Funny to watch this now and think about all the razors you have and how far you’ve come.

Heiko, I have the same razor and had the exact same problem. the instructions in the box do tell you to squeeze the baseplate down and reset it by running it up and down. Also, the adjustment wheel will randomly lose its tightness, usually when you set it between 3 and 7, which is where I would like to use it. So I can get it fixed by "resetting" it mid-shave, but it is ridiculous that I have to do that every time I shave. Needless to say, I do not enjoy shaving with it, have used it maybe 15-25 shaves, and it sits in its box in my storage bin. Disappointing that a well known company would ship a razor with such a bad design. Thanks for the video.

Do not use threadlock on this.

I just needed to figure out how to set the adjustment after disassembling it, and this was perfect for that thanks! Plus learned about the need for Loctite!

I've just recieved a gold plated Futur that was sent to me by a shaving buddy. I've got as far as setting 2 for now till I get used to it.

I just got my first twig yesterday after a big Amazon sale. I LOVED my first shave with it, and I’m a DE shaver! I watched your video to see if I should have gotten the thorn and I agree with you, the twig does a great job. And I have yet to find ANY razor that I can get a close shave with a single pass. I can use a feather blade in an aggressive razor and I’ll still do 2 passes. With the twig I had a fantastically close shave after two passes and I could have been blind folded doing it.

Does aggressiveness = closeness?

What a fascinating razor! This and the Bohemia are my favorite Yaqi razors that you've reviewed so far. I'm not trying to collect razors but if I was, those two would certainly be in it. Great shave!

Very informative video Heiko, thanks. I think this razor' head is far too deep, chunky. I love the razor's handle. Aesthetically pleasing and practical, too, with its ribs on it. Truly how a razor handle should be. I also like the open comb, however this razor's head being so thick it looks to me like a struggle to shave, say, right under the nose. Interestingly, the picture you showed us of the original razor from central continental Europe did not seem to have such a chunky head. The patent on this original razor has probably long expired. The Chinese makers could have more closely followed the original design of this razor, without legal implications, and a much less deep razor head. Thanks for the video.

Hi Heiko, Interesting presentation today...37c is enough slant for me. I made the mistake you did last week. Love my Leaf Twig but got carless with the blade install and put two scratches on my face. Not as severe a cut as yours but enough where it took a week or two to heal. Twig is a great razor but always have to be careful. Like you I had two VW buses: new 71 and 72. Loved them to camp in but did have some mechanical issues with them.

Impressive how razors looks can be deceiving. When looking at the Torqx, it's almost scary due to how slanted it is but in fact after using it you seem to find it very comfortable. I'm not sure if it's the case but you almost make it sounds like it's as easy to use as the Konsul.
