YES. Someone said starting a career in middle age was pointless as you won't make as much money as if you had started earlier. My thought was I'll be middle age and older regardless so, why not do what I finally learned was my calling. Yes, I was 52 when I finished grad school.

I also make “letters to my future self” and it’s basically me saying stuff that I appreciate in future me. For example “I’m so grateful that you worked hard for achieving ___. When I was poorly it was so hard to have goals because I literally didn't know if I would be alive in a month's time. Having "make goals" as a goal is entirely acceptable IMO.
We only do that because of fear. What are you afraid of? What do you think you will outgrow when you stop resisting? Often it’s a fear of change or the unknown. Observe yourself.
you go girl. Been doing this for ummmmmmmmmmmmmm 35 years and hey now just go to dollar tree and it's getting those cards free. I listened to you those cards. Invest in you and be of service to others.
"Speed of achievement is not guaranteeing achievement" this hit me so hard. As someone who feel pressured to be good at something as soon as possible. I tend to rush things more than I intended to because that kind of pressure really gets on me.
I just came across this, I had an index card pack on a spiral, like a notebook, it was nice. The first and last was a protective page, great for carrying along.

@@ellaweiss4600 Alright soooo I didn't adapt this wholesale. Instead of creating a stack of cards like Lefie (which is an entirely new system), I bake the structure behind this into my planner since I use it daily; I use my planner throughout the workday for goal planning and bring it to me to bed for reflection. It's going good so far! Improved my goal planning and focus daily My tip is to implement this structure through a medium that works for you, and do keep me updated!
Just want to let you know, your index card changed how I planned my days, thus my life - A simple portable system of good habit forming reminders and organization. A big thank you and I hope you are enjoying and reaping the rewards of these humble little cards as well. 😄
Hey Jo, good to "see" you here! I've rallied a group of friends doing your exercises as we're doing 10,000 steps challenge now 🔥 How has this index card method worked out for you so far? All the best ❤️ ❤️ ❤️🚀 🚀 🚀
😅 it helps to organize thoughts after putting the hard thinking to established study practice, especially at a time when "thinking about stuff" could be difficult 😂 But making it portable, avails it for "seizing the day" (since there's really not 24 whole hours 😔)
This method has been changing my life, since I first implemented it as a part of my morning routine two months ago. I can not thank you enough for sharing this simple, yet powerful idea. So many profound and potentially impactful “notes to self” that I have written over the years have been wasted, simply due to the journal-like format I've written them in. Most of them I have never repeated, never reviewed... I have never given them the chance to truly sink in... Having my seeds of wisdom, gratitude, and optimism in a deck of index cards that I can go through within minutes as I am drinking the morning tea has changed that, with great results!
i really like this idea because you could easily “forget” what is on your board but with this… it’s interactive. it helps add meaning to your efforts in goal setting through action. often times i feel like nothing happens with my goal because i set it and forget it.
This is genius. First, I was skeptic when you said about this, but when you showed how it looks, and that you have cards not only with goals, but with reminders, quotes etc., it spoke to me. Basically, it's deconstructed journal. And the fun part is that you can still add pretty pictures, magazine clip art or patterned paper to this. I'm gonna do this.
This reminds me of the "Hipster PDA." Same idea - write stuff down on index cards, clip with binder clip, and carry it around as needed. But that was more about capturing ideas on the go, and productivity and to do lists, whereas this... I like this, because it's not just the stuff on your to-do list that you need to think about every day: You gotta remind yourself why you're doing it all in the first place. Thank you for sharing, I like this idea a lot.
Yep. You can even buy things like the pocket briefcase to store them in, or to carry around additional blanks. Her deck is a bit thick for the one I have though.
My only problem is, I have ADD and I am a very out of sight, out of mind person. I have to have things displayed or sitting out or I will literally forget they exist
I relate! Nothing stopping you from doing them both! Put your index cards with your wallet and things you tend to need for your day to day and leave yourself reminders about it. Habits take time, but will develop!!
