I picked up a 52cc Wild Badger monster trimmer/brush cutter on sale for $125... it is an absolute beast, that is 5x the unit of any of the expensive brands I have used.
you just have to adjust the H and low idle . turn the low idle screw untill the trimmer stops spinning . then press the trimmer all the way up and adjust the high idle . and youre done
@@gregcurcubeu6068 the only product that Husqvarna makes excellent are all of their gas chain saws. Everything else is all trash, including the riding lawn mowers. Great video!

I had a wild badger in college that was loud and reliable…she wasn’t too hard to turn on and Always got the job done…shout out to the wild badgers of the world!!! miss you old gurl😢😢
I have the husqvarna,(cheapest one from lowes) been running it for 3 years with no major issues. I never really loved the quality, but it does the job for me. I just don't expect it to last forever. mine came with a strap though
I was using it for a while then gave it to my buddy she needed one and it works flawless still! Def fell in love with the gas badger! I just got all their 40v stuff not as powerful as the gas that’s for sure 😂😊🤙🏾
And I've always been purely a gas power Stihl person buuuuuut....I also have been Makita cordless for my work for 13 years. Just got the 17 inch 40V trimmer and I promise it has more control, more power, less noise, less smell than any trimmer I've used and I've used the Stihl FS 131 which is a beast. Id 💯 recommend the Makita for anyone working grass at home. Only the 17 inch that has same gear head as commercial units.
Did you try the husky with the same fuel as the badger? Could have been old premixed fuel. Sadly the premix stuff couldve been sitting a while on the shelf. For the stalling issue might also be a question of engine not being broken in yet/ badly adjusted idle screw. Side note its normal that the husky spins the line while on choke because of the high engine rpm. Keep up the awsome content!
I mean think about it it’s supposed to be for the husqvarna! I even shook it up a ton! I’m gonna give it another shot in a couple days with the mix we made and see if it helps 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
Alkylate based premixed fuel such as Aspen2 or Husqvarna power 2 is excellent, it’s rated for a 5 year shelf life, the mixture of oil is always perfect for 50:1 machines and the oil used is high quality fully synthetic 2 stroke. Pump fuel will go stale in 4-8 weeks in a tank or can depending on the ethanol content. We have dozens of machines brought in with running issues particularly in the spring where stale fuel is to blame. More often than not pilot error not malfunction is the cause of people’s problems. ✌️
I don't have string trimmers from these two brands; I bought the Proyama one. I think it's useful! The string trimmer offers several advantages, including powerful performance with its reliable engine, making it efficient for tackling tough grass and weeds. Its lightweight design ensures easy handling, reducing user fatigue during prolonged use. The trimmer is equipped with a durable, high-quality string that provides consistent cutting results. Additionally, its ergonomic handle enhances comfort and control, while the easy-to-start feature saves time and effort. With its strong build and user-friendly design, it is an excellent choice for homeowners and professionals alike.
The Husqvarna choke will set the throttle to part open to aid with cold starts, as soon as you touch the throttle it will drop back to idle. When starting the machine hot you don’t need to choke or prime it just pull the recoil, don’t hold the throttle at all on cold or hot starts. The Husqvarna sounded as if it needed the mixture adjusting as it did sound like it was bogging down which had you bought it from a machinery shop they would pdi it and set it up correctly. The Wild Badger is very Chinese, fine while it’s working but good luck getting parts for it, when people bring in machinery like that we turn it away and refuse to work on them. The “extra handle” is a leg guard to stop you bringing the machine too close to your feet, it’s designed to hit your leg and stop that. Loop handle machines usually don’t come with harnesses, they generally come with a shoulder strap and hip pad, small light machines often don’t come with either. The Husky is repairable and serviceable, it’s unfortunate that you got one with a tune was a bit off out the box, the badger is tat. 😅✌️
Welp this is a pro comment thank you!!! Yeah unfortunate you have to have someone tune the husqvarna brand new 😂 my mind is telling me to fix it for content and it’s leaning towards that way 😂😂😂 thanks bro for the info 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I bought one of those six bladed things as an attachment for a weed trimmer. Want to add yard work to my list of services for my pressure washing business. I prefer gas powered tools so I don't have to ask for a power outlet.
WILD BADGER POWER 26cc Weed Eater/Wacker Gas Powered, String Trimmer/Edger, Pole Saw, Hedge Trimmer and Brush Cutter Blade, 4-in-1 Multi Yard Care Tools, Rubber Handle & Shoulder Strap Included = less than 195$...
