one weird thing did they ever mention where in space they were? Federation or unexplored neutral space? Weird to see the Enterprise sent to rescue this Roumulan ship randomly
On more than one occasion, ships have crossed the neutral zone in cases of emergency. A Romulan ship sending out a distress signal, even while in Romulan space, would warrant a Starfleet vessel crossing the neutral zone to lend assistance. It would not be perceived as an act of war, but an act of mercy.
@@UNLebanon ya but im just wondering why its never mentioned. Every TNG ep mentions Romulans crossing the neutral zone, the Romulans are crossing into federation territory! and not once was it mentioned where they were in this ep, just seemed so odd.
If the graviton field generator was completely depolarized, why not simply recalibrate the plasma manifold injectors to reverse the neutron flow, thereby preventing the warp transfer pathways from destabilizing the multiphasic tensor matrix?
I'm more impressed that Geordi knew what a Graviton generator was, considering Romulans use what can be described as an artificial singularity for their ships engine cores

@@PointyTailofSatan It just seemed lazy because I liked the episode, and wondered why the writers didnt even make any attempt....Easily could have been dealt with by having Ro ask Laforge why, he could have started some techno babble while chasing the Romulan and saying " ill explain the rest later." @@giantclam1822 Sometimes it’s better not to explain things. Because years later, the explanation becomes dated or silly. Imagine if they tried to explain things in the original Star Trek how much of it would’ve held up?
My take is that even phased, some rules apply like gravity. Ideally, there should be some resistance encountering other non phased objects, but they made no effort to illustrate this until Data got Geordi’s hand with the handled thing he was decontaminating the ship with.
The Galaxy class starships do have an ejection system designed to eject the reactor and the anti-matter pods that fuel it. It is mentioned on screen and is in the published technical manual. The reason it doesn't work or isn't used in a particular episode is for the dramatic effect. Redundancy and safety would detract from the sense of urgency the writers want. Plus successful use of the system comes with the complication of figuring out how to get the ship back underway and would be inconvenient to explain away except perhaps at the very end of an episode where repairs could happen in an epilogue or off screen.
I would give it a thumbs up if it wasn't for the stupidly LOUD background engine noise. Knock it down by at least half mate and you've got yourself a thumbs up, okay?
Always nice to see another Romulan ship design besides the D'deridex.
It's goo but the D'deridex is so good looking it shadows every other ship they could come up with.
Looks like a modified scout ship.
I love this show. Ive been rewatching them again after having a phase on Voyager.
When I was a kid, voyager was the new big thing... but we all went for the TNG re-runs cause they're just sooo good.
Watch Picard season 3 it’s the TNG reunion we always wanted

Any four minutes. Even from "Code of Honor".

David Carson directed Yesterday’s Enterprise and Generations as well. Don’t know why but his name stuck in my mind 😂

Could be unexplored neutral but then drift into Federation with damage ship .

Just a simple Ctrl-Alt-Del on the console screen works for me.

I wish they would lower the volume of the engines so I could hear what the actors are saying.

I mean one person can fly a Galaxy Class. maybe not forever, but for a while.
This ship is 300meters long. The ship in the episode you're talking about was less than a third the length. Very similar looking though.
Same prop different class.
I guess the decks had some special coating that prevented them from falling thru .
That's the problem with stories like this.