Wow maybe I am ADD too cause thats sounds very familiar to me. But maybe both would be good for me. Ive been thinking of framing certain things on a wall in my bedroom so i have something in my face
Yeah! One thing that I did recently that helped was to write what I like to do in my free time. It may sound silly, but knowing I can "pick a thing to do" whenever I'm free, for some reason, really helps
I do that too! I felt like I was struggling to fit in all the things I like to do so I made a list of all the things I wanted to incorporate into my week+how many hours a week would make me happy, and how much time I have before/after work. Turns out I have tons of time to do it all!
Some reflection questions that might be nice to include: - What did I fail at? - What did I learn from that? - What are you grateful for? - What do you love about yourself? - How are you in service to others? If you read through your cards in the morning it may be most useful to reflect on the day before. Another possible helpful idea for all the things you want to manifest: write somewhere a chart with two sides. On the first side you write what actions you will take to achieve your manifestations, on the second side you will write the job of the universe/God, i.e. to bring you opportunities etc. This way it will be easier to let go of your manifestations so that you're not obsessing over them. Hopefully, this is helpful! 💕💕Go get 'em Kings👑 and Queens👑!
For the ideal self : How would she feel? Also, ‘if the well being of the world depended on your joy, what would you do more of?’ From ‘The desire map’ book,
Wow ! I wish I could’ve found this sooner 🥺 My mom saw my vision board once and started laughing at it . And I cried so much. It wasn’t that she was doing it to be mean . I know she reacted that way because to her those goals are impossible to reach in her mind . But not to me .
I am a imperfect mom & after reading your comment I set my intentions to never ever laugh at my kid's goals. Some goals take moments, others years to achieve. But I hope to be supportive! And I truly hope you can look back & see the progress you have made this year!!! 🙏 Blessings ❤️
My ex-husband laughed about the vision board I created and hid and that he came across (this is years ago). So yes - this idea of flashcards is ingenious! I would add some graphics created with Canva (I can't draw myself) or use colored pens and pencils to add visual variety.
Exactly why I stopped sharing any of my goals with family. They have laughed at me too. 🥺 People these days do not know how to lift up and encourage their own kids/family members. Sad. May ALL your dreams and ambitions come true!!!
I've just ordered some index cards, and I'm giving this a try. I'm also going to use half for vocab in my second language so whenever I'm tempted to scroll my phone, I can look through them instead and hopefully use my time more productively.
@@eastlynburkholder3559 I just said that in my comment before reading yours. Someone stated using zip lock bags to keep the cards clean. I think this idea could separate different projects and filed in a box like journalling. Anyway, we were on the same wavelength.
One idea I had when she mentioned taking cards out of the pile was that once you have determined you no longer need the card - maybe you can take it out and write on the back of the card- sort of like cataloging progress. I feel like there are days when I am down and wouldn’t it be nice to see the cards I have no longer needed to work on to boost me on low days? Just spitballing
I used lists and notes for years. I read so many inspiring books. I became goals driven to better myself. It was exhausting. Now, I'm retired. No work, no pressures, no competition, no long term plans. I'm okay with everything until I decide to change something. It's so freeing. Freedom of mind is everything. Finally, I can be just the me I am! Much love. x
Linda, I’m there with you. However, after 3 year break I’m back at work. It’s mind bending. I really want to retire, maybe in 5 years. Now at least I really know what I’m working for.
@@tammiepulley7167 I'm feeling your pain! I found working more difficult as I got older and wiser. Just try to keep sane for another 5 years - hopefully it will fly by. Best wishes.
