You just know William Fichtner had a lot of fun playing this part. I wish they did a spinoff of this character with him in it.
Whaaaa what the heck is this movie!? It looks awesome!
@@rbu2136 it is called Drive Angry.
@@OneEye. yup! Nic Cage at peak Nic Cage (at least until Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent came out)
The actual "Mayhem" character.
Better call the Accountant. I like it.
William Fichtner mentioned that he tried to play the Accountant like he hadn't been in a human form for a very long time, and was fascinated by every single small thing he experienced. The little huff he gave after nailing Frank to the wall was supposed to mean "Ahh, I still got it."
I liked that rush of lust he got when he looked at that hot waitress's cleavage.
F you bozo as your hero would say .....
when he crashes by the 2 stoners and says
carpenter. and despite what you heard, (he/i) prefered short hair.
makes me think he was jesus. probably a dumb theory.
This actor Is AWESOME, he kills it in every role he's in- I remember him from "American Gothic"....lol ohmygod I'm old😂😭
@@marduke45he was TALKING about Jebus...but nah, I just can't picture it😂😂
Its been said for years but William Fichtner is one of the BEST yet most under-rated actors ever to be on screen, big or small he owns every scene he's in
I must agree. great actor
He has the most hilarious role in a flick called "Go" - if you haven't seen it, check it out... also has Sarah Polley, Katie Holmes, Taye Diggs, Timothy Olyphant, Scott Wolfe, Jay Mohr. Very odd and fun film!
I remember seeing him in "Go" and thinking "damn, he's good". I left the movie theater confident that if Christopher Walken were to ever be arbitrarily wiped from existence, the world would not suffer nearly as bad as I initially feared.
100% agree. He sells Amway….
My favorite is the detective as in the movie "what is the worst could happen ".
Love the way he says to one guy after the crash: "I won't see you again until you're 73". Glances at other one: "I'll see you in three months". Straightens tie and walks off.
I remember when they did that in Star Trek: Next Generation, about 20 years ago. But it was 500 years, and 5 minutes.
@@pozzythump868 Time's Arrow.
He's in a movie with an immortal Nicholas Cage and Amber Heard at the peak of her hotness, yet still manages to be the most memorable thing about the entire film. Wow.
Cage is a putz actor. Not as bad as Jeff Goldblum but down there.
@@jerometaperman7102
Putz?!
Have you seen con air, sir?
@@Flodro250 - No, but I’ll take a look. I was only semi serious. I loved Raising Arizona but didn’t care much for National Treasure. Knowing was a stinkeroo.
@@jerometaperman7102
I prefer to pretend his movies from 2006 to 2009 don’t exist.
Say what you will, but I love the waitress that he helps.
My favorite line, and I can't find video of it on YT: "Satan is simply the warden of a very large prison. Quiet man actually, thoughtful and he's well read. And I happen to know the idea of sacrificing children in his honor annoys him greatly."
same , i have been looking for it a while too.. it is one of the top most scenes of the movie...
I personally think it's a crying shame that Fichtner hasn't had more lead roles, I've yet to see a performance that hasn't thoroughly engrossed and/or entertained me!
Loved him in Prison Break. He probably had the best character given the depth to him
This character deserves his own movie, Will Fichtner practically walked away with this one!
Yes, I'm great with you.
The accountant deserve a spin off.
Fichtner is the only reason to watch this film...and Heard...@Npc# 70954321789
@Npc# 70954321789 In your opinion. Fat fuck.
Fichtner is one of the greatest actors working today.
You took the words right out of my mouth I totally agree this guy's pretty good in every movie I've ever seen him in though
Fitchner is underrated, as he acts "Just Right" for ever part he's given.
I agree
When he took the role he said, "Only if I can play it my way."
What is underrated?
@@mrb4886 The actor William Fitchner is under rated. He is very good in every role he's cast in.
@@wintonhudelson2252 Under exposed.
William Fichtners role in The Dark Knight was far too brief but, as always, brilliantly acted by him.
Once he again he was an accountant.
I saw this with my friend. One of the few movies where the 3D was actually great. What really surprised be was William Fichtner. He had us laughing every single time he came on screen. His timing and delivery is perfect.
Answer . the. .... question
heheheheh
This guy should be in every movie. His quiet intensity is off the charts.
'unless you prefer dead, fat...Fu
I remember seeing it in theaters as well mainly because it was filmed to be in 3D, which (at the time) meant MUCH better visuals than we were getting with post-production 3D...not that it mattered as, while the 3D effects were enjoyable, it wasn't at all a gimmick to drive this movie. It was such a fun movie in its own right...and possibly my favorite Fichtner role, which is saying something, considering how good he is in EVERYTHING. In fact, as I'm typing this, my mind is going "C'mon, man...CONTACT, ffs!".
