    So its not a "non-profit" really, its a "capped income company". Microsoft is confident they can partner with OpenAI and take on the burden of those excess revenues

      Microsoft owns open Ai so it will gain profits because OpenAI is grounded in RD they will just profit whatever OpenAi makes in "the lab". They own OpenAi but they dont directly control it, it is controlled by a none profit board, but I can imagine you can easily see someone at Micrsoft seeing how to monetize the technology which is perfect fine because Micrsoft is a Seperate company.

    Me personally don't care if people can enjoy games on other platforms, what i care about is my own pocket and Game Pass is saving me a lot of money. Having Activision games day one on Game Pass is huge.

    MSFT has a huge stake in OpenAI, if they use it to help developers build better games, shorten development time drastically, and cut costs that could be a game changer for xbox on top of all of their recent acquisitions in the gaming market.

I looked her up online and found her website, which I browsed and went through to learn more about her credentials, academic background, and career. She owes me a fiduciary duty to act in my best interests. I set up an appointment to use her services.

      @@ryanf6530 It's not as easy and simple to switch to competitors as you think. UK needs Microsoft more than Microsoft needs UK and it's just Activision products are on the line. Microsoft could stop selling Activision games in UK or stop putting Activision games on game pass or remove cloud gaming in UK.

      @@daze4799 People don't buy Xbox just for COD or other Activision Blizzard games. There will still be awful lot of content on gamepass and anyways Activision games never come to game pass. So nothing will change for UK gamers.

    The idea that Microsoft is moving from autopilot to copilot is marketing. Projects like Autogpt, Babyagi, and Microsoft's Jarvis demonstrate that the AI community is still working towards developing autonomous systems. Copilot is just a small step in this direction, while autopilot is the ultimate goal for the long term.

      @@shingai5694 Sounds like you are the one that needs to do the research ironically. They can move forward without the UK, if the US approves, I'm betting they will. Numerous experts have pointed out how easily it can be done. Don't take my word for it. I just find it funny when people try to correct others, while they are the ones that are incorrect. If the US approves, they will move forward with the deal. Only way now that this deal does not happen is for the US to block it. If needed, the supreme court will not back the block.

      @@shingai5694 False, they can push the deal through and limit UK gamers. That has been stated lots of times by now, also by people high up. They of course do not want to do this, but if push comes to shove and the only country blocking it is the UK, then UK gamers will be the ones to lose out compared to the rest of the world, and they can only blame the CMA... well that, and brexit. In short the UK cannot forbid the merger to happen in other countries, they do not have that jurisdiction there.

    There is a huge discussion here, which we are not having. That tech will monopolize the work of people who sell knowledge and experience. If you create content and the chat requires that content to learn and answer questions, how will that benefit you? You have 20 years of experience and share that in an article and suddenly the chat reads and uses your info and your 20 years of experience to answer questions around the world so Microsoft can make money from ads. Is that OK? No!

    Man, their agreement is confusing. I swear all the articles i read mentioned Microsoft having a controlling interest until their waterfall structure kicked back a certain IRR, of which controlling interest is relinquished. I guess that is not the case.

    Very smart interciews this technology has massive positive potential.
    Too much negative sentiment tho and monopoly/anti innovation environments might be around the reason it took so long and again is on the start of slowing down or stagnating again.

    AI is an issue but the bigger issue that no one is talking about is Organaiods !!! They make the Current technology of AI look like a Model T compared to a interstellar quantum tunneling space craft !!!
    Less then 10k time smaller but has 7 million times more power then any AI will ever be using the current chip/solid state technology !!!
    What Todays AI was able to learn in 40 yrs a Orginaiod can learn in 10 mins !!!

    If ChatGPT costs money, "ANN weights" of the model (THE result of the massive training, THE "intelligence" of any AI model) are non-public, and (according to Elon Musk), owned by M$ - what part of Satya's claims make any sense?!

      @@daksans6764 I started out with my disgust of a specific software company, this seems to have morphed into a hardware discussion. Funny how that works, Obviously the two are inseparable in practice. I can say this, I have had a Chromebook for a few years and it is far more reliable and easier to use than anything I've had with MS. Any web product from MS is unreasonably slow and unhelpful. I suppose there is a reason we are on UA-cam discussing this rather than something MS "produced".