@xbluebells I hope you revert back to your youthful self. We should be allowed to just be ourselves at work - no wonder everyone is so stressed these days. It's gone crazy! x
A note about your "Truth" section: This has a basis in psychology! Those parts of you that you like and are important to yourself are called domains (if you've ever seen Inside Out, it's kind of like the mind islands), and reminding yourself about those can help you recover from setbacks and criticism and protects our overall positive self-concept, but research has also showed it can help us be more accepting of strangers and work harder and be less upset when others make stereotyping judgements against us. It's really cool!
Hi, I love what you said, how the video relates to the structures mentioned in psychology. Do you have any recommendations on how we can learn more about this? Any interesting books, videos, material you have in mind how we can learn more? 🙂🙏🏼
Underrated! This is the best recommendation I have ever gotten. Thank you for this and the really good ideas on what to write on the cards. You're amazing!
This is so awesome! I do vision board workshops at woman's halfway houses and this would be a fantastic addition since these women come and go more often than not. They could take these with them. ❤️ Thank you again!
I learned to LOVE index cards when I started my college education at age 49! They have been a valuable staple (i.e., effective!) in my life ever since, and I'm turning 80 soon. ~Lyn W
Don't know how I got to this video - but glad I did. Every time people visit me, I have to stash/hide away visions boards! I'll be shopping tomorrow. Thank you for sharing xx
This is one of those moments when messages find you when you need them most. I really appreciated you sharing this portable vision board. I’m 45 and feel like I’m at a turning point in my life-so many things I’ve done but still more to do and I need to recoup and find focus again. It just so happens I also ended up with a bunch of index cards, paper, binder rings and discs for a different project (book binding has become a hobby) and now I know what the next project will be! Thank you for sharing and inspiring!
Started using index cards instead of notes written in random on every paper to organize at least by topic. Using for system put me in mind for the early books on organizing your house and making the habits to keep it clean. Using it for goal process is eminently satisfying and a way to cut up the time to avoid procrastination and solve boredom. Will add this to daily regimen and affirmations are good additions.
I have been using a bullet journal, and I like it. I do write dreams and goals for the year, and then I parse them by month. I also track the good habits that I want to build or maintain. I keep a running wish list of clothes, cosmetics, etc. that I want to buy. I do like the index cards!
i invested so much to bullet journal, hoping that it would make my ass move but sadly it didnt 😆 main reason is i was too perfectionist in designs, templates, photos, all about visuals! so i end up getting exhausted bc of my unrealistic expectations lol. but i am glad it really worked for you! 🥰 i wish i could find what's best for me very soon 🥺
I can attest to this method! I've been writing affirmations on flashcard on and off for a few years when I get in a bad spot. It works like a charm. When I'm able to clear about what I want and how I want to feel, it comes easier to me. Going through the flashcards gets me really hyped up too because you can feel the excitement in your mind build. I love a good vision board or plan written out but going through the process of doing the flashcards forces you to focus you mind keenly on what you want. Thanks for the reminder Lefie!
I really like your method. It’s simple, compact and easy to carry to review or adjust when needed. Makes more sense than a traditional journal. Hmmmm I may borrow your idea.
I recently bought some small poster board and for some reason... a deck of index cards. I have been postponing the vision board and did not know what the cards were "meant" for.. This video popped up at exactly the right time! I LOVE this method you present. I like the privacy, mobility, and mutability. I will still make my vision board for the fridge, but for short term goals, reminders, etc. More of a planner for the next month or season. Definitely going to enjoy developing the cards.
V. cool Lefie! I have a similar system with a mini-ring binder I got a few years ago. My visionboard is as flamboyant and grandiose as it is embarrassing 😂 so I like to hide it and hustle in secret 😀
I love this idea too! Still minimalist, yet a mini-binder would allow for a lot of flexibility & personalization! I think I'll try this ☺ thank you for sharing!