My echo trimmer seemed I have had the same experience with it out the box.. when I started it I shredded the box and my other stuff in my garage haha.... It stalled all the time evertime I would use it... I am on third season with it this year, but for what ever reason this year it is running better.. thing is, it is my second string trimmer so I dont know any better. my ryobi tore itself apart after the first few times I used it
Buy from a dealer who will set the machine up, or take it in to one to be tuned and correctly set up. Buying online will save you money in the short term, but cost you time and money long term. 👍
That husqvarna is crazy. I have a troybilt, 4-cycle curved shaft, sitting in the garage with fuel in it for like 8 years and it starts up easier than that husqy. lol.
@LawnmowerMaster I’ve had that same model with all attachments for over 12 years. Built like a tank and almost as heavy 😅. Still starts on first pull. I reach for my Worx WG170 more often than not.
25 years of gas trimmers I finally had enough of them and switched to ego 2 years ago I keep a 4cycle Honda for all day weed projects for church and helping friends. That badger string sure looks thin like super flexible.06 cool trimmer Honda and my ego came with a strap lol
Watch the other comparison videos on here between the two, he didn't get a dud it's the norm from the new Made Mostly In China but still charging you for the brand name Husky's. I'll keep my $100 and use the Badger, might even use that $100 towards one of their 52cc brush cutters next summer. Husky is pulling a Craftsman and ruining it's name and eventually the brand fan boys will figure it out when they get several duds in a row and see how much of it is made in China.
The Wild Badgers have cross compatibility with MTD TrimmerPlus. Got a curved shaft without a strap or bush cutter blade for $107 at Manards. I can use all my TrimmerPlus attachments from my old TroyBuilt no problem. That's a serious plus. Just be careful when you need to free the line when it melts. The exhausting might catch the grass on fire.
Half choke always throttles on the Husqvarna, had mine for 2 years just went bad will only run in half choke, replaced fuel lines, filter and carb still doesn't stay on for more than 30 minutes 😢
I went all in with EGO brand cuz of you YardBrah. Would love to see the Wild Badger vs Carbon Fiber EGO trimmer face off. Thanks again for ever-changing my yard game Brah.
This brings back bad memories from my gas powered days. My EGO is a beast! I think you'd like yours more if you could let the line out a little (and take off that shield). Mine must be an older model because I dont have shield and it runs perfectly
Your so silly sometimes. OK all the times😅😅😅😅. That's why like watching your videos. I know your doing products reviews but I'll stick to my EGO trimmer.
Card needs adjusted. Thats only prob. those 128ld s all need it. its going on its own cuz choke also throttles it.i have 30 some trimmers. even badger has sent me ton of stuff as well.
Had my wild badger 4 in 1 trimmer 6 years ago online very cheap still runs like new....my neighbour spent $700 dollars for his husquvana😅at a local store
Good review ... 1- exception. Mix your gas yourself and save some money. Use unleaded regular in a 1 gallon fuel jug, use Husqvarna, Stihl, (I use Tanaka oil) and mix a 1 gallon bottle of oil to 9/10's gallon of gas. It won't be too rich, it won't hurt ANY type of gas trimmer. You save a lot of money over buying the pre-mix fuels.
It came with a harness? That's pretty sweet. I modified my strimmer with a 400 speedfeed head (best on the market imo), gorilla grip(better ergo), and edge-it attachment (it makes it so you can clean up edges as you are s-trimming, highly recommended). My only problem is that its on a makita (not a huge fan). The reason I went to an electric is because even the commercial trimmers have the same issue as the husquvarna where it stalls out. MaxPower twisted line was what I ended up using after watching project farm and the smarter every day comparisons (its awesome due to the monster truck voices). The stalling out drives me insane with the strimmers i use at work, so if this is an option I may end up getting it as my "backup" and then throwing the makita away.
Must’ve been having bad luck with the commercial units bc our echos at work and my stihls r great. I agree with the husky’s tho, seem to b built crappily.
One of the greatest days of my life was switching to electric trimmers blowers and mowers. I'm NEVER looking back. Maybe if I had to weedwhack down am entire forest or something... But around my yard? No way. If I had a realistic way to stop using my gas powered pressure washer I'd switch that out too!! It's the last remaining engine I have to battle 😆😆😆
Hey Brah🤙Loving the content. One good thing about the Husqvarna was you could get a mini workout in trying to start it over and over. Try switching arms, keep elbows tight and get some nice bent over row action in 💪😆😆
Great review brah!!That hisqvarna reminds me of a p.o.s. Craftsman i had before!! Got me a worx revolution and i love it!! I know ur a fan!! I wont be returning to gas anytime soon!!🤛🏽🤙🏽 Got me a
most Husqvarna string trimmers have to be carb tuned that's the issue your having with it mine did that so did my wild badger after breaking them in there carburetor just saying its a you issue not the machine issue with the husky for not adjusting its carburetor my husky is 10 time better then my wild badger i own them both i have a 129l that has been running good for 4 years so does my wild badger great video
I bought a 52cc trimmer/brush cutter Wild Badger awhile back; it runs circles around my other large trimmers. However, you are correct: most of these units need a knowledge of carb tuning to get the most out of them. They are generally set for 70°, 60% humidity, and at sea level. Any changes of environment can create issues that are easy to rectify.
