Olanzapine made me sleep 15-16 hours a day. I hope this doesn't do that too. I've never been on Fluxotine yet. I do like that they're coming out with new improved medications for BiPolar depression and Schizophrenia. I hope this is a good one.
Not an olanzapine but I was on Fluoxetin and Quetiapin for a while due to BPD and it saved my life. Is it similar since Quetiapin is also an antipsychotic?

Hey Dr Rossi, @ 4:02 you mention how if a pt fails olanzapine, one is only left with clozapine. My current understanding of antipsychotics is that certain pts will respond to certain DRBAs (e.g drugs a, b, & c) and other patients will respond to different ones with some overlap (e.g. drugs c, d, & e). Kinda like antihypertensives, there are more and less effective meds but everyone is idiosyncratic and will only respond to a certain med. If a patient doesn't respond to olanzapine, who's to say they won't respond to, say, aripiprazole?
I have a question for you. My 16 year old daughter has bipola1, adhd inattentive type and GAD (this may be a product of bipolar) She was on Lybalvi 4 a month waa tired and not functional during day. Tried Saphris became manic/psychotic. Back to Olanzapine 5mg but this time not making her tired. Dis Samidorphan cause drowsiness?
Does symbyx help with ocd when these two drugs like prozac combined with zyprexa combination does it work same as alone prozac for ocd or it's better to take alone prozac for ocd
I have failed trileptal and lamictal and lexapro works but it's just "meh." wondering if this is a good combo for bipolar II dep/severe GAD/obsessive tendencies.
