of the devil sent to attack your life. I have learned this from personal experience. May Jesus Christ be with you.
@@percy3711 Thank you so much for the kind words. What you mentioned about discouragement being a weapon of the devil makes a lot of sense. It truly does feel like a battle consistently pulling you in both directions but if I think about it I choose to let the devil pull me in his direction in my weakest moments. Discouragement and hopelessness is in his direction. So I am so thankful to know whose direction I can choose to go in. In gods direction. I know the pain, it was real in my life so it’s the familiarity that pulls me toward it. I’m choosing to go toward the faith in those moments now. It’s truly restored so much hope that I have been seeking for so long. Anyways, I know I am overflowing but I truly appreciate the kind words.
It is really, really great and priceless that you finally are shifting your eyes to God, where they should look as a matter of fact. We are flesh and bones, because of this, rejections and that sort of challenges will blow us and it is painful. You know what the Savior Jesus Christ ( Yeshua)said, " Let not your heart be troubled , believe in God and believe also in me" . What he meant is there will be an end to our hurt and pain, what we should keep in our heart is the hope of the Almight God. The Lord is our light and our salvation ( Psalm 28), God will bring us to his light and the peace of God that we have when we put our trust in Him will help us to bear all the pain in this life. The God of heaven will support us and guide us safely to our heavenly place in Jesus Christ. So May the Lord help you and guide you. God bless.
God bless you and be gentle on yourself as you continue in being kind to others remember to give yourself positive Pat's on your back. Jesus loves us and will continue to guide you. Be true and kind to you. 🙏💞
Every day I pray to God that I do not live today in self-delusion or ignorance of His will and expectations. One pragmatic concept I use to keep myself from becoming a prideful "know it all" is the concept of the Dunning Kruger Effect, where you're so prideful in your own intelligence that you ignore all critique and wander in a horrifying state of unrepentant ignorance. God has been absurdly kind in putting up with my decade of hedonistic atheism. There is nothing that terrifies me than losing the faith or favor that Jesus Christ gifted me with. Me and the woman I love are seeking a church that respects God and His word as sacred ends. Everything you've spoken about is absolutely true to a point where both of us pray before we take any step inside and outside our homes.
We left our assembly a year and a half ago, much for the same reasons you gave. Didn't leave with hard feelings or arguments, just felt like we needed to get out. We have started meeting in our home with another couple and our children and it has been good to have the fellowship and worship together again. I absolutely agree that there is little to zero repentance on churches today. I've even heard it said by people in church that if you repent after you're saved, you are relying on works to save you. A healthy fear of God leads us to repentance. A healthy fear of His judgement and knowing we will stand in front of Him someday and give an account of our life will cause us to want to clean up our lives and get the junk out. Thanks again for sharing this!
Amen brother! To those who are deceived into thinking that to fear the LORD is simply to reverence and/or respect God: The LORD is again and again described as terrible, in Deuteronomy and in Hebrews God is called a consuming fire, when Jesus Christ returns the blood of His enemies will be as high as a horses bridal, and the mightiest men on earth will hide in fear, and beg the mountains to fall on them, so that they don't have to face God, Philippians 2:12 says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, and there are countless more examples throughout the scriptures that should cause anyone who reads it to have a fear of the LORD that is unrivaled! And ALL who don't fear God as they ought to right now can count on the fact that they will come to fear God later. The trembling fear of the LORD is where your salvation begins, and as your relationship with God grows stronger and more intimate your reverence and respect for Him will be added to your fear of Him.
For some of us we didn’t have an earthly father and it’s not about fear for me it’s ignorance there was no one there to teach me thank you for your kind words always
I’ve studied Marcus Arelious teaching myself how to be a father a man a better person wisdom of the ages I can’t read but there’s plenty of videos right here on the Skagit I’m self-taught forced to be God’s will is his own
My father taught me a long time ago regarding sin and pride that were more deep and inward outward " if we fear God we wouldn't worship an earthly country more than his heavenly kingdom and country and exchange it for any country - USA or any country . The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Amen .Thank you .
