      @bUdDh1stPsYcHo that's a great point. I've been thinking a lot about things like that lately. Or the extra follow up shots and damage after guys are already K.O.'d I think the fighters need to take some responsibility or maybe have it in contracts and agreements to not permit certain actions that will increase damage in the short term but especially long term.

    • @UrbanDefenseSystems
      @UrbanDefenseSystems 2 місяці тому +1

      @@k.c.r.5974 Sometimes in the moment, it's hard to tell when to stop, both from the receiver and giver of damage. But definitely, a lot of fighters have too much pride. They can't all be like GSP, I know he's tapped to strikes, and yet he's considered the Welterweight GOAT. However, when he tapped to strikes, I remember the ridicule he received from the MMA community, 99.9% of which have never stepped in an Octagon to fight.

      @ChrisCre8tor I wish we still had head butts! They're still better rounded MMA fighters than we were then. Head butts and bag tags were allowed years ago. Now people wear cups and paint their fingernails.
      Not necessarily tougher, but better trained under the current rules.

      @@ThumperT51 "MMA has evolved" statement sounds simply ridiculous in relation to current Heavyweight division. Only Cyril Gane and Tom Aspinall, but other like Derrick Lewis, Tai Tuivasa, Marcin Tybura, Alexander Romanov and the rest for sure getting hammered into the canvas. Mark Coleman vs Curtis Blaydes and Jailton Almeida would have been interesting.