“Jesus’ Ch-“
“Carpenter... and despite what you hear, prefers short hair.”
Said with such cool casual class.
I actually watched the movie just because of this. Fichtner steals the show. "440 or the Hemi?" And then that look when its the 440. Totally steals it.
I would also like to look at this movie just for that character!
Yeah, I think that was a running gag in the movie. Amber Heard thought her bf was a bit wimpy not getting the hemi, then Nick cage asked and gave a disgusted responce, then the accountant did it. I loved how the whole movir revolved around classic muscle cars. But for me the funniest part was the gun fight while fucking.
I caught that too.
Bingo...you are a wise man.
Yeah I was laughing out loud! Totally disgusted that the guy hadn't acquired the Hemi! LOL!
I love how Fichtner's giving the "I don't give a shit" performance for a character who actually doesn't have to give a shit about what happens around him because he's death
he never says The Warden is his boss. I got a feeling he's St Peter (or just 'Pete' among the guys like Anubis etc), and i would love to see a series of him going to collect on escaped souls like the magnificent celestial marshall that he basically is.
@@DaiAtlus79
He totally set everything up ... the gun, the possibility to escape from hell, the timing.
Just the sort of thing an accountant would do, to bring in a damned soul, that needed some unusual .. lets call it, "persuasion".
@@Grumpy_old_Boot I got a feeling the accountant is St Peter or simply Peter, as he accounted souls
@@DaiAtlus79
I like it, that's not a bad hypothesis. 😁
Must suck working for god with all the petty faqin rules.
Love how he's disappointed with the 440 over the HEMI.
Will is one of the most under utilized actor of all time. Mahony, The Accountant are one of his best performances where we get to see his true potential.
"Captain, you know what this badge means right? Federal Bureau of get the f**k out of my way!"........Lol, kills me every time.
I'm still laughing now
In reality, the local cops generally take care of things, and the feds show up at the press conference and talk a lot.
@@tek6423 I don't this this movie is offered as a documentary. The 57 Chev at the end was a 210, not a BelAir and they drove into the fire with the column shifter in park...but so what? This movie was just too good
It's amazing how little respect the FBI gets nowadays because it's so hopelessly politicized.
You can say fuck
Fichtner made the whole movie worth watching xD
SeniorB
yes, I watched this movie on TV only because Fichtner appeared on the screen
He wasn't so bad in "Heat," even if he eventually ended up having to pay his dues.
The girl, Piper, had one awesome line when she was fighting the cult leader.
"I'm gonna kill you, Piper. Then I'm gonna defile your body."
Piper: "Between now and then, I'm gonna fuck you up."
I honestly thought I was going to be watching a video from Affleck’s “The Accountant,” but this was just as entertaining though.
Clearly an altogether different "Accountant." Fascinating.
I saw "Best of:The Accountant" and didn't remember him being in it so I clicked thinking my memory was going.I like this character. He's just there to do his job without killing or hurting anyone who doesn't deserve it.Going on the clips I've watched of this movie.
Neither are as bad ass as my accountant.
I was thinking the same thing 🤔
Im not a big fan of Afflecks but really enjoyed him in The Accountant great movie deserving of a sequel in my opinion.
His disappointment in the 440 or hemi was effortlessly perfect.
Fichtner stole the entire freakin movie. This character is perfect
My thoughts exactly.
Yeah because his sexual orientation determines if he is a good actor or enjoyable to watch in his profession...
+10oRD He's a Puff? How sad, Sodom and Gomorrah all over the world. Happily Armageddon is coming. Prepare Yourselves.
Oh dear, best not tell Kymberly, his wife and mother of his child. Or Betsy, his previous wife and mother of another of his children. I don't think they know.
HALFTHEMIKE his facial expression when he gets the answer about the motor in the car...lol! That and "answer (knock) ...the (knock)...............question (knock)" hitting the baseball bat skewering the guys shoulder...lol!
The Accountant needs his own movie. Someone needs to make this happen!
Only if Fichtner plays him.
Do you see it as a movie premise, or better as a series?
@@benmarshall2440 movie. I think it works as you see him minimally. It's a great character but not sure wisecracks etc can carry a while series. The formula would get stale quick. Someone escaped from hell. Accountant in their trail. You could maybe mix it up that someone is meant to have appeared in hell but they've tried cheating death somehow as a variation accountant goes to bring them in but yeah. Whole point is he is chasing someone down so shouldn't see him most of the time.
You know he had so much fun with this character.
I just love how casual he is about everything, not giving a fuck about anything, casually driving a truck full of hydrogen singing 'that's the way I like it' whilst crashing into other cars, absolute genius
His character really doesn't have to care about virtually anything, given who and what he is.
