    Only saw Pickett once on stage. In DC. Maybe 1965 or 1966?
    Not just a great soul singer. An awesome dancer, too. May he rest in peace.

    One of Michael Jackson's influences was Wilson Picket. He should've been asked to play Woodstock. The crowd would of dug it! Love it when he screams!!

      I would disagree with that. Stones were a different kind of soul, along Muddy and Howlin' Wolf and Slim Harpo's lines. I'll never take away one thing about the Stones. They truly were and are the greatest rock 'n roll band to ever have existed along with America's NRBQ. Talk about a total package, the Q are it.

    kinda a bummer to see the stones snuff him If they were there & able to go up Not being to stoned or?? who knows what.. this was 1973 by then the stones ruled the world.. some of their best stuff has just come out.
