And here i am at the end of 23 just finding this stumbling around utube - ive lost count how many times ive watched it in 2 days lol i like this raw version better than studio - great gym song
Ooooo BAAAAAAAAABY!!!!! My favorite Chris Duarte song. Excellent on the fly change. Wonder why no radio play for such an awesome musician. Great post!!!! =)
saw Chris open for Buddy Guy years ago in Gainesville......then hired him for our Blue Crab Festival......he put on one helluva show and just a super nice class act guy !!! Real laid back and easy to work with unlike some of the other "Divas" we had who couldn't even hold a candle to Chris.......he blew 'em out !!
I seen Chris and the boys around 20 or 30 times back in this era, and he usually always used the Hamiltone for Cleopatra. I think the first time I seen him the Strat for it was like 2005 or 2006. Great post, thank you so very much. I can't get enough of this line-up of guys. The best in my opinion.
I'm not sure what happened to the first guitar he was using. You're right - I don't think he broke a string. It may have been out of tune and was going to be too difficult to fix on the fly. He used three different guitars during this show - the Hamiltone, the Strat, and a green Les Paul. I'm going to put most (if not all) of the concert on You Tube, so look for the other tracks.
jimmy way i had the pleasure of these guy ringing in the new year of 2000 in kc. 6 HOURS,HE TOOK US THROUGH MANY TIME ZONES THAT NIGHT AND THE GRID DID NOT GO DOWN
sorry, poor drummer. If you want to learn.... mitch mitchel, keith moon, ginger baker, but most of all, clive bunker, the first drummer of jethro tull. check him out on the isle of white concert.