Man this hits home. All these motivational books these days are self serving, thank God for the Bible for being our ultimate source of wisdom! Thanks for reminding us the awesomeness of biblical manhood because it is truly a beautiful thing when a man is strong and leads. Great reminder to chew on!
Thank you Dwayne, Well said; Matthew 10:28 KJV "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." I share your concern for assemblies which are led by individuals who are more terrified to face the displeasure of man than the displeasure of God. I believe that “Therein lies the problem”. One cannot fear a God whom he cannot see if his heart has been captured by the "fear of man" whom he can see. Galatians 1:10 KJV "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ". For the church to live in the actual fear of God it will first need to find deliverance from the fear of man. Proverbs 29:25 KJV "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe". May God grant "me" the grace day by day to live true to my own exhortation for herein have I failed and repented with Godly sorrow many times. To overcome I shall keep my eyes on Jesus and not man. Thank you!
During covid I read the 1689 Westminster Confessional which was written by men who could have been put to death for writing it. Let that sink in. It defines and explains God’s bible in the clearest way man could explain at the time. Remember in 1689 the KJV had not been out long and people were just learning what God had said in the bible. What I drew from this book was how magnificent, holy, righteous and powerful our God is! How much He is utterly worthy of our worship and yes fear. He actually became GOD sized to me and with this revelation I realized how our modern church is all consumed with HOW TO and WHAT TO and has completely missed WHO TO and WHY TO. I am also adrift without a church building, but not without my God or faith as I wait for “wise” worshipers. I know others are out there because I see videos like this and I think, this is God willowing us. I need to be patient, God is MAGNIFICENT and I am waiting on HIM. Dwayne these videos are very helpful. Thank you
Self righteousness can and will lead to not having the fear of God, that's what I experienced along with no wholehearted repentance or tears ,to my own shame ive been very unwise but not anymore praise be to God alone. ( I would strongly recommend listening to this message more than once. ) Glory to God.
D’Wayne, I fear God and I am battling with the cravings of the flesh. My biggest issue is getting to know people, and I pray about it everyday. My past hasn’t presented me with very great influences and I am afraid of being that bad influence for my fellow Christian brother’s / sister’s. After highschool I used to smoke weed every single day, a habbit that I have realised ruined my life. I have no self control over the cravings of the flesh, but I am rounding the corner of being a month sober. My faith in Christ and fear of God is the only thing keeping me from breaking, as well as your video’s. Although I have such a strong feeling that I need to connect with my church leaders more, and confess my sins, this fear of getting to know people haunts me everyday.
Good on you for your month of sobriety from weed. I was also a daily all day smoker for 10 plus years but the Lord helped me get away from it. It gets much easier believe me. Be careful of getting to know people, a lot of people in church buildings are wolves in sheep's clothing. Christ often wants us in isolation. I learn more from people like Dewayne and others online than I ever could from a church building.
Hey I used to be a stoner for years and recently fell back into the habit and weed is the number one reason you struggle with the flesh, especially sexual immorality and I realized that because I also kept falling back into this struggle with my sin As long as you realize that you don't lose your salvation everytime you sin, but also that you are sowing death into your life. You need to let go of the selfish desires of your heart and seek the will of God and ask for a pure heart.
Keep it up. The closer your relationship is with God the less sin is a factor. We are all sinful but I find the more I pray and keep in open communication the less I want or feel like sinning. 1st month is the hardest when quitting; after the 3rd month only problems make you want to return to that lifestyle
I think your 100 percent right, no fear, most people only look at one character of GOD that’s love, so most people think they can act anyway they want, no fear. Also people put their trust in others and not what God said about things. Dewayne probably won’t see this, but I have really enjoy your teaching on this new platform.
