It should be judged by how much they price these two kind of fee. But the two stage pricing system is actually friendly to the customers. Imagine you want to hold a family trip, but grandma or the kids only want to get in the park but the others want to take all the rides. Charging customer with two stage make sense, but it need to set these two price more reasonable.
Herman That’s completely untrue. The most “customer friendly” way would be a well priced per ride system so Grandma doesn’t pay for just being there. Sadly it doesn’t tend to be well priced.
A+ to Himeji for the creativity of including unique aspects such as making a drop tower and a Batman clone into a water ride, but the ~$30 is absolutely insane.
This park just opened the re-located VenusGP that used to be located at Space World, it was the first Maurer coaster and it's really intense. Now that is one more reason to visit this Park.
Honestly the place looks really nice, and it has some fun stuff to do besides just some coasters. I think what it needs is some kind of new coaster-even if something simple (like idk, a free spin?) after they paint Diavlo to kinda get it more attention. Being so cleaned up and sweet looking and low crowds makes me pleased, that's for sure. Be curious if there are more interesting/unique rides around but I kinda doubt given how that air race/enterprise rides were highlighted in prior japan park review videos.
I have visited Himeji Central Park back in October 2019. The water cannons on Diavlo wasn’t operational during my visit there (obviously due to the fall weather) and plus the Freefall was closed the whole day. The strangest thing was that the rides were closed due to wind most of the day but gradually reopen throughout the afternoon. The park employees does not communicate well which rides are really closed for the day even if I use translation app. Almost begged for a refund. But when I finally rode Diavlo and the other thrill rides once it opened just before the park’s closing, I guess I get my money’s worth. Still, just one visit is enough. Great video you did btw!
Thank you! I am sorry to hear your experience wasn't quite as good. The water canons not operating makes sense- that sucks though about the drop tower being closed. I probably would've been asking for a refund too.
Glad I could help! I enjoy making these park reviews because I know there isn't a ton of info readily available about them, so I hope my experience there can act as a resource! My goal with these is to help people if they decide they want to do a Japan Coaster Tour of their own.
@@CoasterStudios Your park reviews and coaster vlogs are some of the best out there. You give insight into small obscure parks, and different perspectives to the big ones. You keep my coaster enthusiast spirit alive!
I remember watching the drop tower video! The Japanese people seem to not go to their parks much in contrast to the USA. A lot of them seem meh so I dont blame them.
I remember riding Free Fall when it was still at SFMM. If they still had it and you could hold a bucket during the ride I guarantee it would get a line.
This place was great in 2015! The waterpark had an really good wild river ride down the side of the mountain. Sadly the droptower was closed on my visit. I agree with your toughts, the park is fun but I would also visit something else instead when I go back to Japan. And did Diavlo still sound like an jetfighter? It was extremly noisy for an B&M back in 2015.
I live in Osaka and go to Himeji and Ako often. Never even heard of this place. Looks pretty cool. I truly feel like it’s a chore when my girl drags me to Tokyo disney and I am just not interested in amusement parks as i was as a kid but somehow I stumbled across all these videos and now i kind of want to make an amusement park party. I used to go to Nara Dreamland and hangout after it was abandoned and now it is demolished maybe i should try going to a real living amusement park lul. 乾杯🍻
That's fair. It seems every time the park repaints a ride, they give it an all new color scheme. It would be weird to have Diavlo anything other than black.
If I ever go to Japan I would definitely go there, because they have at least two flat rides that are almost extinct. (an enterprise and Intamin first gen drop tower.)
@@Tyler-wu7jx intamin drop towers just simply weren't really built to last unfortunately, but I've ridden two different ones and they are brilliant rides, feels like a drop tower and coaster in-one. Great video. Thats whats great about japan. So many only in japan moments. Next time go to the safari park where you drive your own car through the lions tigers and bears and feed them with tongs throuh window. Keep up reviews!
Out of the parks you’ve reviewed in Japan thus far I think only this and Tobu zoo are parks I wouldn’t visit. This place seems kinda cool but not worth $60+, would much rather spend an extra day touring Osaka than going here.
I don't blame you. I am glad I visited, but I don't think I would go back. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the next Japan parks to close within the next 10 years.
Coaster Hour When I’m planning a coaster trip, much more important than whether or not I want to spend money on a park’s admission fees, is whether or not I want to spend the TIME to devote a day to an out-of-the-way park. For me, it’s *time* that adds up to the real expense, because every day means more costs (lodging, transport, food, etc.). The park could have a bargain admission price, but if it takes a full day out of the trip and the rides aren’t worth it, then it’s too expensive.
We really wanted to visit Rusutsu, however it is EXTREMELY difficult to get to. The park is essentially on an Island in the very most northern part of Japan, where the rail service isn't as prevalent. We will try and visit next time we are in Japan.
Dude I don't care what anyone says or thinks about this park and even if youre leaning towards it as a no is it worth it? Where else have you seen a park like this in the middle of the mountains with no lines, just yourself. it'd be pure happiness if id get the whole park to myself.
#Ethan Alvara I haven’t been to Six Flags St Louis since before I even did operation videos. I did not film one at Discovery Kingdom because it was very busy when I visited and I didn’t have the ability to ride every ride to time them.
It’s not so much that $60 is expensive for a park as it is about the value for your dollar. Japan’s Universal and Disney were both more expensive, but you get a lot of quality rides and attractions that make it worth it! Fuji Q was cheaper than Himeji, and was well worth the price! This park...not so much

The water bucket ride looks so fun!! Now imagine having a bucket on a regular ride
Yeah, although on a hot and humid day I think I would have just worn my wet shirt.
Bucket of water on steel vengeance?🤔🤔
A fee to get in, AND a fee to ride the rides? That’s excessive. Most other parks have one or the other, but not both.
It should be judged by how much they price these two kind of fee. But the two stage pricing system is actually friendly to the customers. Technically Diavlo is the only inverted water coaster, and it is the only water coaster with inversions.
Some inverted water coasters there
