props!! I was considering replacing mine, JUST to upgrade a standard dash to the smooth style like the RT v8 upgraded version. I may have to reconsider. but damn the smooth versions look better than the standard ones ;)
You have the proper tools, it just sounds scary popping those clips. Have to go watch the last video UA-cam didn't notify me for some reason....

I work on airbags for a living I do all airbag work and airbag module resets and I actually really like dashboard jobs 😂 except there are some vehicles dashboards that are difficult to remove lol

I know this vid is old but I’m doing the exact same thing now.. question.. is it a must to replace the air as control module? Or have it sent in for rebuild like you did? And am I able to purchase one online new and slap right in?
Have you started? I want to change my dash because the car was in a wreck and a new one was put in but it’s the base model dash and not the stitch one that matches the rest of my interior, it bugs me so much
Hi there, I had a question maybe you could help me with. I don’t mean to bother, I just replaced my dash and all airbags beside steering wheel and side curtains. Can I re use my impact crash sensors if they don’t appear damaged or shall I order new ones? Worried when I give car power that air bags might blow, 2022 dodge charger here
What about the ignition node do you have to reprogram new node?
after you took out the radio i tried to figure out the side panels on each side of the gear shifter. they are known for warping. i replayed that part of your video like 20x. seems like a bunch of clips but u had a very hard time on passenger side
Looks like I will have to do that to replace those blend door actuators on driver side
would I need to do anything after to the OBD or take it to the dealer to reset it or anything regarding the airbags?
Hello Veteran Garage, I’m actually working on wife’s 2014 Dodge Charger, replacing the air conditioning evaporator unit, can the black piece of the dashboard be removed by it self? Or does it come off with the aluminum frame that’s behind the black piece ? Do I needed to remove the steering wheel as well ?
I’ve seen someone actually take out the whole dash without taking apart the steering wheel and I believe the radio to as well
i have a sxt and i have a scatpack motor ready to swap but i wanted to ask is it possible to switch a sxt 2014 challenger gauge cluster and steering wheel Dashboard cover and center console to a 2020 scatpack ( i wanna change the 2014 dashbaord and screen and center console )

U don’t have to remove the steering and u only have to remove the passenger side vent to remove dash

That's how long it took, removing it, repairing it and installing it again.
you actually don't need to send in that module for reset. On most Chrysler products you can just clear the faults with a capable scan tool. As shown in this video around the 24 minute mark ua-cam.com/video/M4yk25H_ggg/v-deo.html
At 8:05, it was easiest for me to just go to the passenger seat and yank it off by hand
Its Sad that you have to replace a whole dash just because of blown airbag. Why can't they make it a serviceable/replaceable part? with a design where just that area the airbag goes have its own kit/unit that you can just replace just that blown airbag portion and still keep your dash? SmH.
well technically you still can fix this… i’m an upholsterer & i do these dashboards all the time
