Great shave, Heiko🙂 Good review. I am like you in that I sometimes push through with 3 passes even though I may have irritated my face in a prior shave. I love that feeling😊 I just treat my face to Thayers Witch Hazel and Alum block multiple times a day in the hopes of healing/drying it up quicker. All in the name of Shaving!
Another great review Heiko. Thayers Alcohol-Free Unscented Witch Hazel Facial Toner after shaving. That may help. The Rex blades are outstanding and my new favorite. Have a wonderful week. 👍
Nice vid Heiko, Ditto on the thumb and index finger. Summer coming up, so Stirling menthol shaving soap might be in the mix. Agree with the pre-shave bar shape, but it does last. Rex Supply products are some of the best; with great shaving razors, which are very well made. Matt also does revamps and plating of razors/stands. The Rhodium is spectacular on any product. Cheers from here, John
I didn't read the glacial warning when I bought my shaving soap and I almost cried during the shave haha but its such a good soap. Great video my friend!
Hi Heiko. Price point for the Sentry is $239.00....super expensive when you can buy a Merkur 37c slant for less than $50.00 that works just as well. Rex Supply is for folks that have lots of money to burn.
I bet the Merkur is nice too. The Razors Emporium page says $189 currently. It is stainless and CNC machined. The Merkur is cast zinc. I think the price difference is justifiable but of course you are right. Nobody needs a $190 razor. There are a lot of great options that are much cheaper. The Timeless Aluminum Slant is great for $50.
I use my index and thumb to keep the blade bent into the top-cap ( in place over the alignment tabs), it is always set perfectly this way. The open palm Gillette method doesn't lend itself so well to modern slants
I like the scent of Awesome Sauce a bit more. It actually has a nice fresh scent that lasts quite a while. Electric sheep is pretty much menthol only and it fades pretty quickly.
Simply the best shaving channel!
Thank you. I appreciate that.
It really is
Love the look of the Rex razors! Thanks for the post!

Thanks for sharing.
top razor review !! Have a nice day
Thanks, you too!
That's good curiousity. "...bet I could shave with this..." (The pre-shave soap from Stirling.)
It would be silly but the Stirling pre-shave is very foamy when agitated.
@@Heiko-shaves It may be worth trying.
Nice review !
Thanks!

Heiko, how does the Stirling Electric Sheep compare to the PAA Awesome Sauce?
I like the scent of Awesome Sauce a bit more. It actually has a nice fresh scent that lasts quite a while. Electric sheep is pretty much menthol only and it fades pretty quickly.
How about the slant and Mercury 37 slant?
I have a clone of the Merkur 37 but I have not tried the Merkur.
Hey Heiko! Nice razor, would love to try it out one day. Where is german word of the shave gone?
I keep forgetting but I will bring it back.
I never understood why they call them electric sheep or sheep pine. Is it because their base is sheep tallow?
Good question.