I love this! Thanks for sharing. The fear of the lord is the secret to your prayer life, the secret to your financial stability, the secret to the wellness of your mind, and it’s the secret to a happy marriage, and I could go on and on. Nothing is more important in life than fearing the Lord. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man! People do not keep his commandments, because they do not fear God. My whole life changed when I started fearing the Lord, obeying his commandments and reading my bible daily. I'm truly blessed now because of it. ❤
Fear of repercussions has saved my life numerous times. I have even been extremely high on psychedelic drugs and was concerned about the repercussions enough to do the right thing.
Thanks for this wisdom today sir it's like how the TV was made for example if you watch the TV and the things you view on the TV their programming you to do wrong instead of right in today's life their making it seem like good is bad and bad is good and this is in the bible we are in the book of revelations for these things will come to pass. But remember this verse Proverbs 11:8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. Meaning seek God and you will be saved from evil and the wicked will be put in your place instead.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. He who fears has not been perfected in love. Both are true. A Christian who trusts that it is only Jesus's blood loses the fear/condemnation and gains respect and reverence through seeing the love that God has for us both through the cross and life experience.
Proverbs 9:10-12 New King James Version✝️ 10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 11 For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. 12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.” 🙏
Thank you sir, fear is such a misunderstood term these days, and your reminder is absolutely needed! Some of us can't weep anymore because it hurts too much but that don't mean we don't need too
My parents disciplined us. But there was a difference in the way each one did it. At that time parents used a swat on the backside. My daddy did. My dad was a hard working man that took his family responsibilities seriously. But what I remember most were the "talks" when I did something I shouldn't have. I would look at his tired, weary face and see the disappointment and sadness at what I had done. So I grew up with a fear of disappointing, disrespecting and dishonoring him. I was looking forward to this topic DeWayne. You did not disappoint. Thank you.
I feel it when I grieve the Holy Spirit, nothing I can do will please God unless I walk in the Spirit...to be honest there is no real good in me..although the world would see me as good.
After I Listened to the message all the way through, I had to pray and ask the LORD to forgive me, and help me to fear Him, help me to seek Him and His Holiness. I am thankful For this message you shared. I needed it.
Great message! The fear of God is truly missing in much of the Modern American Church. I've certainly been one. Thank you for sharing. We become what/who we behold. If we fear the sin, that is what we behold. But if we fear God. Then that is what we Behold. Ley us keep our eyes on Jesus. :)
I Can attest to the earthly father affecting the relationship with God. My father was schizofrenic and my relationship with God I dont think has ever been well. Turning 40 next year and it is a huge sorrow for me. But I want to deeply live like What Dwayne is saying here. Please pray for me.
Thank you again for bringing us your intimate knowledge of scripture for us men hungry for righteous living. You're a true blessing for us men that don't have a real spirit of strength. God knew what he was doing. Thank you God
Thank you Dwayne, I needed to hear this! I'm a long time viewer, drinker of wrangler coffee. I'm a retired police officer, broken down cowboy. I suffer from severe ptsd and your videos help me so much! Thank you so much God bless you and your family
I agree 100%. The marriage issue is one of my pet issues, and it has been for a long time. We don't understand the rules properly, so we enforce it, so people hear a "loving" message about how God wants you to have a great marriage (rather than one marriage that sanctified you both), so (by the state, not any spiritual power) divorce this one and be "blessed" with another OR (in my case) leave your 6+ year partner because you "aren't married," as if the state would ever stop the divorce because it didn't meet God's criteria. This then prevents understanding and acceptance of plain texts. It's a causal loop. Sex is marriage. Rich Tidwell is one who teaches on this, if you don't believe it already. Many people have been radicalized away from God. Apply the scriptures when they suit you. Deny or twist them when they don't. Matthew 11:16-19. So if anyone wants a specific prayer to lift up, ask that Jaimie returns to Conner soon. I appreciate any agreement I can get from my brothers and sisters. I asked God for this one before I knew she existed. I confess to anyone occasional harsh treatment, but I insist that I was very, very good to her excepting my temper, and I have been fighting and improving by His power.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 ~ "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all." Isaiah 26:3 ~ You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Matthew 5:9 ~ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. John 14:27 ~ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
So much love from a young Italian guy for this channel. I come here after watching some of your videos on Dry Creek Wrangler School and this channel just like the other one is a breath of fresh air in a world that is increasingly dirty and corrupt. Dwayne without knowing it you are helping me get through a difficult period in my life and you are making me rediscover faith after years of doubts and unhealthy atheist friendships. God bless you and the genuine American spirit that I have been looking for for a long time
Job's issue was his ego and self-loathing while his faith was on trial. He was blessed and needed a righteous reminder. It's totally relevant to many individuals today. God bless everyone.
