Love the honesty, you could tell you did not want to like it, but did in the end and that’s an impressive feat for the Badger. Also props to Badger for actually sending you a Huskavarna to test, that says a lot about them as a company to be honest.
Thanks bud. I admit I tried everything to get out of this review ( I do NOT like contributing to the “one way trade problem”, but every now and again I find a genuine golden nugget. I believe this Wild Badger unit may be. They have done the R&D to properly clone the Husqvarna so to me it is like the Predator engines at HF. Solid budget option
Have the Echo PAS string trimmer unit and Wild Badger attachment unit and have used the Badger commercially on mowing routes to test its durability and noticed it overheated more quickly and is a bit on the heavy side but all in all it made it through a full week of mowing with no significant issues and held up well. Good buy for a home owner with a budget looking for a multi attachment unit
Finally broke down and bought some new equipment, struggled long & hard on what to invest in and landed on the Wild Badger bundle with several attachments. I appreciate your review and hope to find it as well running and trustworthy as you! Thanks!
Perfect video man. Great info and testing. I was really looking at the Badger set up. But was like ehhh. Till now. Thank you man. And the attachment swap!!! Totally threw me. That is gold right there.
I researched a lot of trimmers before my pocketbook decided for me and I bought the Wild Badger 4 cycle brush cutter. I have yet to be disappointed.ive had mine for abiut 2 years and it still runs like its brand new, or better. Of course I take great care of mine. Tool neglect will hit you hard eventually. Great video. 💯
I have the 26cc and the 62cc brush cutter and blower. I like them as much as the Stihl, Husqvarna, and Honda brands. I work on equip. The blue color stands out looks sharp and has landscapers saying what brand is that? when they see the Badgers. I used the 26cc to clear several acres of thicket and brush w/o issue. I went to the Landscape Expo in Kentucky 2022. I enjoyed their display the most. They were so nice and sent the company I repair for or a battery robot mower to try. Great video!
I'm impressed! My 10 yr old Murray died 2 days ago.(not the power head, gears died) Watched this video and a wild Badger is being delivered tomorrow. Good Video!
I own the badger weed Wacker I used the pole saw attachment to trim some branches when I was done and I turned it off I noticed smoke was coming from it why was smoke coming from it
After 3 20v Dewalt trimmers stop working i went to a 4 stroke 31cc wild badger.. reliable and tough as nails. More.power than needed. A bit heavy but not horrible.
yea i'm on my 4th year with the same 31cc badger and NO problems ever and i trim a good 1 1/2 acre land as my father does the mowing(he's 77 yrs old ) got tired of 2 stroke and battery ones always breaking down but i can fix them, just tired of them.
The Chinaman is quite good. I wanted a battery drill last year but the top brands were much too expensive so I ended up purchasing a brushless Worksite battery drill. The first set of batteries were garbage so I returned it and got new ones. Since then this thing is working like a charm. A technician came to install an Internet box but his electric DeWalt burned up in the process of drilling a pure concrete wall. I lent him my worksite battery drill. He fitted on his drill bit and it went through like butter. Chinese brands are getting really really good.
"Project Farrm style" ...yep, I'm watching this video. Stihl, Echo, and most Husqvarna units each have their own proprietary attachment connection on the shafts. That 128LD is a Lowe's special that uses the industry standard square attachment connection, so it won't work with other Husqvarna units.
Been using some old TrimmerPlus attachments my across the street neighbors left on the curb when they moved out on the Wild Badger. Whatever works, works.
I have a Stihl Fs56rc I've had since new in 2019. My blower is a Stihl I got from my grandpa for $100 runs pretty good for me. I'm hoping these will last me a good long while but time will tell. This wild badger looks ok I don't think it will be around in 10 years unless you baby it alot.
I've had the bolts that hold the exhaust on shear off from vibration once now. Also experiencing excessive vibration after extended use and has been that way since it was brand new.
Thanks for the video! Just wondering if you can install a mulching blade on the wild badger? Do you need to buy an attachment to install a mulching blade?
Thanks for the video. One question about the Wild Badger I'd like to know. My Craftsman trimmer has plenty of power, but the vibrations from this thing are off the hook. I'm a strong guy, but at nearly 60 years old this tires my hands out fast. Hey, we get what we pay for, I know a more expensive unit would most likely be better in this area.
I am a stihl man (when I can afford it), but I have a curved shaft Echo GT225 that is the most loyal trimmer I have ever used. I’ve had it almost 10 years and never even changed the spark plug! It just starts and runs every time. My blower is the same story. Echo is still made in Japan, which I think is a VERY important distinction
@@DEInTheGarage at one time I ran a lawn service, and I must say Echo outperformed them all, including Stihl and Black Max. Although my 20" bar Makita (made by Sachs Dolmar) chain saw is a beast. Yes, it's a gas hog, but will outperforme about any saw I've ever used. I worked in the logging industry 40 years ago. My favorite job ever was operating that little Timberjack skidder. BTW, thanks for the video. I actually enjoyed the comparison. Have a blessed day.
I pulled the trigger on one of these. It worked great-the first time. The 2nd time, it wouldn't start-no spark. I'm guessing bad ignition coil. I tossed it into a corner and bought a Husqvarna from a pawn shop.
Looks like it held up really well. Love the blade trimmer would be nice for all these little trees coming up everywhere. My husband will have to look into one of these he really needs one. Great honest review.
Yep, definitely need a blade, perfect for blackberries. Don't go too crazy with it though, they can put a good shock load on the drive shaft. I learned this lesson the hard way, twisted the end out of my clutch.
for what you paid for your Huskavarna i got a wild badger power 4 in 1 multi tool with edger and it fit all my john Deere attachments with pole saw..and it works grate..
Thanks for the video. I decided to switch back to gas powered engines for some outdoor tools, such as lawn mower and weed eater because they eat through batteries that need to be replaced at $100+ per battery. It becomes more cost effective to buy a combo tool\battery just to get the battery, but then it means spending more money than just buying the battery. Battery tools are great, but not for every tool.
Really like the Wild Badger, gonna see about picking one up. I've seen their attachments, they look well made and have spline drive on the attachment head? That said, I'm still rocking my two used and abused Ryobi 790r's I bought new back in the day, and "rebuilt" one that got roasted from using stale caster-bean premix.
Thanks guy, i just bought the wild badger set on amazon yesterday it came with a edger, hedger, weed eater head, and bush blade for 229.99 :) I hope it lasts the season LOL
@@walterrojas1075 Yes it all still works, but sometimes the shaft wont connect to switchable heads, have to jiggle to make connection work. Oh and the string that comes with weed eater head sucks, replace it. 2 pull start most times. Thanks!

I think I will just keep my 13yr old Stihl FS40 that is all original and runs like a top....💪👍👍👌
Probably a smart move bud. That is a classic!
I usually run my 2 strokes out of gas out of fuel after each use. Always use Ethanol free gas in mowers. Saves a lot of grief.
Amen to that!
Ethanol free is everything for small engines!

Check and make sure the internal drive shaft isn't bent if it's a solid shaft and the flex shaft support tube isn't broken if it's a flex shaft.
