All cutters have a spinning disc, if you put a decent disc on it it's gonna cut the same on the cheapest as on the most expensive only difference is the person's technique & the outside fence or size of the platform. You can try with the tile face down for neater cuts aswell.
Thanks for this video. I bought this to use for a backsplash install in two properties and it worked well. The instructions it comes with are crap and your quick breakdown for set-up was very helpful. I will say that you need to take your time with cuts, I installed 3x6 beveled subway tiles and practiced with a couple of them before make the real cuts to be installed. Bought a separated diamond blade for the cuts. Also, make sure that you wipe down the cutting surface around the blade, do not let the debris collect. I also used the saw to cut the metal trim for the tile, worked well for this. Nifty table saw for the price, not too loud, but I recommend still wearing ear protection. I actually used it right in the bathroom, minimal spray from the water when cutting. Just put a big rug underneath the area , not a huge mess.
My experience with cheap tile saws is that the fence doesn’t hold adjustment very well, it’s hard to get a square cut every time. But, for $65 it’s hard to complain. Enjoy all your reviews, great job.
I have this saw, it’s fantastic! Well worth the price! Used it to do a new ceramic floor and subway tile in my kitchen, no problems. Don’t use the ruler on the saw, it’s not really square or accurate, just mark your tile and use that to set the guide. It’s not loud and it’s doesn’t vibrate, it’s perfect for small jobs or just working around home. Obviously not a pro tool, but for the average DIY guy, it’s gold.
I love this little saw. Got done with so many job. Must use permenant marker to be able to cut a straight line. Light weight, compact, easy to carry . Thieft do not want to steal !
It’s a nice little machine. I’ve done shower stalls, kitchen back splash, bathroom floor, island countertop and picnic table. It’s paid for itself many times over.
I was alittle concerned about how close your fingers were to blade! LOL also a better blade would have made those cuts cleaner. Pretty darn good video. I will sub
It's a grinding wheel not a blade, it works by grinding/sanding not cutting, will just give you a skin burn. Don't work with blades not worth the risk.
I end up using this saw more than the $1000 ones I have . It's just so small and easy to fill .I've even cut crazy angles on a 24x24 with it. All these table saws are basically the same, you don't need the fence on any of them just mark a line and follow it.
How much of the quality of the cut can be attributed to the quality of the blade itself? Could it be that a better blade would've made for cleaner cuts? I really enjoy these videos, and have learned a lot, as someone with no background in tiling, before attempting a job in my house.
I actually bought this for $30 at menards. It’s like Home Depot and Lowe’s but primarily located in the Midwest. I used it for a 3”x6” ceramic subway tile shower I was doing. After I finished that project I literally threw this in the trash and went out to buy the ridged 7” table top saw. Lol
Nice! I got this for $32, but a week later the price jumped up to $65, but it's definitely a throw away saw like you said. The Ridgid is much better! 👊
Not sure when you posted this video but it’s 2021 and for the money Harbor Freight has a pretty decent wet saw currently I’ve done tile professionally years ago and I’m a fan of Target Saws who are owned by Diamond K btw
Price is good and planning to buy this one only if my DEWALT DW4765 4-1/2-Inch tile blade fits in it. This is a 4-inch tile saw, but can I put a 4 1/2 inch blade?
What you’re proving is that a shabby worker can make an expensive tile saw look like junk and a meticulous worker can make an inexpensive saw look like gold.
Since the blade is on the bottom I would cut the tile upside down to avoid the chipping and blowouts, but I could see using this for 4x4 ceramic tile in an upstairs project where I don’t want to haul my dewalt
I won't be the math geek but 3/5 is not more than 3/4. I have a teeny QEP like this, older model. It works good for dropping a tile over the blade for a plunge cut. It's all in the blade anyway.
Totally thought that was gonna bind up on the river rock! Cant wait till you test out the dust less saw. Just pocket change right? Ha ha! Swell as hell video as always sir!
The motor definitely struggled on the rock, but still cut. The IQ waterless tile saw demo is in the works! 👊 and love that line swell as hell! I'm gonna use that one! 👊👊👊
I think you need a better diamond blade and you will get better performance...I have one of these and watched your video before plugging it in...I’m waiting for my Diamond blade to come in...which is not the quality of the blade that comes with the product....this blade cost me half the amount of the whole XT!
WOW, that’s sad. You must have a BAD Temper! I wish I had it, I would pay you for it, lol. I’m going out to buy one. I just want one for sawing rocks before putting them into the tumbler. Cheers
You must not have a critical nature. I reviewed this same product and found a whole lot more wrong with it than you did. Still, I recommend it for small ceramic tiles where no beveling is needed.
Please Please do not feed tiles through a cutter like this. At one point i closed my eyes, if the tile cracked with your hand in direct line like this a trip to emergency is needed.

I totally agree and this fence is the same, but you're right about not complaining for a $65 saw 👊