Your spot on I have known some highly intelligent people that didn’t have an ounce of sense or common knowledge or good judgment. I don’t have an education and I’m comfortable with that because I can do things on my own praise. God talk to him all the time sometimes he gives me the answers that I don’t wanna hear, sometimes I try to understand mind of God and you will go crazy because it is he has infinite wisdom and don’t even try to go there you just have to understand who God is and who we are. Everything has its place. I know my place. My place is with Jesus.
Dear sir thank you for your time this day. I have only subscribed shortly now. You are the first person on UA-cam that when they say we’re going to read this chapter, that I’ve been almost yelled at in the back of my head, “Andy pause this and go get your Bible out right now.” Thank You God for bring this man to my life. Sir you make so much sense. Simple straightforward common sense that Bible study. Amen Jesus.
Blessings Beautiful soul. I LOVE that answer. You care about your Brother by telling him straight what he needs to hear. God bless you and your Beautiful brother.
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continue to bless you and your family as well as all and any endeavors you undertake. Stay in His Word and continue to stay on the straight and narrow Way. God bless you.
I found your main channel and enjoyed the heart to heart talks. Can’t lie and say I care too much about horses. But this is by far the best channel UA-cam has to offer me. Thank you for doing it. Praise be to God
You said it that explains everything. Thank you for following what the Lord has impressed upon your heart. You done the will of God, I needed that and so do many many others. Thank you Jesus for your message 🙏
I greatly appreciate this video. I look forward to others like it. I agree all wisdom comes from God, but I think sometimes it takes a man like you explaining it for a man like me to have it click.
Thank you again Dewanye, for hitting the nail on the head. With what I was struggling with, when it came to Fearing ABBA. I was lacking the understanding and now I get it. Peace.
Thank You Dwayne, been listening to you for some time, regarding fearing God topic on 6/23/24. Thought I may add that to fear God is also to respect him as in the old days fear ment to respect. That is what I do is respect his power and laws best I can, striving to do so in my life, always learning !! I really relate to your messages, and am grateful there are still Men in world, I appreciate your inspiration and You !! Thanks I'll be listening, Regards Don.
I find it hard to fear God, not because I think he is weak or not worth fearing, but I know how much he genuinely and truly loves us. Its hard to fear my lord when I know he only has love for me,
There's a healthy kind of fear. Dwayne in this video brought up the practical examples of a child fearing to disappoint their dads, not an abusive manner where it's to avoid wrath as the end, but a fear of the Lord because you love and respect Him, especially in an act of gratitude realizing you and all mankind wouldn't exist without Him. Realize that we are talking about the God that created objective reality that made us in HIS image.
