    Hello, at what time of year was this video filmed ? Is there ice all year round on Diamond Beach ? I'm hesitant to choose my travel dates: June or end of September > what is your advice ? Thanks for answer.

      This was filmed in January almost 3 years ago now.
      Yes you can find ice on the beach all year round. Some days will have more ice than others, but generally when the tide is low, the icebergs will be flushed out onto the beach.
      Regarding travel dates:
      -June is busy with tourists but will have better weather and longer days.
      -September would probably be the better option if you are looking for less crowds but weather can be hit or miss.
      Hope this helps! :)

    Beautiful 🖤 When I went there was not too much Ice in the lagoon. Is it best at a particular month of the year?

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  Рік тому +1

      Very hard to say as the glacier conditions do change year to year but I would say most icebergs are created during the summer months and would then slowly flow to the ocean over the course of a few months to years. Usually by autumn/winter you should see quite a few near the parking lot and Diamond Beach.
      What time of year did you visit?

    • @NikkiEvernight
      @NikkiEvernight Рік тому

      @@VividIceland I went there in march. There were a few on the beach and in the sea, but hardly any in the lagoon. Makes sense there would be more in summer / late summer

      This was filmed at the end of January 2021, if you come here in March it should still be quite cold and the ice should still be very blue!