It's "That's the Way...Uh-huh, Uh-huh..I LIKE It...Uh-huh, Uh-huh".
I know it's not, really. But it just doesn't sound right without the "uh-huh, uh-huh".
Only seriousness he had was being shot at by the god killer 😂
@@Atomic_Mayhem21 well yes cos that's the only thing that can erm...kill him..
Love this scene
He is a very underrated actor. We need more leading roles for him.
my mom and sister hated him on "as the world turns." they called him horseface for trying to steal lily from dusty.
William Fitchner deserves an Oscar for this movie especially the part where he shows the deputies his badge and tells them " Do u know what the badge means , Federal Bureau of get the F out of my way ".
"I called you fat fuck and you better leave it at that." LOL. William had all the best lines in this movie.
I like when The Accountant is driving the truck. He looks so happy!
Why do I feel like I'm watching a younger Christopher Walken?! This character is awesome!
Yeah he reminds me of Gabriel from The Prophecy
This guy is a bad ass! He really needs his own movie
"You I'll see when you're 75....
You I'll see in 3 months.
That some scary shit
"What does that mean?!!!
@ that means he only got 3months to live his life...And the other will only died at the age of 73...account of god of dth..
Hahaha...ok..
PwnishR
He’s pretending to be the angel of death
I would totally pay to watch a movie where he watch him play the Accountant and does all sorts of stuff. He is freaking amazing in that role.
That look when he is holding the waitress, like he knows he could give her the best night of her life but just doesn't have time.
William Fichtner can walk better than birds can fly.
He’s got some classic lines, and delivers them perfectly! You I’ll see in three months” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just love this movie. I have it on 3D and have watched it at least 5 times. Jame is terrific, but you can tell that the entire cast and crew were having a blast making this movie, simple plot, great characters, everyone was allowed to take their bit as far as they could. Just like a bunch of kids getting paid to play stickball. I wish they would make a sequel. :D
Jesus.. carpenter and despite what you have heard prefers short hair. Hahahaha
This portrayal is one of the best I have seen. What an awesome character.
I love his facial expressions and that head swerve he does on occassion lol
That dude is funny no matter what role he plays.
mariolut great role in black hawk down
Always been a Fichtner fan, great style and wit
The thing about an accountant is that if his books are straight and his numbers work out. Then he has the moral law. Sun Tsu said you have to have the moral law or you will not win.. The accountant rocks. Hes a winner.
Maybe in his day, person who sticks to moral law these days will loose every time... other than that gotta love Mr. Accountant :p
When im stoned, i replay the accountants scenes. Fichtner's brilliance shows ten folds.
Absolutely…they should have made a movie with this character doing more. Such a bad ass.
This just showed up in my queue - this needs to be a Netflix series!
Best character in the movie

"Federal Bureau of Get the Fffff Out Of My Way" One of the BEST lines ever
DAM. Will is the BEST ACTOR in YEARS. I want to see him as The ACCOUNTANT in a NEW SERIES 1,2,3,4,5
this guy needs to have his own movie
"Answer ... The ... (thinks about it) ... Question." Love that scene.
He is the reason I love this film!
Drive Angry is simultaneously terrible and awesome at the same time. The accountant makes a great foil for the absurdity of the rest of the movie.
Pretty much. The concept of someone coming from hell to take revenge is cool but it was mostly gruesome death and this cool dude right here.
The first time I watched this movie and he comes up over the rise in the hydrogen truck with that song playing...I lost my sh*t!! He makes the whole film for me! ✌️
How can this be the 'best of' when they didn't show his epic dismount from the tanker onto the hood of the cop car.
Exactly, misnomer title, missing a few scenes- like putting fuckwit into the wall with the bat.
Hyde Whyte or the broken ball bat bullet kill.
Also end scene when he creates the car and tosses the keys to Nicholas Cage.
@@Nurgles_Rot_How about you get off your entitled arse and post your own compilation.
Or how the baseball bat got there.
William Fichtner never disappoints.
An underrated moment is when he looks at the cultist who babysat the infant, and simply said 'see you soon'
This actually has probably my second favorite depiction of the Devil. He's not evil, he's just a prison ward for the worst prison imaginable and hates having sacrifices done in his name. Also, I like how the Accountant isn't really evil, he's just a guy doing his job.
I'm curious, what is your very favorite if this is 2nd place?
The Accountant wasn't the devil. He just worked for the devil.
The Accountant isn't the Devil himself, he's just an arch-demon that works FOR the actual devil. The Accountant's role appears to be that of the warden - he keeps track of souls in Hell and hunts them down if they somehow escape.
