I love John. But for me Eddie is the greatest SNL star. But it’s hard to pick one really. There have been so many.

It really seemed that he really needed ppl around him that really cared about him. Otherwise he would fly off the rails. He partied like that in LA because he was left to his own device. It was like he needed a babysitter or something. Idk. It's crazy. In an unlimitedly tragic way

He was a grown man. A 33 year old shouldn't need to be told to not shoot up a speedball.

As Bethoven he had a ring. He didn't snort it off his hand. It was in the ring he was wearing.

It really blows my mind when I think about John Belushi and where he'd be if he'd lived. Unimaginable! I can guarantee he'd have an Oscar along with being pure legend. As he was a legend when he passed and he was just scraping the iceberg man! He was going to be absolutely unbelievable! Endless potential. He could definitely make ppl laugh. But he could also act his ass off!! An could definitely be taken seriously. It's just another "What Could Have Been". It's just such a fuckin tragic waste of such a super talent! And this happens so much more in this fast paced lifestyle of these incredible talents. I mean just listen to the ppl that went to his home! DeNiro, Stanton, Williams, who would claim to see his ghost and it scared him into quitting cocaine as he was,as was obviously most of this community on a lot of cocaine. It was tge early 80s and these guys had it by the bag fulls. It was a necessity at the time. Ntm it was accepted so much socially in a big time way especially in the 80s. It was cocaine all day and all night.

If they hadn't given him an advance for signing on to be in "The Joy of Sex" which Aykroid and Ramis had told him to just turn down that trash of a movie and go back to New York to be with them and his wife at home. They were in tge process of making him the main lead in their film they were writing "Ghostbusters". Which they were sure was going to be a blockbuster film. And it was. And his character was replaced by Bill Murray. I could only imagine how much more funnier the movie could have been. Nothing against Murray he's great! However Belushi would have added his own input as well. I mean they could have had Murray with his excellent comedic sarcasm as the fourth Buster if they had wanted.

Lol. You can't just assume that Ghostbusters is going to be a success if you switch out Bill Murray for Belushi. You do realize the only hit he had was Animal House? Part of the reason he was partying so much was because his career was in decline. Who's to say his addiction wouldn't have screwed up the production of the movie just like it did with The Blues Brothers, 1941, and Neighbors?

It's not true, he told Cathy Smith to fuck off. Smith herself says heroin use made her very horny but John turned down her advances
