Dame and Ginnis have the potential to be what Harden and Embiid were supposed to be in the playoffs. As long as the Bucks stay healthy, they're the best team in the East and should have a clear path to the finals.
Look I’m not even a Boston fan but “clear path” is a stretch, Boston is the only team outside of Miami that CONSISTENTLY outplays Giannis, & you can say “yeah but now he has Dame”…Boston has plenty of Guardplay/Wing attention to throw at Dame. Plus I think people are starting to overrate Dame in the Playoffs on anticipation alone (mind you Giannis is my favorite player in the League outside of LeBron but hopefully he gets better🤷🏾♂️, and yes I have the Bucks over Boston)

Giannis dominates the paint. Dame dominates the outside. It's perfect.
I feel people completely are overlooking that the Bucks have terrible depth now and also will have a much worse defence. This trade is essentially the Phoenix Suns with KD last year but instead having Giannis who at least can play elite defense, if either of them sit the team will regress significantly and get wrecked by better depth.

I think a silent winner in this trade was the Suns and while i hate them they were able to get off of Ayton's contract, get a decent Center and some bench players which they needed badly in return.

Organizations need to take notes from Milwaukee. Any time their star player hinted a cent of leaving the team, they made a move to make the star happy and better. They took 0 chances with Giannis testing FA!
It's a mutually beneficial, respectful relationship between Giannis and the Bucks. They drafted him and supported him, believing in his potential. He rewarded them with exceeding any expectations, making them contenders and staying loyal, and they keep trying to have the team remain a contender and not drive him away to a better shot at success.

As a Blazers fan, its sad to see Dame go after all these years but excited to see him on a contending team and to see the havoc him and Giannis are about to unleash. Also excited to see the youth movement for the Blazers and whatever else they can get cause they're definitely trading Holiday to a contender/playoff team. The Suns got depth as well. Solid trade all around for all teams tbh. We'll see how it goes when the season rolls.

I think Khris Middleton is going to do really well playing as the legit 3rd option. Suns gain more options for depth and potential rotation players with keon Johnson and nassir little. They are also getting a motivated nurkic who if he stays healthy will gladly accept his role as the rebounder/screen setter alongside their scoring talent.
That trade still unbelievable I cannot get it inside my mind, Giannis basically got a mini Steph Curry running the point for him, now he has a superstar teammate, will they both average 30? how big will Giannis defense be now that he got help on offense? Dame can run the PnR but who will take the last shot? And whoever comes their way how are they guarding this bucks team... So much to unpack...

I'm excited for DeAndre Ayton getting the chance he needs to stretch his wings, I'm excited for Lillard getting a serious contending team even though it's not the Heat, and I'm excited for the Suns getting some solid pieces to chase the ring next year. I really think this deal is a win-win for everyone involved.