@@YardBrah it’s always good to know how to work on your own equipment, I understand your frustration it should come good but there is always a chance for a mistake you can return for a new one, or just try echo I like them and they run well except their vac and shred equipment that broke on me still have to figure out what went wrong so I could fix it used it a while and not sure yet
Nothing wrong with the Husqvarna. Needs the carb adjusted. If you buy from a dealer, they tune it before you take it home. That’s standard across the industry. This is common for even $500 pro trimmers from Stihl or Echo
Adjusted like turning a few screws (litteraly 3 screws) To adjust idle mixture high rpm mixture and idle speed. Depending on altitude and ambient temperature 2 strokes engine might need adjustment if too far off from what has been calibrated from factory.
😂 NOW you feel my pain! Husqvarna SUCKS I bought my 122LK, and had to have it replaced in 45 days for a blown crank case, 2 months to get the replacement, and this year it worked 1 time, and now it’s in the trash! JUST BUY A STIHL 🤙🏻👍🏻👊🏻
The Husqvarna is having a clutch issue that's why the trimmer head spins as soon as you start it. Also, if the engine is hot, no choke is necessary. Either way, that's definitely not how you want your new trimmer to perform. Cheers Brah.
Yeah it says put choke on middle setting when warm… still nothing… clutch is def the issue … my mind says take it apart for content but my body is driving to the Whole Foods Amazon return center 😂😂😂🤙🏾
@@jaycee1373 I believe you're correct and I was mistaken about the clutch. I never really noticed but my Stihl also engages the trimmer head while the choke is on due to the high idle. Good call dude 👍🤙
No matter what the problem is it's new! They should have had that fixed at the factory almost $300 and before you can use it you have to work on it? No thanks I'll pass
2 cycle engines should be run at 100% when using. You’ll clog up the spark arrestor if it doesn’t get hot enough. Bad premixed fuel. Lots of channels have same issues with that premixed fuel.
well…I had one and got a few good years out of my 128 but it’s their chinese entry level. I now have a 525LST and it’s the best trimmer I’ve ever used. It’s the engine they bought Redmax to get. If you’re going to go gas you may as well get a quality commercial grade. The 128 is consumer grade…not worth the $
I'M SWEDISH & HUS-KVARNA (THATS HOW ITS PRONOUNCED - HES DOIN A PRETTY GOOD JOB SPEAKING SWEDISH, Y'ALL;) IS PUTTING ME 2 SHAME RN - - I THOT I WAS GONNA BUY A HUSQVARNA TRIMMER UNTIL I SAW THIS VIDEO ... THANX/BADGER IT IS!!😂❤🎉
Dont thank you need a brush cutter for that yard :) that huskavarna needs high and low speed adjustments on carb! To be honnest one is a Chinese brush cutter the other isnt truely huskavarna its made in mexico its for there homeowner line true huskavarna is made in "sweden" , most of the good qualitly stuff is in there commercial lineup and the price is noticeable my property is 34 acres. And hands down my fav chainsaws huskavarna 350xp 372xp 395xp $$$ as far as brush cutter i use an echo srm-410 42cc huskavarna,s true brushcutter is around usd 1400 so i choose the echo which was about 600 when i got it for grass i use a bad boy rambler dont thank thay will ever make electric stuff to keep up with commercial duty/large yards
I feel like this video was a sign for people to go electric and skip the gas 😂😂😂 I like the badger though I’m gonna use it in rotation of the ego line up 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾

Didnt know shit about them but I said im getting the most expensive one cos I cant stand with a passion to have a trimmer bog down! That Echo never gave me problems and I finally went Ryobi 40v just cos I felt like spending money 😂
😂😂😂 electric is so convenient! Back in the day it was like we were all allergic to electric… whenever you saw your neighbor cut his lawn with electric you’re like …. What a dork..😂 now it’s the only way to go! 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
I'm still using my black and decker 20v battery string trimmer, it has never given me a problem, still works like a champ. Husqvarna is a no go. Stay away from gas 😅
Husqvarna has deteriorated in quality over the years. Some people thought they went downhill when Electrolux AB of Sweden acquired them but they’ve been sold off by Electrolux and since then the quality has nosedived. I bought their cordless LM-21 mower a few years ago and within a month the switchgear on the handle assembly was falling apart so I returned it to Lé Chateau Depot for my Toro 60V Recycler. Stay away from Husqvarna. Because of this I now even question the current quality of their famed sewing machines.