Just wanted to tell you that I just stumbled upon your video and now am going down the rabbit hole of your channel. I love your energy. I love how you present your ideas and how you share yourself and protect the parts that are for you - you communicate well and you have good vibes just all over the place. Can’t wait to hear more of what you are bringing to the world. ❤️
I really like this idea and am greatly inspired by it. I've been toying around with the idea of a Vision Board for a while now and you're right about where and how would I have it handy for my own inspiration without having it on display for others to view and possibly be very critical of my goals and dreams. Your index card system makes so much sense. I can keep them in my bag where they are easy to grab and look at everyday but no one else will have access to them. Thank you for this idea and another great video.
I rarely leave comments but this is one of the most useful things I've ever learned from UA-cam. So simple, so smart. I started doing it and it makes a difference. Thank you, Lefie!
For years I've done the same: I write my goals for the year at the beginning of my journal. If it's something I want to do once (like getting a tattoo) I just tick when done. If it's a habit or similar (like donating every month), when I do it I write the first letter of the month next to the goal when I do it, and only tick in December. It's simple, it only takes up one page and I have it always with me ❤️ Oh, by the end of each year I cut that sheet of paper and put it with the others from previous years. I like to see what I've managed to accomplish every now and then 😊 I like your method, too! I like that you've included questions and your values. I see the reason behind it. So simple and effective. Keep up the great work, Lefie! Hugs from Argentina 🇦🇷❤️
I have no present form of this in my life other than occasionally journaling! I love this so much more. A flash-card-sized inspiration that you’ve personalized to yourself is so much more digestible than an entire journal entry. Also less opportunity for rambling. Can’t ramble within such limited space!
Similar to this method, I have a vision journal! It’s compact and I take it with me everywhere I go. This helps me get all my ideas out too because sometimes you have inspiration and ideas, thoughts and the convenience of having a journal (or in your case note cards) is so useful
This is a good idea, I will add this to my daily meditation practice. Having a few cards that remind me of what I want to meditate on, in my back pocket, might be just the thing I need to get to that next step in my journey. Thank you.
i literally was grappling with weather or not to make a vision board recently because of the exact reasons you pointed out and i’m definitely going to go with your card method cuz it totally solves the contentions i was having with the board!!
Ok, so I started doing this as soon as I saw your video! It was a MAJOR lightbulb moment for me! Not just for productivity, but for spirituality too. My set of cards has expanded and contracted as things become more/less important and as I get more satisfied with my progress!!! Truly transformational stuff in
With regards the water intake I find herbal tea is a nice idea, and also a large Jug that sits some where prominent in the room - cut up some lemon and a little fruit to spike it - make it look interesting and I find I drink more when I do this little ritual. As always thought provoking work - thanks Lefie! :-) PS I know you didn't show it because your not ready yet - But I bet one of those cards has written on it "Take Steves good advice and get a Cat!" :-)
I agree:-) A house is not a "home" without a rescue cat from a local animal shelter:-) Btw? Research has proven that lemon added to water helps prevent kidney stones in later years:-) and who doesn't want to avoid developing painful kidney stones?!?!?!
when I'm in college I litterally wrote my (dream) grades for every subject in each semester in a tiny bit of paper and put it in my wallet. surprise, surpriseeee. i hit all of it and got on dean's list every semester lol.
I loved you right away....great presence and humour...been using index cards not exactly like you but along the same lines for years AND you can put all the cards on a board if you need the BIG PICTURE....
Reminds me of Catholic auntie's novena cards. Repetition. Repetition. She'd watch the afternoon soaps and flip through, daily. Elastic band them up, go make dinner.
Thank you so much for sharing and letting us in on your personal goals. This was very inspiring. I already have the index cards but I want to get some colored ones to help organize my thoughts into categories.
I've been using it as part of my journaling routine. At least once a week I review my cards and comment on whether they still apply or how well I am meeting the goals and mission.
six times a year i go trough a document with my goals for that year. I limit myself to have 5 important goals i really focus on. 5 goals are easy to remember, so i don't need to have them written down on flashcards, but every day i check if i am still on the right track. I have done this for 5 years now, and it really helps to changes things, end develop in the right direction.
