    Honestly this has been my favorite interview thus far on IT. Aubrey's calm demeanor and vastly different message than many others is just a great relief, as well as his trust and experience in psychedelics. I believe those are a powerful tool, and to see someone like him promote them for positive use, for growth and to explore the nature of our inner reality, will be an amazing example to show those who disbelieve that we really DO need the help nature is trying to provide.
    Thanks for this interview, I'm definitely going to check out his resources, and I'm even inclined to reach out just to give some positive feedback.

    Working hard it is important but it is strategy that is much more critical to success. Many people work hard making minimum-wage and never better their lives.

    • @carpediem7981
      @carpediem7981 5 років тому +14

      In the video, Aubrey mentions it's important to work hard, no where did he mention to not. But I think Impact Theory wanted to let us know, before the work (that we always knew about, but so tough to get around to), it goes back to our foundations and how we believe in our selves. It starts from there. It's fear that prevents us from making progress! I love what he said at the beginning of the video: "Fear is a belief that something negative is going to happen, rather than something positive is going to happen. So that's like on the other side, you are almost believing in your failure, rather than believing in your success. So you have to go out and tackle and collapse those fears."

    • @carpediem7981
      @carpediem7981 5 років тому +9

      Midoriya! Honestly, minimum wage jobs are tough financially. But I'm still grateful. Many minimum wage jobs offer raises with more seniority. Also, the best thing has been being around humble, amazing people. I feel like it's easier to find such people working in these types of places. I love it. And I couldn't have handled the usual cut throat environments others places have. So I'm ever grateful. But yes, regardless, there's so room for growth. I've been working on internal growth and now really trying to increase my knowledge and skills that I can apply. Anyway, yea you made me realize people knock minimum wage jobs. Do what you gotta do. Every job is important. Just steer towards your goals and what you love. And we'll get there soon enough. In the meantime, go beyond, plus ultra!!

      I agree, I see too many people working hard full time at Walmart and aren’t surpassing anyone physically or mentally. Working hard should be subject to use only for goals worth attaining. You’ll know the goal is worth if it improves your way of life in some form. Slaves always work hard. But who ever cares about slaves? Exactly

    Just taking a cold shower every morning is so powerful ,especially if you’re “not a morning person.” Aside from the health benefits, starting your day off with a cold shower gives you a “mental victory.” As so many of us have allowed our bodies to become the mind and control us; always seeking pleasure, constantly looking for the path of least resistance , and avoiding discomfort at all cost. Taking a cold shower in the morning helps start the day off with the mind in control. That one mental victory can set us up for more mental victories throughout the day.

    I love how he put balance of when to work hard and when to rest and how it logically makes sense to know when to rest or reflect otherwise you’re actually burning yourself to the ground and getting worse instead of better. Also love how he said you can’t do any better than your best and I agree a lot of us are so hard on ourselves when we really are doing our best. We should love ourselves where we are and say hey I can do better, but I’m still happy where I’m at. So many gems in this interview!

    Open relationship freezes you from needing the validation of our own self worthiness of love. That is really new and interesting. Lots of us would need to add this stressor to our lives to train more self love. I’ve heard Lisa Nichols saying something that can relate to this too, I want to love myself so much that the love oozes out that it’ll be enough for everybody else. And I won’t need love from other people because I am enough. This interview really opened my eyes. Thank you Tom. And Aubrey’s book, Is amazing.

    • @lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559
      @lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559 2 роки тому +1

      Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. Some people feel that open relationships help them grow, but for others, it's simply a way to indulge in their own neediness - always turning to others for validation/entertainment, instead of looking within themselves.
      Self-reliant people don't necessarily need an open relationship - they get most, if not all, of what they need from themselves, and one partner provides more than enough comfort/joy/entertainment/support for them. Some people simply don't need or the company of others enough to have multiple partners, and an open relationship isn't something they want to spend their brief time on the planet engaging in. Open relationships also introduce many levels of risk to one's life (the risk of a partner leaving, risk of contracting a venereal disease, risk of being victim to a crime of jealousy), and some people just aren't prepared to run that risk.
      All life-partnerships are a challenge, so it really comes down to what kind of challenge is more worthwhile for the individual - monogamy or polyamory, because neither is easy.

    What I think is so special about Aubrey is his balance between masculine and feminine energy. While you hear other "inspirational people" talk about "breaking" your mind, "toughen up" etc, you can hear in his words and feel in his being the wisdom of plant medicine (sacred feminine spirit) that he`s been blessed with. To me he`s an exemple of growth through trust in yourself and actual self-love instead of controll and grinding. Being a dancer and thereby connected to the wisdom of heart and of belly has probably also been part of him becoming who he is now. I appreciate him.

They get to do all that ‘hashtag grinding’ ‘hashtag humble brag’ and so on. It’s like the internet. Everyone does stuff to seem bigger and better and to place themselves above others and hand out judgment from that position of authority.

    Thank you! Without all the details, this speaks to a health crisis in our family and is the BEST reference point for me as a parent moving forward today and tomorrow and every moment after. Sincerest thank you to you both.

    I've just heart about 5minutes of the interview and this is really the message I miss from most speakers.. I always thought I was the only one who couldn't grind like 24/7, and maybe thought I wasn't motivated enough because I really néed recovery time

    Great video!!
    Side note: if you are a female still of reproductive age and you make it to the end of this video, cold showers are best during the estrogen dominant phase of your cycle (1st two weeks- day 1 is usually 1st day of period) when your body is trying to cool itself down. Switch back to warm showers during the progesterone phase of your cycle (2nd two weeks). Your body is trying to turn up the heat during that time and the hot showers optomize your hormones.

      Being in open relationship means he is getting validation from many other girls outside of his primary relationship.
      Being in monogamous relationship means you are getting validation from 1 primary relationship.
      What is golden?

    I was intrigued by the headline and thought, FINALLY, someone who knows energy! However, there is a definite energetic component that locks belief into the body and mind that is so important yet so overlooked. Getting over your fear has nothing to do with "logically" forcing yourself to get over something. It has an energy/frequency component that is trying to keep you safe. When you release "that" part, then the struggle and fear dissolves!

    The better thing, I think, is to say, you are good where you are AND you can do more. You are perfect AND you can do more. The 'but' implies imperfection and lack. You can say to yourself, "I am a both a masterpiece and a work in progress."

      He should see this comment. He could literally take all of the transcripts and extra footnotes of information for each episode and put them into a book or quarterly magazine of some kind and it would be an amazing self help resource. Reading the answers that these experts give can lead to a deeper understanding of their message that simply watching/listening to them can't offer.

    Another fantastic video. Thank you! When strong emotions come up, look at yourself in the 3rd person, question and view things from the outside. Consciousness will shine. And if I know I should, then I should be doing it. No more "I should be doing..." JUST DO!
