Just simply amazing video and photos.. it’s not the car it’s the driver .. it’s not the camera .. it’s the photographer .. that being said.. what you have accomplished with the combo of SL2 and Summicron is just simply amazing .. Kudos and well done 👍
Hi all experts, please help me to find out which best adapter to fit L mount camera body? Since I have two Summicron lenses which is 50mm and 85mm F2 made by Germany on Leica M4-P has passed to me from my dad and set there for 15 years then now I plan to get one digital camera with L mount adapter with full frame. If some one already tried this process PLEASE help me out especially which best adapter will fit for its. My appreciation to to everyone; Best regards, Kenny
The most expensive M to L adapter is by Leica itself, which comes with electronic coupling that reads the lens code on more modern M mount lenses. The second most expensive is made by Novoflex, all Novoflex adapters are extremely well machined with very fine tolerances. It has no electronic coupling, but everything else with Novoflex is top notch. The less expensive ones are made by Urth and some Chinese companies. I have the Urth version and while the machining is fine, it has a tiny bit of play in the lens mount. This doesn't affect focus, but might affect your enjoyment/sense of security/quality in the adapter experience. I would go with Novoflex as your old lenses won't have the lens coding. I would also get an original SL or SL2S for your L mount body because the Leica mirrorless camera were designed with M mount lenses in mind. Other mirrorless bodies will smear the corners to a greater or lesser degree, with Sony being the worst, and Panasonic and Nikon being the least bad. Hope this helps!
Great to see a Leica being so well worn and used….really inspiring

Why have I only seen this now? Love this!
Great video. Great to hear about Pat's work and workflow. Boy does that camera look well-loved!
Great to see someone using their SL2s with M lenses. This video looks great. Love seeing a new Leica camera so well used.

Agree. I bought some SL lens but have reverted back to my manual focus prime m mounts. Great combo.
