You’re not only full of great ideas, you’re extremely entertaining! Love the humor you inject into the process! I’m glad your videos popped up in my feed!
Cover dies are one of my favorite products because they pack a huge punch quickly. What a great resource for getting even more out of that money spent. Your art journal page is incredible 😍😍
Hey Laura I love your fun tips :) and here's one for you! if you put a piece of copy paper or CS under the acetate. I was trying not to get imprints from my scratched-up die-cutter plates and found it cut through like butter! :) Bonus! Speaking of bonuses....Don't forget to cut your dies from fun foam and you have yourself a stamp to use too! TFS!
LOVE it - great ideas and gorgeous cards chickie!!! I have a video on glazing your die cuts like this for stencils that last a bit longer....hint, hint... 😉 And that art journal page - WOW.... 😍😘🎨
Thank you, Ingrid! 💖✨ Loved that video! Great tip and I’ll link it here for others to see cause it’s very useful! ua-cam.com/video/fDjPgBrBeC4/v-deo.html
When I make a paper stencil I want to use over and over, I spray it with. Clear spray paint just the kind you get at the hardware store. I've used one over 30 times so far.
Ottimi consigli! Ci proponi sempre nuove idee in un modo veloce, chiaro e divertente! Brava!! Non vedo l’ora di vedere tuoi nuovi video! Have a nice day 🤗
Never having been exposed to this skill set/craft before, I hadn't realized how involved it really is. Very enlightening Laura. You are so very creative and you have a great knack for teaching!
your die cut "stencil" pieces you could cover with masking paper then cut or matt gel medium to seal and make the paper/ stencil more sturdy and last longer
YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! You have the BEST ideas!!! Thank you so much for sharing!! BTW I have adopted your stencil storage system and it snowballed into a reorg of my big Ikea crafting unit. It's funny how one great idea can end up changing a lot of things! Thank you again. Laura. Keep up the great work and I hope you are feeling OK.
well done, I never buy them as they are too expensive. I do make stencils a lot from dies. Also the American coverdies are not the same size as metric cards, so I don't buy them for that reason either. I rather buy 2 stampsets for 30 dollars
I haven’t bought stencils cos they’re easy to make myself from the plastic bottoms of my shopping bags and my Scanncut! More moneys for stamps! Plus being in NZ, they’re double the price my money 😔
That's the higher price range, and whether it's worth it or not depends on one's style, IMHO 😊. Justine Hovey put it very well in one of her videos: it's not about the price point, but the price point per usage. That's why I like making these videos, where I try to come up with several ways to use one product, to capitalize on the investment 😁
@@LauraVolpes of course the price point per usage is important. But I think you mostly pay for the brand name and import price, I don’t think the designers earn that much of it and making of the products is not that expensive too. There are a lot of brands that sell much cheaper than 30 dollars luckily 🥰😅
I don’t know enough about running a stamp company to make that judgment. 😊 I know what I can and can’t afford and where I am happy to buy from. 🥰 As you said we are lucky to have a lot of options to choose from! 💖✨

Thanks, Maaike! I actually make all my cards in US size, even if I live in Europe. I just got so used to it now :) Thanks for watching!

@@CazkiwiNZ that’s cool! I also have a ScanNCut and I have been meaning to try and make my own stencils, too!
Another thing you can do with cover dies is to emboss with them instead of cut. 🙂
True! Thanks for sharing! 💖
Serious? 30 dollars for such dies 😩 I would never never NEVER pay so much money for just one die.
Beautiful cards and tips though 🥰

Oh, I was referring to the many brands we can choose from, but you definitely have a point! 🥰