Sorry Brah-Brah! When it’s hot as balls and you have pull on the string thing 😂!! F*** nah!!! EGO EGO EGO EGO EGO. I have 10 yards and EGO has never let me down.
I ordered a Wild Badger. Husqvarna sucks donkey balls (except their chain saws). And it's not pronounced "hooskavarna" it's "HuskaVarna". If you ever use the pre mixed crap in those cans, continue to use them all the time. If you switch back to the 50 to 1 mix like in the small container with gas it's a lot better. The stuff in the cans will clog up your fuel lines and damage and crack the engines just a heads up-I have an uncle who builds planes for Boeing and he knows his stuff.
I’m digging the harness and the shaft lol🤣🤣🤣

Stihl is good! Have mine for 8 years already and still going.
If the engine is already warm I don’t think you should start with the choke on,not sure though 🤔
It has a half choke position for warm starts 😊🤙🏾
Doing the bent grass right along with you … same steps … Hudson star orders ! LFG !
Aye!!! Lets go!!!! What color Hudson did you get! 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
“It’s not an issue, it’s a feature.”
-Husqvarna
😂😂😂 it’s crazy multiple people have said it’s normal for it to spin in choke 😂😂😂 ah-no it’s not 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah 😂 I was gonna say. I don’t think it spun for you at the very beginning, did it?
Dad came in and was like step back son let me show you how a man uses a trimmer
😂😂😂 did you see them crisp lines! 😂😂😂 “it’s not too bad” 😂😂😂🤙🏾
most Husqvarna string trimmers have to be carb tuned that's the issue your having with it mine did that so did my wild badger after breaking them in there carburetor just saying its a you issue not the machine issue with the husky for not adjusting its carburetor my husky is 10 time better then my wild badger i own them both i have a 129l that has been running good for 4 years so does my wild badger great video
My Echo battery tools are so good I put my gas ones out by the road for free.
I love love my baker it's the best n this guy is so funny 😂 one word it begins with a big B😊
Try adjusting the carburetor, sounds like that could be the problem
Brand new adjust the carb 😂😂😂 that sounds like a pass to me my dude 😂😂😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah it’s always good to know how to work on your own equipment, I understand your frustration it should come good but there is always a chance for a mistake you can return for a new one, or just try echo I like them and they run well except their vac and shred equipment that broke on me still have to figure out what went wrong so I could fix it used it a while and not sure yet
Knew you had a new trimmer in the last video lol
😂😂😂😂😂 sneaky sneaky 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah 😂😂😂😝
We are always watching 😉👀👀👀
I have been really happy with my EGO IQ so far.
Going to use it again in a few mins.
Do a review on stihl kombi system trimmer
Nothing wrong with the Husqvarna. Needs the carb adjusted. If you buy from a dealer, they tune it before you take it home. That’s standard across the industry. This is common for even $500 pro trimmers from Stihl or Echo
Needs the carb adjusted straight from the box? Adjusted as in take it apart and redo the fuel lines? 😂😂😂 wild badger was fine just saying 😂🤙🏾
Adjusted like turning a few screws (litteraly 3 screws) To adjust idle mixture high rpm mixture and idle speed. Depending on altitude and ambient temperature 2 strokes engine might need adjustment if too far off from what has been calibrated from factory.
Oh so u need to be a mechanic to buy this thing?!😮 not just ur average diy er??!👎🏼👎🏼
Try Stihl stuff next time. Pretty much all I buy. My preference, but maybe not for everyone
Yeah only have heard good things about stihl I’ll have to review it for sure! 😊🤙🏾👊🏾🙏🏾
when I bought a chainsaw I went straight for stihl, best 2 cycle engine I've ever used - but you gotta pay
Could you imagine you had a brush cutter on the huski
😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀 bye fingers 😂😂😂 what’s scary is what if your dog was just chillen with you and bam! Damn I’d be so pissed! 😳
Mine is 4 cycle 31cc
😂 NOW you feel my pain!
Husqvarna SUCKS I bought my 122LK, and had to have it replaced in 45 days for a blown crank case, 2 months to get the replacement, and this year it worked 1 time, and now it’s in the trash!
JUST BUY A STIHL
🤙🏻👍🏻👊🏻
I mean you did warn me and it’s just funny it was doing the same thing you told me exactly! Yeah we have to review a stihl next for sure! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
I have a Husq and 100% concur - line feed is trash. Can't wait to go battery operated on the next one!