Our Lord God is a vengeful, jealous God also. If you take his name and then continue to not fear Him, He will rejoice in your destruction just as well as He rejoiced in the day you were found. Fear Him
Uncle Dwayne, you uploaded this video just in time! As I was at a point in my life where I constantly struggle with lust, I was looking for the wisdom of a grown man and you gave it to me through God Almighty. I'll take your advice sir. My best regards to you and thank you so much!🙏
Brother Dewayne, I think you nailed it. I grew up fearing my dad because he was hard on me. Now that I'm a man I now realize why he was hard on me and I'm thankful for him being that way. I also see how this works with God. I'm not perfect, I still sin but not near as much as I did when I was unsaved. I fall into sin, but I don't jump into it. But when I sin I am broken from it because I sinned against God and I have grieved the Holy Spirit and I feel bad about it. Does that mean God stops loving me? No. But I keep in mind, that even though we are saved by the grace of God, does that give us the right to sin? God forbid. Romans 6:14-15. Fear God and always look upon Him. Know that He loves us, even when we sin, but fear Him as in respect Him, but also fear God because He can crush us if He wanted to. We will never do this perfectly, because no one loves and fears God the way He deserves to be feared and loved. We just can't do it. The good news is, God knows it, and since we can't do anything like we should, He sent His only begotten Son to save us. And just to let you know, I do go to church and I do weep at times because I have learned how good God is to save a wretched person like me. Personally, I believe there are many people in church who believe "in" God, but they don't "believe" God. This is why most people don't fear God. God bless you and keep sharing His word.
I joined a church I had longed to join for several years. After working 4 years as a Covid travel RN, I was able to join. The first thing I received on my phone from the church was a link to join a MLM business. The pastor's sister, who also works in the church office uses the church on Tuesday nights to sign people up for her MLM business. I received 2 additional texts regarding MLM meetings. I had a vision of Jesus tearing that church up with a bullwhip. I am so discouraged and sad that the church has come to this. I cannot be a part of this fellowship. 😭
Listening to you share about focusing on Christ, I was reminded of the old hymn (and I'm tearing up a bit as I type this): "O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness, you see? There's light for a look at the Savior and life more abundant and free... TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS, LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDERFUL FACE AND THE THINGS OF EARTH WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM, IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE."
Thank you for doing this. I think you're representing a Godly dad that a lot of us (including me) didn't have. My dad pretended to be Godly for a long time and then suddenly switched to showing his true colors all at once and it was traumatic for my whole family. Its a shame because he had that "fearful dad" energy that could have been godly, he made us act right but it wasnt about having Godly kids it was about getting praise from other adults about how well behaved his kids were. Its oddly comforting to listen to someone with that masculine authority who wouldnt cut you down but would also tell you how it is with no sugar coating. I know lots of other people have had worse fathers than mine too. All us children of failed fathers need this.
Greens translation, brother. I've been raised with it & vouch for it 100%, Sir. Seek a copy out if nothing more than to have it in your library. God bless you and yours. Wm. Aaron Baker.
I don't consider myself a Christian by any means because of my life's experiences. My father is Catholic & has brought me to church several times in the past when I was barely able to recall the details. There were times in my youth where I tried to get back into it & was never able to. I also see how my life turned out & just never got called to that sort of thing. I've watched one of Dewayne's videos on forgiveness & applied that principle to God/universe & said that I forgave them for how I was treated in life. & like Dewayne said in that video, "You can forgive but you do not have to accept them back." I forgave, still do not trust God/universe. If I were to look back at them, it's not fear, but rather, "You hate me. I will never make you happy, & you are only out to hurt me." So I just move along my life trying to do the best I can with what I have, fighting & hoping for a better life, while believing that I'm alone on this. I came to this video because I've heard the phrase before & wanted to get some understanding. I heard some parallels to my perspective & life here, so maybe it's a weird way to bring me closer, but it will take a lot of time for any love/trust to come back.
Interesting. Thank you so much for being honest and transparent in your thinking. I value this much more than hollow religious platitudes. When you ask someone what and why they believe something so important and all impactful as an almighty GOD and they just give you back some hollow " Christianeze" malarky...I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. But brave faith can be scary. True believers go into places they do not want to, confident in GOD that he is true and faithful and will see them through. I am encouraged by your strength of introspection and honesty, thank you.
@@saltpeter7429 Thank you for the reply, & thanks for not invalidating me for not going the same route. I have to walk my path & I have to see myself through it. That's how it has to be done.
