And happy birthday by the way. I wasn't able to watch your last video so I skimmed through the comments a bit and saw that it was your birthday! So happy late birthday! LOL
Happy belated birthday! You did a nice job working the box. Look forward to part 2 of your knock-your-socks-off, runway porta-potty, barbecue dippin' sauce experience!
Great Job Once again. I grew up running up and down the isles of Dc-9's 727's 757's 747's and many more im sure ive forgot. It was a great childhood.I remember sitting in the pilots seat at night falling sleep. Nurse maid.
magnificent video matt. always love hotel viewing. hardly wait for the next viewing from that hotel. again, happy birthday matt and thank you for your hard work
Thanks Evan! The next episodes are even better, you'll see. It was a wonderful birthday that wouldn't have been possible if my fiance wasn't tolerant of being basically ignored for 36 straight hours. Most women wouldn't understand. But my NiNi does!
Wow!! What a wonderful video!!!! A shame you weren't able to catch the KLM MD-11 that was there Monday. But hopefully you will see one before they are completely retired.
Man it really sucks I couldn't be there myself that weekend but whatever!!! Lol Awesome video Matty! Great catchs all the way around. Im really excited to see the next two!!!
Don't you worry Caleb! Cuz I got ya covered. This was just a better than average Friday night. The next 2 days will blow your mind. But I captured it all for you. And then filtered out the boring crap to save you time. Just wait till you see what tomorrow brings
Hope you had a great birthday Matt! I would have commented sooner but I've been behind with your videos due to starting a new job in Dallas. Hopefully I can get some time to start making DFW videos and share the love of American Airlines with ya :)
Aww man! Well, if it was after dark there's probably no way I would've seen you - given the 88's lack o logo light. An MD-90 would've been absolutely doable!
Happy birthday Matty hope you have a great one!!! I wish TAMPA (TPA) had as much action as ATL :( Im going to be traveling through Atlanta on the November 26 how busy is Atlanta during the holidays?
Very nice! Hotel spotting is awesome! I did some at the Sheraton Gateway hotel right beside runway 28. Did you hear about the Delta 747 that was going from ATL to Tokyo and had to turn around because the engine blew up? I believe it was on Monday.
RUssianPilot737 COOL! I was actually looking at the Sheraton because the Renny was originally booked solid on Friday night. Luckily a cancellation opened up a vacancy so I never explored the Sheraton option any further. How was it? The rooms on the upper floors, north side of the building looked to be the best. I did hear about the Delta 295 incident. Wish I could've been there to see it!
Matt Cochran Well actually, NO planes came in on Runway 28, they were all on 10. So I had to kinda lean to see the airplanes pull off onto the taxi way. I was there for about 16 hours and not one plane landed on 28! Ridiculous!
So no s---, there I was. Taking my family to IAH so they could catch their flight. When suddenly (dun dun duuuuuuuunnnn) I see the inaugural 789 take off! Lemme just say, Delta needs those birds. They are freakin gorgeous!
I agree wholeheartedly! I'm sure at some point in the next 10-15 years they'll acquire some. But for now I'm looking forward to Virgin Atlantic's inaugural flight into ATL on 10/23 - using the 787. I've never bore witness to the 787 w/my magic eyes.
Montreal Plane Spotting in HD Thanks buddy! Unfortunately I did not get the KLM MD-11. It was on a Monday & as you probably know my job gets in the way of most weekday spotting opportunities.
Damn I love the Renny. I could sit there for days. Just watching everything is so cool, but the COST is pissing me off!!!!!! They jacked it up for rooms facing the runway. Bullshit.
Hell yeah dude. I would give anything to skip an entire week of work & not move from that balcony. You'll have a blast. Is the hangar show the event where I can stock up on 200 scale model airliners?
And happy birthday by the way. I wasn't able to watch your last video so I skimmed through the comments a bit and saw that it was your birthday! So happy late birthday! LOL
No problem Bo! Thanks buddy!
Loved it! Happy Birthday to you young Matt.

Happy Birthday Matty!! I hope you are not calling yourself old yet!!
Oh My God I would do anything to stay a couple of nights at that hotel! The view is simply amazing! Truly a spotters dream xD
Good video! I also agree about the DC-10, a DC-10 will always be a DC-10
Happy Birthday Matt :)
Thanks buddy! Glad to have survived another year
Your Welcome :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 4:30. It’s the British Invasion!!
Classic non-spotter comment from one's girlfriend/fiancee (I've heard it from my wife), "Oh, that's nice..."
I had a flight out of ATL to ORF on a MD-88 about the same time you were out there!

RUssianPilot737 Can you see much there?
Hey Matt, I'm coming to Atlanta next friday and saturday for the Delta hanger show and was wondering where is the best place to spot. Thanks Brandon
I'd hit the parking decks. Which one depends on the wind. What's the hangar show?
Happy BDAY MATT!