Thanks for the no nonsense review. My wife wants a backsplash put up so I will only need to cut smaller tiles. This "seems" like it might work OK.
It’s a nice little machine. I’ve done shower stalls, kitchen back splash, bathroom floor, island countertop and picnic table.
It’s paid for itself many times over.
I from dallas tx I just started installing tile .thank you for u videos the help me so much God bless u
I’ve had my tile saw for a few months. I appreciate your video.
I was alittle concerned about how close your fingers were to blade! LOL also a better blade would have made those cuts cleaner. Pretty darn good video. I will sub
With those continuous blades you can touch them while running with little risk of harm but still don't do it on purpose lol
ya the blades womt cut you ive stubbed my fingers numerous times the worst it does is put a deep indent on your skin
It's a grinding wheel not a blade, it works by grinding/sanding not cutting, will just give you a skin burn. Don't work with blades not worth the risk.
yeah, bad habbit for the user of the saw. Doesn't matter if the blade doesn't cut you.
3/5 is actually less than 3/4
Best review/demo i've seen. Even did a bevel cut !
I end up using this saw more than the $1000 ones I have . It's just so small and easy to fill .I've even cut crazy angles on a 24x24 with it. All these table saws are basically the same, you don't need the fence on any of them just mark a line and follow it.
Yup, you are correct. Mark a line and they all usually work the same! 👊👊👊
Push that tile SLOW. Always order 15% more tile than needed my friend... 👊
What if you need to have several pieces with identical widths? I think I’d rather spend a little more and get one with a more solid fence.
How much of the quality of the cut can be attributed to the quality of the blade itself? Could it be that a better blade would've made for cleaner cuts?
I really enjoy these videos, and have learned a lot, as someone with no background in tiling, before attempting a job in my house.
Please can you make another test with this machine by using a good quality disc?
I just bought this and install DeWalt disc on it and honestly the cuts are super super clean
I used a better quality blade and took time with cuts, very clean.
i just bought one of these! may i ask, how do you know how much water to pour in? that's the only thing i'm confused about?
I actually bought this for $30 at menards. It’s like Home Depot and Lowe’s but primarily located in the Midwest. I used it for a 3”x6” ceramic subway tile shower I was doing. After I finished that project I literally threw this in the trash and went out to buy the ridged 7” table top saw. Lol

To bad. I bought it. Saw the cut sucked so i bought a good Dewalt blade..cuts beautiful now, just needed a better blade
Also did you use the stock blade? I bet you could get cleaner cuts with a better blade.
Yes sir, a better blade would do much better on cuts!
Thinking about this one Berg.
Do you think it would do better with a better blade?
Checked your review after purchasing. Glad you gave it a positive review. I needed something cheap. Hand snips wasn't working for me.
Is it just me or is he lucky to have all his fingers !!
Just watching his fingers mere millimetres away from that blade also had my nerves screaming.
Diamond blade reportedly won't do much damage to fingers. But I am not testing that theory.
Not sure when you posted this video but it’s 2021 and for the money Harbor Freight has a pretty decent wet saw currently I’ve done tile professionally years ago and I’m a fan of Target Saws who are owned by Diamond K btw
Just found out about that new 7" tabletop saw. I'll have a review on it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you! 😊👍

Thanks for your video. Can this tile saw cut Natural Slate Wall Tile or Quartz Ledger Stone Veneer Siding Panel ???
Nice video. You should had showed the cuts closer and also stated the cost.
What you’re proving is that a shabby worker can make an expensive tile saw look like junk and a meticulous worker can make an inexpensive saw look like gold.

Yup, the only way I can see using this is for small ceramic and in the bathroom or upstairs like you said. 👊
Will this saw work with a 36 inch tile cut?
I won't be the math geek but 3/5 is not more than 3/4. I have a teeny QEP like this, older model. It works good for dropping a tile over the blade for a plunge cut. It's all in the blade anyway.
Can it cut glass? Like mirror?
I think there are other tools for mirror cutting, but maybe!
@@LandbergTileTV i think I found something that might work better! Thank you!!!!!
very helpful. thanks
feel like this one takes monumentally longer than a slide table, just the setups between cuts
Yes it does
It works. Is it a bit slow?
Super slow!
You should try it with a P4 diamond blade it would probably do alot better
yes, we love our p4 blades
@@LandbergTileTV Would a P4 blade improve porcelain cuts ??
@@lyndonp6296 absolutely yes!
Perfect for the price.
This thing gets you fucking soaked from water spitting at you. Lol
That diamond pad made a big difference on that miter cut. Lol. Where did you get that particular one my friend? Aloha 🤙🏽
Yes! The diamond pads work so much better than a rubbing stone! Have you tried them?
I was wondering where you got that particular one my friend! I’m gonna try and use that one looks clean after a few rubs on the genie🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽😂😂😂
3/5hp a little over 3/4hp?
hey does anyone recommend a tile saw under $150. that will do the job?
Ooooooh... Now i knw what's the use of that yellow plastic..
"A little over three quarters of a HP" Uh 3/5 is lower than 3/4.
lol I know, I slipped up on the video.
Will this cut Cement tiles?
Yes it will!
Upgrade the blade & you'll be even happier
Thanks for the tip! 👊
It’s cheaper on Home Depot
I wonder will it cut wood too and how thick😂😉
I think you need a better diamond blade and you will get better performance...I have one of these and watched your video before plugging it in...I’m waiting for my Diamond blade to come in...which is not the quality of the blade that comes with the product....this blade cost me half the amount of the whole XT!
Yes, you are correct. Better blade equipped will definitely improve this tile saw.
There are different blades for different tasks. This is a review of a stock blade's ability to do things it wasn't designed to do.
Good point sir
Nice...
You need a new extension cord 😁
Yes sir I do!
lol I hate that saw boughtt it once cause I forgot mine ended up throwing it into the middle of the road lol
WOW, that’s sad. You must have a BAD Temper! I wish I had it, I would pay you for it, lol. I’m going out to buy one. I just want one for sawing rocks before putting them into the tumbler. Cheers
So..... How much was it? The suspense is killing me
lol, I picked this up on amazon for $32 bucks...now it's up to $65 in just a few days. Still the cheapest that can miter! 👊
@@LandbergTileTV ☺

If you turned tile upside down it would be cleaner cut.
Thanks for the tip!
Can't see the cutter or what is being done due to stupid large black typing
Please Please do not feed tiles through a cutter like this. At one point i closed my eyes, if the tile cracked with your hand in direct line like this a trip to emergency is needed.
No water?😡
😨
👊
What was the point of that? The purpose is for you to show us how to assemble it.