@@Yrrej8611 right on. That path will lead you to where you need to be. Thanks for communicating with me. I am so darn lonely and detached from the world of the living I spend too much time on UA-cam, lol.
This is so true. As soon as you said “because they do not fear you,”. That was it you had me. I had that fear for my Dad but he’s still my best friend today .
Hello Dwayne, I'd like to say I have extreme respect for how adamant you are about only talking about Jesus, such spearheaded faith is needed in this day and age

Fear is never the move this doesn't make sense. God wouldn't want us to be in a state of fear
Please consider re-reading. A reverential fear of the Lord is very much Biblical...
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Proverbs 9:10
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28
Just to cite one example from both Old & New Testament, though there are several more.

Excellent message and just what I needed for today. A healthy fear and respect for God is what’s missing in the modern apostate church and in my own life. Thank you Dewayne.

Jesus Christ is The Lord. Bless you all
For many years I was a Christian, but found myself beyond victory over my sins that I kept on going back to.
Hebrews 10:31
For it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Amen.
After listening to this talk, the verse that kept running through my mind all week was 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love."
This is one of those situations where understanding the context and meanings of words is so important as we study the Bible.
In it he says:
"We must distinguish between the fear of God and being afraid of him; the fear of God imports high regard and veneration for God. The love of God in Christ, in the hearts of Christians from the Spirit of adoption, is the great proof of conversion."
Often terms like "the fear of God" or "the wrath of God" come with our own modern interpretations of the meanings that are based on our own personal and current contexts (usually negative).
Having trouble telling you how much I enjoy these sessions and how glad I am you started this channel--Thx!!

Hey DeWayne,
I've had many people argue that to fear God just means to being in awe of him.
I tell them they can have awe by seeing Mount Rushmore. But Jesus spoke about fearing God in context of don't forget who can drop you into hell. That's the one you should fear.
Fantastica answer, praise God!
How are you doing a month later brother?
To those who are deceived into thinking that to fear the LORD is simply to reverence and/or respect God:
The LORD is again and again described as terrible, in Deuteronomy and in Hebrews God is called a consuming fire, when Jesus Christ returns the blood of His enemies will be as high as a horses bridal, and the mightiest men on earth will hide in fear, and beg the mountains to fall on them, so that they don't have to face God, Philippians 2:12 says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, and there are countless more examples throughout the scriptures that should cause anyone who reads it to have a fear of the LORD that is unrivaled!
I’ve studied Marcus Arelious teaching myself how to be a father a man a better person wisdom of the ages I can’t read but there’s plenty of videos right here on the Skagit I’m self-taught forced to be God’s will is his own
You are spot on with that Dewayne about how to handle the attraction of Gods beauty in a woman!!
Another good man to listen to is Fr. Josiah Trenham, even if you are not Orthodox he has great messages for men.
Thank you!
Great talk tonight Dewayne! Thank You sir! ☝️✝️🇺🇸💪
( I would strongly recommend listening to this message more than once. )
Glory to God.
Hey I used to be a stoner for years and recently fell back into the habit and weed is the number one reason you struggle with the flesh, especially sexual immorality and I realized that because I also kept falling back into this struggle with my sin
As long as you realize that you don't lose your salvation everytime you sin, but also that you are sowing death into your life.
Again thank you for speaking about our Heavenly Father, and it's great to hear about old school upbringing!!❤
Great Message! Thank you for sharing! God Bless you and your Family!❤️🐑✝️
I think your 100 percent right, no fear, most people only look at one character of GOD that’s love, so most people think they can act anyway they want, no fear. Also people put their trust in others and not what God said about things. Dewayne probably won’t see this, but I have really enjoy your teaching on this new platform.
This was the best teaching on the fear of God that I've ever seen❗ Thanks, I wish I knew you brother. God bless you🙏
I love this! ❤
Please pray for my mental and spiritual situation to come back fully to God
done.
Fear of repercussions has saved my life numerous times. I have even been extremely high on psychedelic drugs and was concerned about the repercussions enough to do the right thing.
