I was there, this was the first time he ever sang Fireflies to a live audience. It was amazing.

I'd forgotten Matt's hair used to look like that! I remember deciding Adam Young had to be amazing if Matt Thiessen sang on three songs in his album, and I was right.

Trust me, I know. Matt Thiessen's involvement in the album was a huge reason I bought it in the first place.
I seriously almost went to this. =\ I hate it that I didn't cause Owl City is amazing. And Matt Thiessen is adorable so both of them onstage is awesome. xD This song rocks.

u were close and technically in parts matt thiessen does sing on the recorded version. i love that. every time my friend and i listen we listen for that little part and just clap like little kids its great
Ah, look at this gem... Back when he expected it to be just another song of his written in his parents basements translated to the SummerFest stage. If my voice could reach back through the past, I'd whisper in Adam's ear, "You haven't seen nothing yet! Come back in November, and the crowd will be singing the first chorus!" (Yes, those totally were quotes of Adam's other songs!)
It looks like it was performed on Adam's birthday, too!

He was at my show in D.C. in April! It was so cool! I love Owl City, but I also kind of like Relient K. :)
btw matt didn't just sneak in there he's actaully like close friends with adam (in fact on the recorded version he is singing with him) but still it's so cool you got to see him i love relient k to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking that too. but after the 7th time of hearing the song. I said to myself "okay, he has to be singing with someone else." it was bugging me too because i couldn't find out.

Yeah they really do sound a lot like each other, I didn't know that it was Matthew that was singing with Adam on his other track "Tidal Wave" either. At first, i thought It was all just Adam doing the singing..
Before of 2009 relient k was more popular than Owl city, that changed after fireflies
guess what relient k's gonna be at the alive fest this year in mineral city ohio and the best part is my church always goes there im super psyched :-)
yeah, their voices sond almost exactly alike when they sing, though, i mean Adam Young and Matt Thiessan. His hair is so crazy!

yeah i hope i get to meet him see i've been finding all these peeps on the internet that have and then asking how they met him do you want to here something depressing i got first place for 4 h which means i could go to state fair but my mom was busy and couldn't take me and the 4 h day was the day they were playing at the state fair for 10 dollars!!!!!!!!! i was so depressed i still am i hope i see him this time :-)
i love how everyone payed attention when Matt Thiessien comes out. i love RK to death but Owl City toatlly deservs all the credit for this song and right now Owl City is more famous than Relient K just sayin....

I saw this concert on july 3rd in omaha and matt coming to help sing was the only good part about owl city and a joke my bro made about the main singer we all thought he was gay(owl city singer)
