a.k.a. The cameramen skill test serve
nah its the how goods your first touch
@@lewisyuu its a joke bruh
It is useful in an amatuer beach volleyball game especially when the sun is up and directing towards the opponent .Glare can last up to 15mins reducing the accuracy of opponents.
Theres this thing called “sun glasses”
Ema Eclair talking abt beach volleyball bud
Sigh. Wearing sunglasses during a competitive game is actually stupid. Why are any of you defending that? Lmao. You’re thinking of a casual game. Why would people use advanced glare tactics in a casual game?
There's another thing called wind condition.
@@GhostscoperHD but in the video there were people using sunglasses in competitive games...
Imagine the amount of broken stuff and lost volleyballs it took to master this serve
trashhdez and the roof-climbing hunts
That’s why I don’t practice serves like these lmao
its pretty easy to learn ngl
not many it's the easiest serve
@@jayhyn beside underhand

Italians: I’m about to end this cameramen whole career
haha ikr
It's a good serve in beach volleyball, when the sun is on front of your opponents

"The roof is on my side this time." -the guy that did the sky ball serve in the latest episode
The guy from Haikyū?
@@nicolecurtis1782 yeah
Ma boi Himekawa
The inventor of this style of serving was Bernard from Brazil in the early 80's and it was nicknamed "Viajem nas estrellas"
*Jornada nas estrelas. Star Trek serve.
Jornada nas Estrelas. The brazilian name for the Star Trek series.
ps: Jornada nas Estrelas would perhaps literally translate back into English as Stars Journey
The viajem serve was also created by Brazilians, (jumping serve)
O saque viajem também foi criado por brasileiros, é o saque com pulo.
He didn't invent that serve
@@matthieusaade3616 so who did it?
It's a good skill. But try it only when your score is 24-12 😂
Ajay Singh Chauhan Vanta Black the purpose of this serve is to blind others: the ball is up in the sky and if you watch it you'll get hit by the sun's light or the lights in the roof
34Savocs no dude. They do this type of serve to make weaker reception of opponent. It becomes harder to make correct judgement of the speed of ball and its height.
That's another reason which sums to mine honestly. Read other comments, there are other users which mention the sun
Or 12-24
but not if it's 12 for polish team - then be always ready, they are kings of winning almost lost matches
when haikyuu finally added a sky ball it was the best thing to ever happen i got so many goosebumps
came here from haikyu's latest episode
You're no the only one ;D
waiting for after timeskip arc in anime
ceiling serve!!
Yeah
same
Guys, guys look. I love Haikyuu!! As much as the next person, but can we chill with the Haikyuu comments on every volleyball video? 😅
the recent episode just makes that harder LMAO
Italians are digging it for real😂🇮🇹
Before "Bernard from Brazil invented this serve in the 80's", it was well-known in the Soviet Union (and I bet elsewhere too) as "pionerskaya" serve for at least a decade, mainly used by amateurs to show off. I have an ancient video of my dad doing it in early 70's (1972?) and he'd learnt it from someone ages before that. This serve actually doesn't require that much practice to master and is fairly easy to receive once you've tried it a few times. Hence why you won't see it that often in serious competition.
Who else got this recomended after watching haikyuu's last episode
i actually looked for this myself AHAHHAHA
Bruh I just started watching the anime and I gotta say I'm loving it 😁😁😁

Lol this is like an anime special move hahahha Skyball serve! this has got to be included in Haikyuu..
Ako si Mart apparently it's in the manga
Blox CrafterFTW no way what chapter?

You’ll see it in season 4 part 2 (karasuno’s first match in nationals)

Serve invented by a brazilian player, Bernard Rajzman, in the 80s, we called it here in Brazil "Star Trek"
No it wasn't.
@@matthieusaade3616 Google it, Jackass.
@@matthieusaade3616 Brazil also invented jumping serve, my friend.
UA-cam algorithm knows I watches haikyuu and what happened in latest episode.
Same dude.. I just thought that I will search this serve later.. & boom it's in my recommendation 😓😓
1:46 the shadow of the skyball is the most confusing and makes it difficult to receive
no one looks at the shadow when receiving a serve
This was excellent work . Iike now sky ball also
0:33 is so good-
This serve is from ancient volleyball days when players were forbidden to play in defense with two hands in low position (only in high position like setter). And matches were held in open courts mostly so the sun and wind were noticeable factors.
I love volleyball channel
Damn saw this in haikyu. Can't believed its real. Will try to do this in one of my real games after quarantine.
It's real since the early 80s