Is it a coincidence that this video comes up the morning after I was looking at my previous vision boards, thinking I need to start on a new one? I didn't even say it out loud... Thank you for sharing this method! I took notes & already created a mind map of ideas for my vision cards! 👍🏼❗
This is great! I just made my cards. I have always wanted to do a Vision Board, but the thought of finding pictures that represent my goals is not my idea of fun, and in fact when I have done it, I usually give up. This was liberating, why does a vision board need to be a board? It doesn't, the value is on naming it, writing it and paying attention. Brilliant!
Thank you for sharing both this idea and the content of many of your cards. I did chuckle when you said "the next few slides" -- probably a side effect from multiple exposures to Powerpoint.
this popped up in my recommended after a 2h binge watch of high-speed brain-washing motivational videos but this one, honestly, provided what I was in desperate need of. mindful, slow-paced, insightful, thoughtful and real. the approach I needed to understand that there is internal motivation in me that I need to get in touch with and no external agressive advice and motivational speeches can replace that. those are just disorienting. i'm grateful for this vid. thank you, sincerely
Love this method! Perfect timing too. It's absolutely brilliant in it's simplicity. Such luck to have just found a deck of 3 x5 cards in my ten-lifetime's supply of office supplies that I'm mostly donating. Much gratitude!
Love this idea. I have done the techno versions and they seem to drop into the background very fast because of the massive amount of techno we are immersed in. A practical down to earth method that I can sit right by my bed and review when I wake up in the morning to activate my possibilities. I also know that writing things down activates Area 39 in the brain and the brain goes about creating any list that is dropped in it. Hence the grocery list you forgot at home and yet remembered almost every item on it. Thanks for this new/old idea. It is a winner!
Speed of achievement does not equal guaranteeing the achievement... I loved this! We’re pressured to do things quickly, hustle, grind when really we need to give ourselves credit. We’ll all get there eventually no matter how quick or slow
This is my first video of you, and holy shit your vibe! Immediately subscribing. The colors, the style, tour voice, your energy, the tone. Amazing video.
omg, that's what i need! Thank you so much for sharing your incredibly creative way to restructure the tranditional vision board. Cuz it's just no that convience to review on daily practice as you said. And I love your focus on healthy way to pursuit excellence and the list of accomplishments, that's so inspiring.
Hey!!! I did this!! I got really nice cards, the bullet journal kind with little dots. So au courant. :) Anyway, they work really well. I keep one on top as the "tip of the day" - today it's "Fruit is your Friend" - and put a 3 in the corner to remind me to look at them three times a day. I've added stickers to some, drew sigils and designs on others, and am generally having a great time creating my deck. I even have one reminding me to listen to my favorite song. It's amazing how much of a rut I can get into without realizing it - and how much I forget. But three times a day I can refresh and reset and give myself a boost of encouragement. And listen to Learn to Fly on full volume. Thanks again! :)
Wow, I really love your ideas !!! I spent quite a bit of time taking notes ! I have used vision boards a lot, and theyxare amazing and work. But I alleays had them , on the inside of a big cabinet so I could shut the door and no one would see it. I love the cards!!! Thank you so very much for this post !!! I am remaking them ASAP. I use a pocket notebook for my calendar, journaling and random thoughts. I only keep a couple of weeks in the future in the calendar, since I complete the book every two months or so, so I was considering index cards instead earlier this week. (This is one of those "I was thinking of index cards the other day, and then someone makes a video on it, what are the chances?"-happenings in my head, though you're not completely describing the same thing.) Really interesting way of using index cards here. Gave me some ideas on how I could use them in my life to better my journaling and such. I'll probably revisit this video once I've gotten a pack!
