Oh how I love this album. No one has had music like we did. Brings back memories hanging breathlessly over each note. Eventually I played it to death. It was like loosing an old dear friend.❤❤❤❤❤❤
So damned underrated as a composer! 'Feel So Good' really pulled Chuck out the spotlight he truly deserved to be in. When I think of Chuck, it's this and 'Friends in Love' that personally comes to mind.
One of the most beautiful live concert recordings of the era. The original vinyl mix and mastering holds up well even now. I come from that Eastman School tradition, though not directly. My formative teacher graduated with Chuck Mangione. This '70s beebop permeates my compositions.
Thanks for posting this concert! I have searched high and low for the music as I wore my 8-track and cassette out a long time ago. Now I can make my MP3's for posterity. You did and awesome job with this. Can't figure out why they never released this on CD or DVD...
Wow I watched this concert live on PBS in 1970. Thank you for posting this performance, the album should be available on Spotify (but it is not) it is a great album, soundtrack, and masterpiece of Chuck’s music.
I first discovered Chuck around 1975 when his "Bellavia" album came out. Got lotsa' play on KBCA 105.1 here in L.A. When "Feels So Good" was released in '78, I was already a Mangione disciple.

My friend and I used to play a game called The Cedric Game. You got points for owning any album with someone named Cedric playing on it. I have just decided that if you have a guy named Ned playing the flute, you get bonus points.
Será una grabación del concierto, pero el Long Play editado en España como Friends&Love empieza en el minuto 33’:30”. Con Don Potter y Bat McGrath. Delicioso el corte en el minuto 48’:55” Joropo Piropo. Una maravilla. 🇪🇸💚🇪🇸

I saw Chuck Mangione and the whole cast play with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at Geneseo State University shortly after this album came out.

WOW This is the best version of Hill Where the Lord Hides I've ever heard.
It's a damn shame this iconic album is not on CD. No, it's a CRIME.
There must be a vinyl at least right?
Yes. The original Mercury LP is 54 years old now, but my radio station doesn’t have it or use vinyl, or I’d transfer it
Yeah it's beyond belief someone doesn't make a CD
Tenho o cd feels so good ❤

I believe it's not even been officially released on digital Media, not even cd.

You lucky rascal you.

Bless you Mr Mick Guzauski
Thanks for mentioning Mick and the amazing job he did recording this concert!
@uncleheavy01 they are both legends. Thank you for uploading this album and have a good day
Look at the photo of Tony Levin back then! (lower right @33:20) Damn, he's unrecognizable. Looks like Leland Sklar.
Tony, Gap, Steve, what a rhythm section!
What a fantastic performance.

Tengo este Long Play, comprado en 1970 ó 1971, no lo recuerdo. Tenía 18 ó 19 años. Maravillosa época, maravillosa música. Saludos desde España. 🇪🇸💚🇪🇸
