I'm finding more and more that your videos are part of the "little luxuries". They're brief, mostly always uplifting or at least inspiring to some degree, and there's a calmness in your voice that helps bring me back to center. Thank you for what you do.
I agree with all the other comments here: your short videos are wonderful, they are like an afternoon cookie, only that I watch them before I start my day. It's just the perfect amount of procrastination, enough but not too much ;)
Small luxuries was a good point. 👍 I was one of those who viewed routines negatively. But somehow, the "freedom" of not having a routine started to make me miserable. I finally gave up and decided to try it for some time. I can't express how much it has removed anxiety from my day-to-day life, and there are days that my uncertainty toward myself and future come back, and I remember when I didn't have a routine, I just wasted those days, now I know they will pass and in the end it's better to stick with the long-term plan. For those who are like me and are afraid of having a routine, I suggest you to change your perspective. It's more dynamic than you think. The content of your days will change fast and are flexible, but the structure of your days are consistent and relevant toward your long-term goal. I decide daily what is best for the day, and I change the structure of my routine every one to two months to match best with the plan.
So simple & so powerful! This is one of my favorite videos so far, the B Roll footage of Venice & the summary of small but mighty habits. Really enjoying your new shorts series!
ahhhh!!! I booked a flight to LA end of Feb after we were hit with a blizzard that dumped a "historical" amount of snow on Toronto. Sunshine and palm trees, here I come! P.S. 'This too shall pass' is literally my mantra - I always feel calmer when I say it out loud. Also, I never thought if it in relation to the good - such an astute observation.
I absolutely love the way you end your videos, it’s so refreshing and new! Rather than the normal “ok guys until next time…. Please like and subscribe…” You kind of trail off on a thought and it is captivating and leaves me time to contemplate and reflect on my own.
"#3 Simple pleasures bring the most happiness" - that's something I often overlook.. but I really like the idea of turning simple pleasures into a more conscious awareness. You're on a roll with these videos at the moment, thank-you Lefie!
This video feels like an answer to the comment I made 10 minutes ago in your day 5 video :D I love those small videos who seems to answer and complete each other. It's like I'm on a journey!
This video has grounded me again. Thank you - I've been feeling so frantic with the world around me that I forget to just be present and enjoy the little things again. Love this series - keep up the great work!
I like No3! Time with the cat for example, Do you and Tyson have chin scritching time together? Also No 4, feeding a cat, that wounderfull nom nom nom moment when you feed a cat. Simple pleasures! Good to be reminded of these things... Thanks Lefie! :-)
For me, the best simple pleasure is this: To passionately enjoy the feeling of desiring something. To enjoy just wanting that object of desire that the marketing men are trying to sell me. Without any intention of ever spending any money to get it. Now that's freedom! That's my favourite, endless, easily accessible, simple pleasure. And boy, does it piss them off !
@@thebestwillow thank you both. Of course I was assuming that, but really wasn't sure since the tents seem so exposed. not that homelessness didn't exist in my country (of course not, sadly) but I guess the entire way a city is set up is so different to bigger US-american cities that homelessness simply shows differently.
Hi Lefie, I'm sorry but I think you're adorable. For a self proclaimed introvert you're sharing and showing loads more than other Tubers. But perhaps it's just recognition on my side, I dunno. Hug? 💚
Haha, thanks Rob 🙂 Talking to a camera is often less intimidating than a real life convo, actually, because I know I have control of the edit afterwards.
@@Lefie Hey Lefie, thanks for the response. I do understand the safety of recording & editing (which I think most UA-camrs rely upon), however... you still throw it out into a world which isn't all roses and peaches, to put it mildly. Not my cup of tea, and cudos to you.

Whoa, I'm honored. Thanks, Ben 😊

It really helped me when I realized my average routine day actually made me happier than a lot of the peak days like holidays and vacations.
I've been loving this Vlogbrothers-type format, Lefie!
Me too
It seems that watching your daily videos during coffee break at 2 PM (Brussels time) is my new routine.

I am so excited to go on this Daily Journey with you Lefie. Thanks for exhibiting the courage and exerting the emotional labor to show up it this way.
I love these tiny bits, it's like an afternoon cookie.

Wow, apparently I was today years old when I found out Vespucci Beach in GTA Online is a nearly exact replica to a real life beach.

Make a video on your night and morning routine plz ?! I don't have any a the moment except using my phone 🙂
👍👍👍
I want to ride my onewheel in Venice? Have you seen the show Flaked? It's on netflix and its filmed in Venice. Your video is beautiful!
Why did you stop doing your "signature WINK" at the end of each video ??? That was your unique trademark on your videos !!! Please bring it back :-)
What are those tents on the patio within the first minute?
There's a big homelessness problem in Los Angeles, with homeless folk living in tents long term all over the place. That's probably what it was.