Hey Lefie … I’m going to try this out by first using a speech-to-text app, and then I’ll create the cards … BTW I just subscribed to your channel because ~ 1. You didn’t ask me to; and 2. What you have to say is interesting and engaging … Doug
Lefie! I loved this video so much that I made a blog post about this technique. I referred to it as the catalog technique bc I call my card sets catalogs. Of course I credited you with the idea because you are a GENIUS! I did this and it raises my vibrational energy SO MUCH! Thank you for creating this. I hope as many people as possible learn about this!
Hey, Lefie! Your pack of index cards reminded me of the Zettelkasten method. It is a way of storing knowledge and doing research using packs of index cards that are numbered hierarchically. It is like a tree of knowledge. And because of the numbering, cards can reference each other, intertwining that said tree, turning paper cards into hypertext. Isn't that fun?
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED!!!! Thank you!! 😍 I have been hesitating hanging up a vision board, because I don't want outside input on it. 😩😩 This also makes me super curious on what system and tools you use for GTD. Would love to see a video on it!
I use lots of index cards. Keep some by my favorite chair where I read to jot down inspiration. By the bed. In the bathroom. Near the dining table. And at my desk. Everything goes on my index cards. I had not thought of it as a portable vision board. (GENIUS). I think I’ll start adding pictures. And they are perfect for grocery lists and weekly menus. And you can take out one and put it on the bathroom mirror for added motivation. I journal a lot. So I’m going to go back to my journals and make some cards. Love this idea. I loved the way you presented. Hope you get that house soon!!!

You even figured out a way to minimize a vision board! So genius!
Wow my mind is blown by this idea 🤯 I love it 100% going to try this method! Thankyou for sharing 🙏🏽
Hey Jo, good to "see" you here! I've rallied a group of friends doing your exercises as we're doing 10,000 steps challenge now 🔥 How has this index card method worked out for you so far? All the best ❤️ ❤️ ❤️🚀 🚀 🚀
😅 it helps to organize thoughts after putting the hard thinking to established study practice, especially at a time when "thinking about stuff" could be difficult 😂
But making it portable, avails it for "seizing the day" (since there's really not 24 whole hours 😔)
OOOOOhhhhh you could get colored index cards for each section! :) I love this idea
I thought the same thing!
Or just color around the flash cards with highlighter.

Thank you UA-cam algorithm for bringing me this💙
I know right? Blessed.
Me too!! Buying notecards today!! 🥰
Yessss
It was meant to be!
i really like this idea because you could easily “forget” what is on your board but with this… it’s interactive. it helps add meaning to your efforts in goal setting through action. often times i feel like nothing happens with my goal because i set it and forget it.
I appreciate the fact you opened up a real intimate part of your life so we could benefit from your method. Thank you.
Just posted a similar comment. Should have read this first.
This is what I thought of right away!
Yep. You can even buy things like the pocket briefcase to store them in, or to carry around additional blanks. Her deck is a bit thick for the one I have though.
My only problem is, I have ADD and I am a very out of sight, out of mind person. I have to have things displayed or sitting out or I will literally forget they exist
Is this a sign of ADD? Because I am exactly like this.
I relate! Nothing stopping you from doing them both! Put your index cards with your wallet and things you tend to need for your day to day and leave yourself reminders about it. Habits take time, but will develop!!
You should do what floats your boat. this worked for her but might not for you. We are unique...so are our needs :) you got this!
Wow maybe I am ADD too cause thats sounds very familiar to me. But maybe both would be good for me. Ive been thinking of framing certain things on a wall in my bedroom so i have something in my face
@@arianareeves3042 good solution. You could also do a board to view at home.
That's a great idea, I'm gonna get a nee journal and start doing that uwu
I do it too! I keep a list of things I can do on my phone and just check it when I’m feeling under stimulated. Or overstimulated. Thanks, ADHD....
Thanks for sharing. Love this idea 👏👏👏
Some reflection questions that might be nice to include:
- What did I fail at?
Good one ;)
For the ideal self :
How would she feel?
Also, ‘if the well being of the world depended on your joy, what would you do more of?’