As a Christian? They can be terrifying
Thank you for posting this. I haven't been fearing God anywhere near enough and this has really helped me to see that
Thanks for this wisdom today sir it's like how the TV was made for example if you watch the TV and the things you view on the TV their programming you to do wrong instead of right in today's life their making it seem like good is bad and bad is good and this is in the bible we are in the book of revelations for these things will come to pass. But remember this verse Proverbs 11:8
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

And years of life will be added to you.

And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.” 🙏

Amen🙏 Thank you for sharing your message 👍
2 Thessalonians 3:16 ~ "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all."
Isaiah 26:3 ~ You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Matthew 5:9 ~ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
John 14:27 ~ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Now that we've got the critics set aside, let's get into it, Thankyou Dwyane
So much love from a young Italian guy for this channel. I come here after watching some of your videos on Dry Creek Wrangler School and this channel just like the other one is a breath of fresh air in a world that is increasingly dirty and corrupt. Dwayne without knowing it you are helping me get through a difficult period in my life and you are making me rediscover faith after years of doubts and unhealthy atheist friendships.

I love your videos they've helped me so much and turned my life around to have true Faith. Keep going brother, you're good at this. God bless ❤
Fearing the lord is the beginning of wisdom 😮
Excellent teaching brother! I am reaching out and learning to FEAR GOD!
Let every man work out his salvation in fear and trembling. Fearing God and living in faithful obedience is the best decision you will ever make.
this was a really special video, listened to this while getting ready for bed. good message before i say my prayers and shut my eyes. thank you
I found your main channel and enjoyed the heart to heart talks. Can’t lie and say I care too much about horses.
But this is by far the best channel UA-cam has to offer me.
Thank you for doing it.
Praise be to God
May the LORD JESUS CHRIST bless you and keep you brother.
I agree, if we don't pay attention to it, it will not get inside our head.
Thanks I'll be listening,
Regards Don.
Thank you again for a great lesson. You help me so much.
amazing so blessed I found this channel !! "the more you fear God the sin will take care of itself" love it and praise Jesus !!
Thank you for posting this, I needed to hear it. I pray that God grants us all the wisdom to fear God and not man ❤
I find it hard to fear God, not because I think he is weak or not worth fearing, but I know how much he genuinely and truly loves us.
Fear Him

What is the most important Commandment from the Lord?
@@TyeAprilMitchell Ezekiel 33:11
@@connorohare229 I am not here to debate anyone, I would say to you to read Jesus' sayings, Jesus answered that very question.
Youre right about lack of wisdom in different places of life
Uncle Dwayne, you uploaded this video just in time! As I was at a point in my life where I constantly struggle with lust, I was looking for the wisdom of a grown man and you gave it to me through God Almighty. I'll take your advice sir. My best regards to you and thank you so much!🙏
Looking forward to the video about the book of Job. My favorite book in the Bible. Thank you for your wholesome content. Very much needed nowadays.
Yes LORD Truth Truth; People don't fear God. You are so right. Glory to Yah Jesus Christ ❤. Truth Love , We Thank you.
I appreciate the Bible study sir 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Amen brother Dwane, appreciate these messages. Greetings from Cork Ireland.
I joined a church I had longed to join for several years. After working 4 years as a Covid travel RN, I was able to join.
The first thing I received on my phone from the church was a link to join a
MLM business.
awww, sorry you have discouragement. Sometimes the right church takes some work to find. May God direct your path to it.
Listening to you share about focusing on Christ, I was reminded of the old hymn (and I'm tearing up a bit as I type this):
"O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness, you see?
There's light for a look at the Savior and life more abundant and free...
TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS, LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDERFUL FACE
AND THE THINGS OF EARTH WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM, IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE."
ThankYou for the wise words, very well said!!
Morning DeWayne, I sat down last night and had myself a Liga Privada and listen to the word you gave, thank you I really enjoyed it.
