I love your ideas. Here's a tip I learned recently, to prevent vellum from cracking in an embossing folder, insert a piece of cardstock behind the vellum in the embossing folder. This gives you two embossed images for the price of one.
1:00 stamp help to push... you can use the stickers (you use for the legs of your chair, so they go smooth over the floor.. ) stick it on a blok of wood or an old shoebrush (flat) This works perfect to push the stamps
Colouring on the back of vellum looks so cool. But the Woolf card with the "reflection"!!! Be still my heart! That is soooo awesome! Makes me want to buy some vellum!!!
you're quick and it's obvious that you're very comfortable with your materials. I loved this video and will rewatch it several times until I get the process down pat.
Just came across your velum video. All I can say is WOW! Before I have shied away from vellum but this has really inspired me and I will be making cards with vellum. Thank You
Watching this video gave me so many ideas of using vellum. I purchased some but was thinking about how to use it and you have given me lots of ideas. Thanks for the creative boost.
Awesome!! I have a lot of vellum but have not used it much. Thanks to your video I will be using it much more now!! Thanks for sharing!! It was very helpful!!
I am going to be getting some. No die or cricket. Hoping to print on it with an ink printer. Loved the information & your perky attitude, will watch more of your videos. Thank you for sharing 🌻💐🏵🌼
I enjoyed watching and learning from your video. I have tons of vellum so I will be trying your techniques. Thank you so much. I’m also following you now. Have a great day. 😊😊
Just came on your video.Thank you so much for all of the ideas. A person needs to see them over and over to be able to remember and use them to our hearts content. Thank you again.
Hi this is Darlene and I'm so glad that I found your video again! I lost you for a while and I'm glad I found this particular video. You're a kick in the ass and I love your videos.
Hello I have tuned you in before but tonight I must have gotten you on my u tube looking for an artist that I like. But I MUST SAY I AM YOU ALL THE WAYYYYY. I now think it has been a sicknesses but I have gotten soo much better. I don’t buy like I used to.. I can totally totally relate BIG TIME!. I don’t even have enough room anymore in my art room. It’s crazy.. although I do much more than cards. But still what you said is the BEST FRONTAL WAKE UP CALL. EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW I ONLY PURCHASED THE SAME ITEM 1 time. Which I thought was great. But like you said how many birthdays yes your right .. thinking my birthdays are to old. So many clear / rubber why … I even joined Stampin up just to get my 20 percent off. And since I don’t know anybody that really is into it I wished it could even be like you overseas or were ever. It’s hard I teach myself through videos etc,, and that’s were my inspiration seems to stem from. Then I worry about myself cause why can’t I just do this without confidence and my mixed media ROCKS !! Even who is such a critic says there really good you should sell them . It really would be cool if I heard back from you,.
New subscriber. My iPhone must know I’m scared of vellum because this video popped up. You did an exceptional job of explaining vellum. You started with the weight of the vellum. Now I know why my vellum tears in my die cut machine when I use my beautiful 3 - d embossing folders. I could hug you!! Thanks ☺️
Laurel such a useful video. The thick vellum is so much fun to work with. Thanks for the link to Amazon. And I finally broke down and got the Debby tool as I know it will be very handy. Coloring on vellum yields gorgeous results. One other thing about coloring on vellum. If you use clear glaze (like Nuvo crystal glaze or Judikins diamond glaze or Ranger Glossy accents) to accent certain parts on the right side of the panel the result is so beautiful. The glaze just highlights the color. Thanks for the tip on the tape. Wow. That was worth the price of admission.
I'm a beginner and love this video on vellum. What an inspirational lesson. Thank you. By the way, what is the brand of the glue you use - you said it never clogs. I've got 5 different ones and they all clog. Please let me know. Thank you.
