    I flew to NJ for Ga a few years ago to help a friend and he had purchased a saw similar this one, I think his was a little better, but it wasn't very good at all. I really think the Ridged 7 inch $300.00 saw (it maybe a little more now,) is a great bang for the buck if you need something inexpensive to get you going.

    ? What is your to favorite wet saws. I'm a tile installer and have the 2400 dewalt. But now lot of my customers buying larger tiles. Trying decide what other saw I can get for larger tiles. I been Goin back and fourth on the 3600 dewalt and even been thinking about the tabletop IQ dry saw since not as expensive as the dewalt. I also liked you kobalt 24 volt tabletop cause it's cheap and can cut larger tiles as well. What you think buddy. What other saw would you get if you were in my shoes.

      Dewalt 36000 you can’t go wrong, iq dry cut is good but because it cuts dry the blades dont last as long and each blade for iq costs around 100$

      What they said. Big manual tile cutter with a table top small saw is all you really need. The D36000 is the top dog for big tiles.

      Ridgid now has a "drop gate" on the back of the sliding tables on most of their tile saws. So the fence is still in place for alignment but the hard stop at the back of the table can be lowered and the material longer, going past the back of the table. Not sure how long is feasible, but 36" should be no problem. I just used their R4041 8" saw for a large format project (31.5" porcelain planks). Worked great.

    New T-shirt idea
    “The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
    Keep up the great work

    I think I’ll endure the pains of using my table top IQ

      Hey I been thinking about getting the IQ tabletop dry saw. Is it worth it and how are the cuts on cutting large hard Porcelain Tile. Do the corners break at end of cuts or is it good saw worth buying

      @@jbitile8241 I watched many influencers and asked their opinions before I purchased. I love my saw. It is a precision piece of equipment. On the 244 you have a green amber and red light that give you feedback on the state of the blade. I find that if a cut is signaling yellow I dress the blade and I never really have any problems. If I am ripping and I get some yellows I look at my cut and stop and dress blade if it’s chipping. On my wet saw if it’s chipping what can you do but try multiple passes and hope.
      I always slow down a bit at the end cuts. I never have non usable end breaks. You get a feel for it as you go along. It’s a little harder to lift tiles because of vacuum apparatus when notching but I have gone to the Montolit grinder blades to clean those out and use the tile triangle to mark my endpoints when I flip the tile over so I get foolproof clean inside corners on notches.
      Honestly I save so much time with my IQ and being in a cold state I never have my saw freeze I don’t use my wet saw anymore. I have spent the time learning to master cuts dry. One has to put the time into learning to cut uniquely with a wet saw too. I just love having the saw close not having to cleanup and chase water and dry tiles. I debated buying the table top IQ vs the battery Kobalt and decided to commit to cutting dry and I really have little to no regrets.
      I didn’t find it to be as loud as people say either even when it’s in the bathroom with you. I wear ear protection but it’s no louder than a skill saw IMHO.
      Good luck with it if you try it. If you buy it preassembled like I did go back over all the assembly the guy who put mine together didn’t tighten the blade so I had to buy new vents right off the bat
      Other than that I have a wet saw for sale😃

    It is what it is. Perfect for a couple tiles, and not lugging around a full sized saw.

      It's the Easy Bake Tile Saw for kids. Just because it can cut some soft materials for a quick demo doesn't mean it's actually useful for real work. A client once ask me to use a similar saw he had onsite for bathroom floor tile. Incredibly slow and frustrating, exactly like trying to use a toy, gave up after half an hour of annoyance. Went and got a real saw.

    I wish people would get off this cuckery trend of subway tiles. Its a horrible look and just insists upon itself.

      The variety of sizes and textures of subway tiles are insane

    • @BonBon770
      @BonBon770 Рік тому

      That's because it's good for resale value, and when wealthy people buy homes they expect to sell them just as easy and that's exactly what subway tile does

    • @AutismusPrime69
      @AutismusPrime69 Рік тому

      @BonBon770 no. Actually it doesnt. Subway tile is a trend "stay at home" housewives jumped on. It doesn't help resale value of home either.

      @@AutismusPrime69 a lot of high-end beach homes in Florida have it. And a lot of people do it still to this day it's been popular since the 70s and 80s in this area, it's easy for resale because lots of people like it, it's neutral. I guess it's opinion but one opinion takes over a whole area it must mean something right
