Thanks +Hart and Col ❤️ And welcome to our channel! 🎉 To answer your question, I have used the GlideCam in the past and am currently using the Robin-S, but that being said I do not use it that often for reasons of convenience. More stuff to lug around, takes longer for setup, etc. and there is a lot one can do to get smooth shots with a steady hand, warp stabilizer and most importantly the in-sensor stabilizer on the GH5. Take this with a grain of salt as the Iceland footage has all been shot pretty much exclusively with the Ronin-S. 😜 I wanted a more flowy feel for this mini-series. There is going to be a bunch of iPhone footage in the coming up videos when getting into the hot springs etc. and for that I use the Osmo Mobile stabilizer and the Filmic Pro app to more closely match the rest of the footage. I hope that helps!
Definitely worth getting. Unintentional shaky footage just isn't as watchable unless you want it to be shaky to evoke a sense of adrenalin, in an action scene or something like that. One more tip, export your footage in 24 frames per second (23.976), for a more cinematic feel (also shoot in 24 when possible) and slow some of the b-roll footage shot in 60fps down to 24 (2.5x) this will mitigate a lot of shake, I use this all the time! 😀
@@FernwehChronicles Thanks so much for all info, it all sounds pretty familiar I just need to implement it all now. I have tried doing voice overs a few time and can never get good audio quality. Do recored directly into premier or final cut or something else.
No problem! Yes, I record directly in Premiere Pro, I used to use Audition but with the new Essential Sounds panel, they have some good equalizer, reverb, etc. Do you use Premiere? If so I can share the preset I put together for my VO if you like, it's a good starting point. And for the mic, any of the Yeti mics do a good job, no need to go Rode just yet.
Love you guys’ videos, found your channel a few days ago…I love watching your videos, I wished I could travel all around the world like that, I’ve been to Africa and I watched your Masai Mara and Amboseli videos, I went to both places, was a great experience 😊
Amazing sight! I have a question to your trip: Does the Diamond Beach look like that the whole year or only to a special season? When did you go there? And i've no clue what Liz is ecxited about could be german or english but for me it sounds like gibbly fish :) Danke für eure tollen Aufnahmen, sehr inspirierend :)
Danke! ❤️ The diamond beach spectacle can be seen all year around though in the winter seasons the majority of the beach will most likely be covered in snow, and you’ll have to bundle up a bit more to truly enjoy the ice shards. Stay warm out there!
Just found you guys channel. Awesome vlogs! I love the cinematic shots and edits. We just came back from our Iceland trip in May and it was so beautiful!!
Thank for your video. I'm feeling inspired to visit the absolutely stunning places. I'll want to take also my family and show them Seljalandsfoss, Glacier Lagoon.
Just awesome video and a great family. May I know at which time of the year did you visit Iceland? Because the weather seems preety good in your video.

It depends what you’re looking for, but I’d recommend at least 5 days if not a week if you want to make it out of Reykjavik and explore the countryside. I think we were there for 12 days.

No she is not BUT we are fully aware of her name’s Sanskrit roots and actually have some Indian and Nepali adventures under our belts that have inspired our son’s name which is Bodhi and our dog’s name (he makes an appearance in the Colorado Road Trip video) which is Nandi, which is also the name of our Royal Enfield Bullet which is currently parked just outside Darjeeling. 👍🏻
Such a great Edit... to say the least, I just went a binged the rest of your channel... Do you shoot most of the footage on a DSLR Gimbal?

would love to know what gear you use for filmmaking!
That one was shot in the GH5 and the Phantom 4 Pro. The newer ones have been shot on the BMPCC4K with a Mavic 2 Pro.