Nice!!! Yes I’m super disappointed I had high hopes and literally thought it was going to kill the wild badger… wild badger is miles ahead 😂🤙🏾
lol - keep pushing out this content!
We out here 😂😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
"I can't swear on reviews" LOL
💀💀💀🤙🏾
And since it's gas, you should be able to run some Wild Badger without the guard.
I love yah brah but a two stroke should be run wide open ,especially when it's new
Yeah ran it for an our straight just to break it in… husqvarna is a headache I’m good 😂😂😂🤙🏾
husqvarnas have a high idle on cold start. let it run a minute then bump the throttle and it will idle normally. the head wont spin then at idle
@@YardBrahclutch is fine. It’s idling too fast so engages the clutch. It’s a carb adjustment issue.
Hate 2 stroke engines. Never got them to start reliably. Pull start over and over just got tired of that and now just use all electric.
Yeah I’m all electric myself but the wild badger will def be put to good use! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
At least you got free fuel and oil but back to the store you go
i have no issue with my Husqvarna string trimmer.
You are one of the few lucky ones 😂😂😂🤙🏾
Not a fan of premixed fuel always better to mix your own ! imo
Yeah I’m gonna drain it and pour in the mix I made to see if it helps if not I have to adjust the trimmer my self 🤦🏾♂️😂🤙🏾
You flooded the Husqvarna 😮
😂😂😂😂 I ran it for an hour after it’s not flooded 💀💀💀🤙🏾
Im geting one
2 cycle engines should be run at 100% when using. You’ll clog up the spark arrestor if it doesn’t get hot enough.
Bad premixed fuel. Lots of channels have same issues with that premixed fuel.
Personally I like echo or stihl the best
well…I had one and got a few good years out of my 128 but it’s their chinese entry level.
And hands down my fav chainsaws huskavarna 350xp 372xp 395xp
$$$ as far as brush cutter i use an echo srm-410 42cc huskavarna,s true brushcutter is around usd 1400 so i choose the echo which was about 600 when i got it for grass i use a
bad boy rambler dont thank thay will ever make electric stuff to keep up with commercial duty/large yards
I have bad luck with gas stuff, i'll stick with electric. Broh, that sucks hard.
I feel like this video was a sign for people to go electric and skip the gas 😂😂😂 I like the badger though I’m gonna use it in rotation of the ego line up 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
Husq got jelly it didnt get ethanol free gas brah 😂 🤙🏽 its boujee
That’s what I’m thinking my dude 😂😂😂😂🤙🏾
That Huskie is a piece of shize! 😂 when I bought my house 9 years ago I bought the Echo.
You know they got isotunes? Protect yours ears while lostening to music loud enough to damage them anyway 😂
Imma go play slip and slide on your lawn is that okay?!🥺👉🏽👈🏽
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 sure why not 😂😂😂🤙🏾
I'm still using my black and decker 20v battery string trimmer, it has never given me a problem, still works like a champ. Husqvarna is a no go. Stay away from gas 😅
Clutch trouble in the Husky, return it...!
Since I have been on an all bean diet I have unlimited ethanol free gas...!
Methane instead.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🏃♂️💨💀💀💀🤙🏾
When you did a review of the ego I was like whattttt is the @yardbrah saying gas is the way to go.
😂😂😂😂 oh the early days of UA-cam 😂😂😂🤙🏾
You said half choke . After it warm .. Then turn the joke off. This happened again.. They did not idle from the company..😅😅😅 I run this product
nah, I'll stick with electric. low noise, no fumes, no oil, no gas, no spark plugs. f all that.
I’m with you I’m team ego myself but this badger got me feeling some type of way 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah Must be the fumes. 🤣
2stroke is a pain. Get the Milwaukee!
😂😂😂 I have the ego line up but believe the wild badger is gonna be in the rotation 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
Sorry Brah-Brah! When it’s hot as balls and you have pull on the string thing 😂!! F*** nah!!! EGO EGO EGO EGO EGO. I have 10 yards and EGO has never let me down.
Love me some ego but this wild badger is gonna be put into rotation!!! 😂👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
We bought one and the shaft broke the first time we used it! Do not buy the Badger!
It sucks more because you used canned fuel
Not a good look for Husqvarna
Horrible I’m really disappointed 🤦🏾♂️🤙🏾
That’s wild! I’ve never seen a trimmer spin by itself. Trash 🚮🗑️
Isn’t that crazy!!! 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂🤙🏾
this is bad advertising for Husky!
First
😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾🐐🐐🐐🐐🥇
