    This is a TANK. I bought one three years ago. I suddenly had unexpected health problems. I was laid up for over 7 weeks. When I tried to use it finding I had lost so much strength I was unable to swing this trimmer around like I should. Being 88 years old didn't help. I built a set of wheels to attach to the shaft. I push it around like a push mower. It runs great and does a great job.
    It is heavy because it is built like a tank. I'm still trying to build myself back up. Not so easy at 88 years old.
    The wheels are a life saver. I would not be able to use it if they were not there.
    Finally, it is a great machine for the money. I would not be afraid to buy anything made by Badger. I have a half acre with a long driveway. Need I say anymore?

    I don't know if this is a good tip but , I reversed handle and put it to the right so it works as a kickstand while filling the fuel tank

    So I just got this one for $107 after tax at Menard's for the curved shaft. Not only is it cheaper than anything else they had, but it's compatible with trimmer plus attachments. Also, unlike MTD products, you can switch out the heads instead of needing to buy a whole new string trimmer attachment at $100 a pop.

      Same here, just tonight. A menards employee making small talk with me said these things fly off the shelf like crazy

    There's absolutely nothing that drives me crazier than a how to video that doesn't show you how you do it.

    I had a very good experience with my wildbadget. I am going into my 2nd year of ownership. The badger starts up an runs strong. The 4 attachment work wel,l no complaints. The center rods fallout sometimes, but go back in easily.

    For 40 years I always liked Stihl weedeater and chainsaws. I'm talking Commercial Grade. But Stihl Product has went thru the roof. Way more than I will pay. Two years ago one of my trusted Stihl weedeater bit the dust after 20 plus years. I refused to pay their prices so I went with a Echo weedeater brand. It was the biggest one they had available a 302 ST with bike bar handles. It was 160 bucks less than the Stihl at 450.00. But power, it will output any Stihl I ever owned. And 290.00 is way better than $450.00. For home use I would give the Wild Badger a try. Looked like it did well for you.👍👍

    That's a good deal for the trimmer and what you get. I started out with Dewalt trimmer, quickly burned it up. Went with Stihl FS 56rc. It's been great, we've got some thick grass, brush and small trees. I hope the brush cutter blade doesn't vibrate too bad.

      It was a good deal but after just 1 tank of gas the motor started to sputter. I would purchase with caution.

    I love the review you did. But I bought mine and it was a 31cc 4 stroke gas engine and I can't find anyone to test review it.

      After having it for a while I would say, spend the extra money and go with name brand. After a few hrs of use it started to run like 💩

    You aren't the only person saying this, I just picked one up. To clear some land and brush for remote deer food plots! Got a Stihl FS38 , only starts every other day. BS

      Yeah the badger was good for about half a tank of gas. Then it just started sputtering. No bueno

      The shaft??

    • @cecilccrider
      @cecilccrider 3 місяці тому

      Yes the shaft! Where you push the pin down and slide it in. The pin sheared right off. And some kind of grease or oil spewed out.

    • @cecilccrider
      @cecilccrider 3 місяці тому

      @@sonofapollo5892 yes where the pin slides in to the whole, it just sheared off. Oil came spewing out. There was a real bad vibration. I watched 2 videos on putting it together. I know I had it together right. Something inside of it was loose and didn't last doing the yard the first time. I convinced my roommate to get it with me, and I haven't heard the end of it from him since. We went to send it back and they said they didn't want it back. I think they realize they're having an assembly problem in their plant or wherever they build them.

      @cecilccrider 3 місяці тому +1

      @@TheHomemadeHaven yes. They told us, that we weren't the only ones. They didn't want it back. They're having assembly issues.