Hi, and thank you for the video...I've just started down the journey of embossing vellum, and trying to figure out how to get it on paper (without always having to use brads) has been a thorn in my side (to say the least). Would you be willing to show a video with the tape you are using with an embossed piece of vellum, that is "larger" than the width of the tape, and that is NOT colored in any way? I'm asking, because some of what I'm wanting to do is larger than the width of tape you are using, so I would need to add to the tape which is fine, I would just like to see it, if possible. Again, thanks for the video.
Love your videos. You don’t blab on and on (THANK YOU!). You’re to the point and not afraid to fast forward the video (THANK YOU, again!). And, you have a great sense of humor (and, finally, THANK YOU!) Great job and I enjoyed the vellum tips. Excellent! P. S. I just subscribed.
Love it, love it, love it! I forget about dry embossing and love the shading on the back! Must try this immediately. And that reflection one -- wow! Here's a technique I started doing a few years ago (actually a few decades! ugh) Emboss an image in white on the vellum. Rub q-tips on chalk pastels and rub them on the image to color the white. You have to keep changing q-tips when they become too fuzzy. This is a very soft look, so I usually do floral outlines. I also like to emboss on the front and use colored pencils on the back. I can scribble on the back but the details on the front make it all look good!
Very cool! If anyone has the larger Xyron machine, it will put Adhesive down on your vellum with no see thru marks. (That's why I bought mine!) It will also double side your adhesive for inlay die cutting!
Thank you so much Laurel I really really enjoyed watching you Crete all those amazing cards, and my favourite has to the wolves. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
My favorite was the alcohol ink used for the flowers card-AMAZING! Perhaps I couldn’t see it, but what is the name of your favorite glue? All of the technics you share for vellum were great, thanks for sharing 😊.
Thank u Laurel. The Wolf card was my favorite. I love how u made the shadows of the wolves on vellum. That is so cool. Thank u 4 showing us the adhesive that u use 2 adhere vellum. Do u know how much it is? Have a wonderful blessed night.
Vellum is a love love paper for me, them wolves wow. I have this real love for them beautiful animals. I also have to say your bubbly personality had me laughing a great deal. The life saving magical use of that tape has answered all my adhesive issues. Stopped using vellum due to the glue always displaying itself so sincere and utter happiness and thanks to you.
The Copic blender is not a blender. It is made to take color away. You can get your copies refilled. The ink is sold on Amazon. Watch using blender on certain earth tones. It will turn it gray. The blender will fix mistakes and push color back inside the lines of you stray out of them. I have taken a lot of Copic classes and would love to collaborate with you. Your videos are great! You have a new fan!
I learned so much from your speedy show, I had fun and don't think I blinked, yup not once/well maybe when you were putting that yellow moon and I thought huh? but then you shined when it turned white and my world was made perfect again!! You are a blast and I joined your channel and am looking forward to learning more eye opening attractions!! regards, Mo!!
Thanks for the great ideas. I did a little digging and the name of the person that showed the shadow technique is Lisa (not Linda lol) (Lisa Curcio Lisa's Stamp Studio)
Love the ink blending on the back of the vellum. I am getting an idea for a Christmas card. I love the wolf card and the first one with the cool embossing powder mix.
I love your ideas. Here's a tip I learned recently, to prevent vellum from cracking in an embossing folder, insert a piece of cardstock behind the vellum in the embossing folder. This gives you two embossed images for the price of one.
And you are the queen of blending. I don’t care what anybody says, that’s some good stuff!
1:00 stamp help to push... you can use the stickers (you use for the legs of your chair, so they go smooth over the floor.. ) stick it on a blok of wood or an old shoebrush (flat) This works perfect to push the stamps
PERFECT! Great idea!
I love the look of vellum but really didn't know how to use it or adhere it. This tutorial was amazing...thank you!

Hi this is Darlene and I'm so glad that I found your video again! I lost you for a while and I'm glad I found this particular video. You're a kick in the ass and I love your videos.

I purchased the Vellum on Amazon using your link. It cracked when I used the 3D embossing folder. But...I absolutely LOVED the tape!
Try spritzing it lightly with water, then use the embossing folder!
