There is nothing sacred about ESPN, other than it's the network that people who came of age in the 80's (albeit, the impact skyrocketed in the 90's) can only remember. But the novelty of ESPN died a decade ago, and social media is killing it. ESPN has churred through many "personality" types...even the term "personality" is a joke when you consider they're only talking heads with analysts feeding them with what they say on air. ESPN will go away one day. ESPN, as you two have known it, will not be around much longer. The platform will change...it always has changed....and nobody is untouchable. You two are getting old. Your world is changing before your eyes. ESPN is not that safety blanket that gives you that wanton security you long for! lol All those ex-espners, are out there doing their own podcasts. If they were as great as you say, they will always find away to get paid online. But ESPN only wants the latest, and greatest. SAS will go away one day. Bank on it.