From
‘The desire map’ book,
Love this. Thank you for adding it!
Wow😍✨
Excellent idea! Healthy non-screen scrolling replacement 👍
Yes I agree. Thiis would be way better than double tapping instagram pictures
A ring binder and holes punched in the cards are also a good method.
You can simply use a note pad and make it like a small book
Great idea!!
In this material world one has to earn their freedom too.
@xbluebells I hope you revert back to your youthful self. We should be allowed to just be ourselves at work - no wonder everyone is so stressed these days. It's gone crazy! x
Are you Rich?
A note about your "Truth" section: This has a basis in psychology! Those parts of you that you like and are important to yourself are called domains (if you've ever seen Inside Out, it's kind of like the mind islands), and reminding yourself about those can help you recover from setbacks and criticism and protects our overall positive self-concept, but research has also showed it can help us be more accepting of strangers and work harder and be less upset when others make stereotyping judgements against us. It's really cool!
.
I agree
Say more please Sariahsue…..
What a simple and powerful idea! So flexible, portable, and empowering. Thank you - and I always loved cards!
Agree 100%
I love the vibe of your videos and how calm and yet inspiring you are, thank you, Lefie! And greetings from Germany in the middle of the night :)
same :D
This is so awesome! I do vision board workshops at woman's halfway houses and this would be a fantastic addition since these women come and go more often than not. They could take these with them. ❤️ Thank you again!
Those of us in our 60s have been using note/index cards...old school for decades. So glad you can appreciate them now.
For those who procrastinate...

omg i’m gonna write this on my card, thank you!!
Ohhh❤️
This is one of those moments when messages find you when you need them most. I really appreciated you sharing this portable vision board. I’m 45 and feel like I’m at a turning point in my life-so many things I’ve done but still more to do and I need to recoup and find focus again. It just so happens I also ended up with a bunch of index cards, paper, binder rings and discs for a different project (book binding has become a hobby) and now I know what the next project will be! Thank you for sharing and inspiring!
The inside of file folders make perfect vision boards.
That’s a great idea
🥰 i wish i could find what's best for me very soon 🥺
.
My visionboard is as flamboyant and grandiose as it is embarrassing 😂 so I like to hide it and hustle in secret 😀
sounds like the perfekt vision board to me :D
@@blattlaus4002 it works 😉
Great idea
I love this idea too! Still minimalist, yet a mini-binder would allow for a lot of flexibility & personalization! I think I'll try this ☺ thank you for sharing!
@@jaglinuxmint second that. Great idea!
What a friggin awesome idea!!! Literally paused the video 6 minutes in to go get a stack of index cards from my office, thank you so much for sharing
I have a whole stack of index cards and now I have a use for them. Thank you!!!
It's simple, it only takes up one page and I have it always with me ❤️
Oh, by the end of each year I cut that sheet of paper and put it with the others from previous years. I like to see what I've managed to accomplish every now and then 😊
I like your method, too! I like that you've included questions and your values. I see the reason behind it. So simple and effective. Keep up the great work, Lefie!
Hugs from Argentina 🇦🇷❤️
I love that!!
I love the integrity and authenticity of your goals 🙏🏼
Thank you.
Love the low light. In most videos its always so bright sunny and super up beat...own the shadow chill.LOVE IT!
i literally was grappling with weather or not to make a vision board recently because of the exact reasons you pointed out and i’m definitely going to go with your card method cuz it totally solves the contentions i was having with the board!!
PS I know you didn't show it because your not ready yet - But I bet one of those cards has written on it "Take Steves good advice and get a Cat!" :-)
I agree:-) A house is not a "home" without a rescue cat from a local animal shelter:-) Btw? Research has proven that lemon added to water helps prevent kidney stones in later years:-) and who doesn't want to avoid developing painful kidney stones?!?!?!
