This is too Funky!!! Sho nuff Funky!!! The Drummer, The Percussionist, The organ, The Horns, Everyone...Playing Their Parts, Doing Their Sho Nuff Thing!!! Lord Have Mercy!!!! Lawd Have Mercy!!!! Don’t be so Wicked Mr. Pickett!!! Wicked Pickett and Edwin Star a Soulful combination!!!
Un grand monsieur Wilson Picket, célébré par Nino Ferrer notre dandy de la chanson française. J'adore les deux artistes dans des registres totalement différent.
I would disagree with that. Stones were a different kind of soul, along Muddy and Howlin' Wolf and Slim Harpo's lines. I'll never take away one thing about the Stones. They truly were and are the greatest rock 'n roll band to ever have existed along with America's NRBQ. Talk about a total package, the Q are it.
kinda a bummer to see the stones snuff him If they were there & able to go up Not being to stoned or?? who knows what.. this was 1973 by then the stones ruled the world.. some of their best stuff has just come out.
I'm not sure white Americans get soul... We Irish do.. having said that.. we're not white.. we're blue... Cold in Ireland... Soul warms our hearts.....
Pure 60's soul from " Wicked " Pickett and Edwin Starr, shame there's no Otis Redding, so sad these legends are no longer with us, RIP you guys.

Edwin Starr and Wilson Pickett, what a collaboration that would have been.
Truth Indeed
Music genius. His voice alone is music.
This sounds like every genre made in America expect for folk and hip hop its amazing it has jazz, R&B, funk, gospel, and rock & roll in one
Only saw Pickett once on stage. In DC. Maybe 1965 or 1966?
Not just a great soul singer. An awesome dancer, too. May he rest in peace.

One of Michael Jackson's influences was Wilson Picket. He should've been asked to play Woodstock. The crowd would of dug it! Love it when he screams!!

I'm frickin Irish. Have always loved Soul & Gospel. My church was so boring....my mother snored through all of the sermons.
