Great guitarist!, seen Chris many times and the dude's a touring machine...doesn't get the recognition he deserves but that's to be expected in today's market and generation of self proclaimed musicians. He has skills and a vocabulary of music talent most guitarists will only have wet dreams about.
I have to agree, I've seen Chris MANY many times live,and he does tend to go off on some wild tangents in the middle of a great song which tends to ruin the whole thing. Unfortunately this is his style that seems will never change. none the less when he is on, he is an amazing guitarist.
I saw and heard a little Ernie Isley towards maybe the middle or I guess towards the end of the demo here but overall it was great! Sometime when you let loose like that somebody may be going through something on the inside and expressing it on the outside. as musician sometimes we say I just don't give a you-know-what and I'm just going to let it go and let it fly lol
Like SRV on crack....wow. Kind of lets a little too loose in the middle like someone pointed out, but he is a great guitarist. Not much like Jimi, much more like SRV.
I could never play guitar and shake my head like that. No wonder it sounds nothing like the original. Why call it Driving South when only the drummer and bass play to the original beat.