I like it to. I mean movies depict him of being a Gorey, Gross, Murdering, freak. But really he is just a prison warden trying to serve his purpose. He modernized a bit and now just trying to keep his prison in check. Then you got gross idiots like them killing babies in his name? “What the fuck dude? Why would you kill a baby?”
“To please you lord Satan?”
“How about you get me a cold beer and a day off that would please me you sick fuck.” 😂
This isn' t the devil. He's the Devil's Skip Tracer.
I love that little blink at 1:21. It just reeks of "Well that complicated things a bit"
This guy is awesome and he rocked in Prison Break and the only reason I watched Drive Angry was because of William Fichtner. That scene with the truck was the epitome of badass. Rock On man :) .
Watched Drive Angry for the first time this week, and yep Fichtner stole the whole fucking movie!!! Loved the character, especially the way he played him. Give the man his own film!!!!!!!
It's the hand gesture in absolute perfection, lol🤣🤘
I need to like this like 1,000 more times.
I love how The Accountant has a sense of style and a good personality. Please, put this guy in the Ghost Rider movie.
Oh! That would be PERFECT!
"Answer. The. Question." "You Dead. Fat... (looks at waitress) Fuck." William Fichtner is the best.
He crushes that role. I first saw him in Ultraviolet and he kind of sticks in your brain..
It’s a nice touch that he’s actually quite friendly to people who are good, he’s not evil exactly, just doing his job
Will Fichtner nailed with just the proper dose ;)
" why does everyone keep hurting me?" Lol
Fredrick Smith-something. I loved him hammering the bat
Because you just cheated on your girlfriend and hit her in her face.
That guy is one of the producers of the movie.
''Because you're a dumb-ass and you deserve it.'' Would've been my answer.
@Tyler Durden: Red Foreman and Bert Gummer are two of my favorite characters.
William Fichtner- "is one hell of a great Actor" I luv this dude 🤘
This character deserves an arc through many movies. This is how I would imagine a devil of truly unparalleled powers would act. The voice, the swagger, the casual confidence that assumes everything will go exactly to plan. Really would enjoy this character appearing more. Congratulations to Will Fichtner for inhabiting this character so well.
He is not the devil. He is the death. His job is to take the souls to the afterlife. “You think you’re Anubis?”
@@kltpzyxm2010 Thanks for the clarification. I hope all is well.
He is like a supernatural james bond
''why do everyone keep hurting me?''
that part always gets me c:
Definitely going to have to find and watch this. Always loved his work.
Angel of death trying to pass as a human is hilarious 😂😂😂
the accountant was the best part of this movie
the accountant always has epic music when the cameras on him he really needed more cam time
This role of the Accountant was genius and played to perfection by the awesome William Fichtner. I believe this is one of his best roles if not the best, and IMO, he stole the show with it.
hahahahaha "You know what this badges means right? It means Federal Bureau of get the fuck out of my way" that entire scene is the funniest scene in the movie
This is a franchise character if there ever was one 👍👍👍
That’s a man who loves what he does!
Initially I didn't know that Fiechtner was in this film but after watching the whole movie well,I now see this movie just because of him.
Been trying to find this clip for over 2 years.
Ur legend bro for uploading this clip
The Accountant scenes were the BEST scenes of the movie!
What an amazing actor he is .
I love this guy as Col. Willy Sharp
DJTommy812 *salutes* Armageddon, nice 👍🏻
dude William Fichtner is such an underrated actor - hes so fucking good
I always remember him in movies
"I'll see you in three months."
what does that meeeeean?
@Daniel Appleton i know u probably mean well but i was following the movie line
In any TV show or movie...if William Fichtner is coming after your ass.....you're in deep shit!
This is so great. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to see the movie!
"That's the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it" - the absolute perfect music for that scene lol
If anyone worth their salt in movie business, they could instantly see the potential here. i mean come on, a whole movie build around this character, it would fucking rock.
Talk about having another actor here steal the spotlight from the main actors.
RMJ1984 Yeah but Hollywood is terminally stupid.
My favorite line is: " Captain, you know what this badge mean right? Federal Bureau get the fuck out of my way! :D
I actually started watching this movie on TV during the police chase and thought: "oh God, not another Nicholas Cage movie"
And right before I changed the channel, he appeared. Then I had to watch to the end.
His genuine look of disappointment that Frank has the 440 rather than a hemi in his charger. Lol
He is such an underrated actor and hilarious in the show MoM
such a great actor. I wish we would see more of him
Why have they not made a movie with this guy around this character, that would be freaking awesome!.
My brother in law worked on that movie. I have the "Welcome to Oklahoma" sign in my garage.
Still lovin me some Fichtner. This guy is the whole movie. WHEN is the sequel comin out? Should be calledDrive AngryII, The Accountants journey. He is awesome. \m/