A dog!
when I'm in college I litterally wrote my (dream) grades for every subject in each semester in a tiny bit of paper and put it in my wallet. surprise, surpriseeee. i hit all of it and got on dean's list every semester lol.

yes, it was the music.
You are an old soul. This is the first time I have seen you and i am easily twice your age. And you have just inspired me like crazy!! Bravo!!
Thank you for sharing Lefie. I love seeing the world through your lens (and practices!).
I loved you right away....great presence and humour...been using index cards not exactly like you but along the same lines for years AND you can put all the cards on a board if you need the BIG PICTURE....
I simply love how creative you are ❤
Reminds me of Catholic auntie's novena cards. Repetition.
Love how concise this is Lefie - also, minimalist mood board/journaling ahoy - cheers!
This year your ideas mean so much more. The reasons and details are enormous. Thanks 👍🏻 again.
Now I know what that pack of cards in the back of my desk has been waiting for!!! Thanks❤️❤️❤️
this popped up in my recommended after a 2h binge watch of high-speed brain-washing motivational videos but this one, honestly, provided what I was in desperate need of. mindful, slow-paced, insightful, thoughtful and real. the approach I needed to understand that there is internal motivation in me that I need to get in touch with and no external agressive advice and motivational speeches can replace that. those are just disorienting. i'm grateful for this vid. thank you, sincerely
Love this idea! Not sure if someone mentioned this idea… using different color index cards so you can color code each section.
Great idea
I am extremely grateful this was in my recommendations today 🙏🏼 I can't lie, it makes me want to try. Thank you!
As an artist, I love to draw and write poetry on index cards for inspiration. I've also turned index cards into business cards to market my business.
Love this method! Perfect timing too. It's absolutely brilliant in it's simplicity. Such luck to have just found a deck of 3 x5 cards in my ten-lifetime's supply of office supplies that I'm mostly donating. Much gratitude!
In your handwriting. Looks good. Cool way to be discrete with one's goals too.
Love, love this idea!!!! My first 'how to make a vision board video" and I think I'm sold.
WOW! Great idea! So much better than vision board because I look at it anytime. I am doing this! Thank you for sharing!
Speed of achievement does not equal guaranteeing the achievement... I loved this! We’re pressured to do things quickly, hustle, grind when really we need to give ourselves credit. We’ll all get there eventually no matter how quick or slow
Forward is forward .. no matter how fast or slowly we go.
This was my favourite card Lefie said by far and it’s one I need to listen to for sure ✨

Anyway, they work really well. :)

Have a wonderful week everyone!
Your friend Mark
I use a pocket notebook for my calendar, journaling and random thoughts. I only keep a couple of weeks in the future in the calendar, since I complete the book every two months or so, so I was considering index cards instead earlier this week. (This is one of those "I was thinking of index cards the other day, and then someone makes a video on it, what are the chances?"-happenings in my head, though you're not completely describing the same thing.)
Really interesting way of using index cards here. Gave me some ideas on how I could use them in my life to better my journaling and such. I'll probably revisit this video once I've gotten a pack!
OH My gosh!!! Great idea!!! 💡 So many of these are ones that are just right for me too. Thank you for sharing. 😊
I’m going to have to try this! Brilliant idea!
I looooove this! I love that you have to touch them and make that physical connection
Hey Lefie … I’m going to try this out by first using a speech-to-text app, and then I’ll create the cards … BTW I just subscribed to your channel because ~ 1. You didn’t ask me to; and 2. What you have to say is interesting and engaging … Doug
So did I! Great minds think alike😊
Intriguing, I'm going to look this up. Thanks!
I had a high school English teacher who taught us this method and had us turn the cards in along with the finished paper! 👍
Hmm. Is it difficult to adopt
I do bullet journal these days
@@just1desi I didn't think so, and it was educational to see connections I may not have seen otherwise in my notes! 🤗
This is such a personal, unbiased, honest opinion about the concept. Thank you for this!