Carambula👍
1:02 Eu estava nessa partida ❤
How do they that??😮😮 wow
Anita Asase by hitting the ball
They either spin the ball as they throw and hit it up nearly towards ur opponent’s side, hit it below but at the side of the ball so it spins as it goes up and down (which is how jump serves curve sometimes,) or hit it just as it lands to ur wrist/hand nearly to their side and hope that the lighting gets them...
A good libero like nishinoya from Haikyuu will say chance ball on such a serve.
HAHAHAAHAAHAH
Try to read manga and there u Will have that serve and... U Will See :(
@@ihatemylife3525 i know that there was a cielling serve but who did it
Em i guess it was at beginning of match vs these twin Brothers or one before

Nice video..
This was really suggested to me after watching the new episode 😳
Dudes, i was doing this in outdoor tournaments back in the ‘80’s

I like that serves because sometimes it's not easy to get a ball properly.. We used to do this type of serves when we used to play
The lights up there were so bright, the advantage.
wowwwwww wonderfull
i know how to do that lol but that was Bernard invention in 80s... he used to do that in Brazil's team. It was so funny to see that live... I saw that once! The crowd gone crazy with this moments! Also, a russian did that crazy serve but kind of different, with lot of effect. But I saw just once in my life... in 80s too. I think it was in an open stadium called Maracanã, in a special game Brazil vs Russia. * in Brazil we call it "Star treck journey" serve! lol
It was not invented by Bernard
came here because of Himekawa, lmao.

De locos :p
Carambula is the only one in this video with a difficult skyball. Those indoor ones are funny to see.
Cuz some are for fun and for a practice session.

Good serve
me after reading chapter 240 of Haikyuu 😂
I Used to just do this for fun and it would either make the game easier or more interesting lol
I love volleyball but i see volleyball matches in power volleyball
This first serve was invented by a Brazilian player whose nome is Bernard and was usei officially in a tournement in Brazil in the end of the eighths.
No it wasn't
@@matthieusaade3616 Yes, it was.
@@molequedaora it wasnt, it was invented in the SU in the 70s
@@atelierdetokyo8011 Bernard invented the Star Trek serve, but the first serve in volleyball history I don't know if it was a Brazilian.
I did this serve in early 90s
I tried this so many times but only in trainings, this actually works (not ace but atleast bad reception)

Hey that my finishing serve they thought I’m just kidding I hit it in the side of it to spin the ball so hard to hit
Ivan zaytzev, Interesting to see a very fierce looking guy that gives you a dead stare with his cold looking eyes, having fun.
Bangke ngeri 😀
lmao these r sooo hard to pass
Useful in sand tournaments when the sun is overhead
played beach volleyball once with a guy who used to do this and it hurt my eyes sooooo bad
Wow
Do you forget of Sky Ball Server by Bernard Rajzman.
I did that during a tournoment.. It hit the ceiling and they got the point... Lol
UA-cam Suggested this after the last haikyuu ep hmmmmm
"Jornada nas Estrelas" created by Bernard Rajzman
Bernard didn't invent this serve .
Those must be scary to receive honestly-
Crazy serve...hihihi
I did this serves when I played volleyball lol given I never did them this high but it was mostly in middle school when I was scared it wouldn’t go over the net so I overdid it every time knowing it would be inside the court anyway lol
The serve is called "Jornada nas Estrelas", that is the Brazilian translation to Star Trek.
I know this serve earlier only and also used this in matches
Chance ball!!!
YEET
This is really crazy but this make opponent more easy to catch the ball
U aren’t suppose to catch it anyway :D
Sometimes i do they for competition
Viral di indonesia 😁
I remember seeing this on the movie Side Out when I was a kid. Then my friends and I would go to the local sand volleyball court, and piss off the other people we were playing by serving like this.
I usually do Underhand serve but I was now afraid that I might serve it too far or too high that might hit the outside of the court XD
i accidentally did this back in highschool.
if added with a powerful spin and aimed to the edge area, it would almost give you point.
Your gym was high enough for that to work? Sounds like bs amigo.
Ah parabole service ,a service mythic
Tsubakihara's specialty
Sky Serve = Powerful underhand serve
Is this as effective as shown in the 11th episode of haikyuu?
